Jimmy kind of threw his hands up after that they’re focusing on that and they’re also focusing I will say on Jimmy’s close friend sort of going off on the heat over the past 48 Hours on Twitter um and again I athletes are not responsible for their families and their

Friends and I I’ve been through this for 25 years and seen this kind of stuff we at have had to apologize whether it was Brent Grimes with the dolphins apologizing for Mo Grimes or others okay this has happened over and over right and and I’m careful not to do this but

It’s a lot the last 48 hours and then you kind of see the body language you see him not engaging in these kind of games like that’s the thing like okay against Memphis against even Atlanta against Charlotte against Portland against some of these teams but you look

At the game in Boston this year you look at the game in mil this year you look at the one here against Boston these are the teams the heat are being measured against and it’s like it’s a struggle for Jimmy to get to 10 shots and and so I’m gonna keep coming

Back to this because they can keep adding to the pieces to help him but if he can’t compete at least sometimes at the level of Tatum and brown at the level of Giannis and Dame at the level uh of embiid and Maxi if he can’t compete at that level this team can’t

Compete at that level and that’s where they’re at and so the Rosier move wther yic plays Josh playing too much Caleb going backwards all of these other things yes they mean something Tyler pounding the ball too much bam suddenly going to a shell at times it all means something but it

Doesn’t mean anything all of that combined doesn’t mean anything if their leader is not leading them anywhere and I’m just wondering we’re almost in February and he’s had like two names I can remember the whole season Greg that’s scary you’re right and I’m glad you started there because it transcends

When we just talk about the roster it that combined with Jimmy not playing well and Boston just being firing on all cylinders it’s just the worst moment for Boston to roll in because now they’ve lost five straight and they’re careening toward disaster like like honestly like

You you can’t get away from this you can’t lose seven eight in a row then you know like lose nine out of 10 some crazy stretch like that then you’re TR talking about salvaging a season then you’re talking about ownership asking themselves rightfully so do we just get

Out of the luxury tax and and and punt on the rest of this and that’s all based on how Jimmy looks and it’s all I think that everything else is secondary that the way that Tyler looks all the things you you articulated it perfectly but this is kening toward disaster and they

Two of three from three 17 points three rebounds four assists 29 minutes a couple of moments where uh he hunted a mismatch attacked it in the paint but again not enough of those uh bam eight of 14 from the field 29 minutes 19 points five rebounds two

Assists Tyler 19 points on seven of 14 shooting that’s efficient five of 10 from three three that’s efficient three rebounds six assists got off the ball I know we’re going to talk about the defense but I I didn’t have problems with him offensively tonight Terry Rosier in his second game got his first

And Josh Richardson was four of nine made some shots early SPO was just searching at a certain point point and again they gave up 143 um what is the biggest problem in your eyes right now it’s it’s so much but like just now two for 12 if you have Caleb taking more

Shots and Jimmy Butler in the national televis game on the night that the allar salers get announced and your star player Jimmy Butler takes 11 shots like you guys have been saying and we beating the de us but all of these moves are made to make Jimmy look better or be

Going to um have a fire sale but it’s just now it’s redundancy you have um Caleb is not really in my opinion no if and it’s crazy how much the team is relying on a rookie on Triple J um you know so yeah I think you need to do

Another consolidation trade but if this is how it seems to look Mickey might just say you know what we’re not paying the tax at all this season like if this what you guys are G to do we’re just gonna make one move clear the attack

Probably make K or s a contract and then you guys go if you’re going to lose as a 8 and go home and cry about it I think you hit a lot on a lot there um then I want to dive into a little bit more and and I’m seeing in the comments

It’s what do you want him to do Tony what do you want him to do how does he how does he lead yeah I I think it’s weird uh for stretches because he doesn’t look like a leader on the basketball floor and then on the other side of the coin and I’m

Gonna be the other side of the coin guy all night because I feel like I’m the only one up here but on the other side of the coin Duncan did miss him he cut hard the ball didn’t find him in the last five minutes of the game the other

Night the ball found Jimmy Butler a grand total of three times uh and tonight when Jimmy actually started to force the issue late in that first quarter and early in that second quarter uh when he cut hard the ball continued not to find them they don’t play with

Their heads up they don’t do the fundamental things that they need to do to execute good offense every time down the stretch I blame Jimmy Butler for that in large part because he’s this team’s offensive engine and defensive engine for for large stretches and matchups when he chooses to take over

That way um there’s no excuse for him just putting up 11 shots but let’s not get this confused Jimmy Butler doesn’t go out there and lose that game just he just doesn’t go out there and lose it by himself they suck tonight uh it was it was a dreadful performance and this

Conversation about where we’re going to put one player or the other player to make one guy better or the other guy better when he plays with starters Duncan played with bam the entirety of uh late that third quarter he was terrible there too it says the the guys have no

Continuity and no flow what they’re trying to get to I think you can look at this in two spectrums this sucks because we’re losing five straight and they have to work it out and figure it out and you think they are uh or you you just think

That they’re not and you should blow it up but they’re right where they were last year this is the same exact spot they were in last year the same amount of wins the same kind of BS in the month of January and they stuck it through and

Figured it out and they did it with names like Gabe Vincent and Max stru I think you you have an equalizer that’s coming back at some point in haime hawz but all haime does is help you keep leads to stop ballooning to 20 every 15 minutes I think that’s the only thing

That guy really does than God he does it uh but yeah this is this is continuity uh this is flow this is guys playing with their heads down and this is dudes complaining to refs uh for missed calls not getting back on defense Caleb complaining to the ref and letting go

Twice Caleb walk back on defense in that third quarter and that lead ballooned up eight points and uh yeah it’s stuff like that that they they can’t continue to do I don’t play with any fours on defense that that right none I mean like you know we’ve you know I started this

With Jimmy and there’s been so much focus on the offense and they finally cracked a 100 I was GNA celebrate that well they they almost didn’t crack a 100 after nearly cracking 70 in the first half there you go Tony’s got his wine uh but they ended up with 110 but I

Mean 143 on your home floor like 143 like I don’t care what error this that’s that’s the worst loss to the Celtics he have ever had ever that’s not Mi me basketball it’s just not what but they don’t but that’s the thing though it comes back to this world they don’t play

With any force on defense like if you look at my no physicality when you look at Miami Heat teams historically they got you off your spot like that’s the thing this team does not they they count on bam to cover it up by flying around

Now I know Haywood is the one guy who will compete in that way but others that we were expecting yeah I know he’s trying at least others that are expect you were expecting to carry the torch that’s the thing though they want to recreate PJ Tucker I mean I and you know

But the other guys like Caleb defensively uh Josh defensively they’ve not done that for them this year and so you you look around and then then you gotta play Hero and Robinson because you need to generate offense and you know you’re not getting the physicality from them on defense and things start to

Achilles heel right now I think Rosier and heith are the starters for this team long term in most matchups but when we play a team like uh the 76ers in the playoffs a team like Boston in the playoffs there is no doubt about it they need more size and it can’t be Thomas

Bryant he plays with all heart and no brain out there uh and and he got killed about 94 Times by Sam Hower on back cutson and they just need something different there more size to be able to accommodate the the type of skill that they’re going to face down the stretch

Because the 76ers aren’t going away either and Milwaukee ideally has a better schematic plan uh to be good offensively and defensively and they’re just as big again pieces on the edges here I don’t think are are are the big factor like it still to me it comes down to

Against Memphis where they couldn’t score at all to this game they score easy but they give up 143 it seems to be a different problem every night but the consistent problem is there is no clarity about what the plan is and who is going to be that guy that night as

Opposed to what it was in the postseason and you know what sucks about that is that that should be what’s happening right now they’re just integrating a brand new player but unfortunately they don’t have the benefit of any kind of cushion from a win perspective in the

Seaing so they they’re going through it now and they’re losing games that they can’t afford to lose when they’re trying to integrate a new player establish a hierarchy figure out how guys can get to their spots and the offense can look coherent and so like that’s a really

Tough spot to be in and so this comes back to we have a team that over and over again is making the margin for era so damn small and eventually that shit’s going to come back to bite him in the ass and I think that we’ve arrived at

That place now and so like they it’s going to be some sou searching that takes place going forward here because they are as I said earlier like that this could get out of hand now and so it’s going to be on the entire team coaching staff included to turn this

Thing around because you can’t lose like you can’t lose these next few games and expect to then try to make a run towards the four five matchup you’re going to be trying to just stay out of the play in for the balance of the Season all right
