The All-Star starters but I want to start Adam with Warriors versus Kings it’s NBA rivalry week yeah not for everybody not every game not every game is a rivalry you don’t look at some of these games go you know what the uh the nuggets and the K and the the Knicks

Right big time rivalry you don’t look at that but mellow trade I guess maybe oh you could look at that that’s true the Kings Warriors come down to the wire 134 to 133 the Kings get the win in this one Harrison Barnes with his career high as someone that covers the Dallas Mavericks

And he was the number one option there for two years I was surprised he had never scored more than 34 points for the Mavericks but Harrison Barnes with 39 in this one he come he you know they get the win Warriors come up short on the

King side of things how did the Kings get this done well I mean you mentioned it Harrison Barnes career-high 39 points and really so much in the clutch too they went to him down the stretch in some of the key moments uh and he delivered all but the very very end and

I got to be honest with you Nick this is I I I feel like the Warriors are done and I know that doesn’t feel like a hot take they’re 19 and 23 but tonight I was sitting watching with my wife and I told her I said this always happens to

The Kings game seven last second whatever it is Steph just hits a dagger and they always gets him and tonight Steph gets the ball down one as the clock’s ticking and you see him get to that left wing a spot he has hit many a

Game winner and I just knew he was going to hit one but he dribbled it off his foot and the Kings got the Victory and it just felt like metaphor yeah that that that’s it’s it’s over it feels like it although we already going to the warrior side but on

Their on their side like the Jonathan kuminga experience he was I thought great in this game what he finished with 31 points this one had some clutch buckets did have that uh what was a Miss shot at the end and you just look at man like what has Steve ker been thinking

Not using this guy as much because it looks like he should be they’ve been waiting their their next iteration of this team was supposed to have the James wisan kuminga Moody at least one or two of those guys were supposed to take them into this next phase and it looks like

Kuminga is going into that but man father time comes for us all and Steph Curry is still amazing he’s still going to be an All-Star wasn’t a starter we’ll talk about that but he was good tonight I mean he had a lot of good he’s six of

14 13 of 26 like I he was good it just was the moment the stage was set when they missed the free throw so Sacramento gets two free throws in the closing seconds misses both that’s just a bad Omen it’s like okay you had a chance put

This game away and you didn’t and here comes Steph Curry the scariest man in the NBA in that in that moment and then yeah he just didn’t get it done dribbled it off his leg it felt like there was that weird like contrived Steph versus Sabrina enescu uh Three-Point Shootout

That came out of nowhere that was like Steph was like organically talking about it before the game miked up like hey we should do this and then that’s already set up afterwards but yeah it does it does feel like this Warriors team is done like they they get beat by this

Team and the Kings who are not as good as they were last year but still very good and I I don’t know what’s next for the for the Warriors like where do they where do they turn to like is a Wiggins trade to get somebody better than

Wiggins like does that even take them to another level it just doesn’t seem like there’s a move to be made right I mean you know the whole thing was you got Draymond back they obviously had a tragedy uh last you know earlier in the

Week H and so you have all this going on where it just feels like for me at least it feels like a reset of sorts to say okay let stabilize and tonight was just one of those games where it felt like they had a real chance to win and real

Real chance to pull it out and they came up short and the road doesn’t get EAS here you know you got the Lakers coming up you got Philadelphia right after that so you have some tough games before um you know I don’t know if it’s going to

Get easier on the immediate Horizon so um so I don’t know you are right though that we do this a lot where we’ll talk about because the warrior being done and losing in this heartbreaking fashion and falling to 1923 when every game is so important for them now it’s a big story

But there is the other side of this which is that Sacramento getting a win in Golden State for the first time since 2020 um and and getting 22 three-pointers to do it um it’s it’s it’s really big for them as much as it is a big story for the Warriors it’s big

For the Kings feels like they’re coming up with some W like other ways to win games where last year it was a lot of down in the clutch you know clutch Player of the Year like and fox would bail him out and I’ve seen a couple times this season where it’s been

Somebody else that’s bailed him out we had that crazy Malik monk game sabonis has been great times Keegan Murray’s had good Game it feels like they’re getting more options and more guys contributing I think Mike Brown’s done a good job building that culture there where it’s you know different guys contributing at

Different times you know sometimes Malik monk plays a ton of minutes tonight he only played 19 you got Darren Fox sometimes he closes the game and today only had 16 shots which doesn’t seem a lot but you know uh you know it’s a decent amount of shots not a lot of

Shots for a number one option on a team basically and they’re okay with Harrison bares taking that step forward it feels like they’re coming up with different different versions of this team which is is nice especially when you’re going into a playoff setting no question it

It’s nice to get a big performance from a guy like that let me ask you because they made 22 threes tonight and it was the sixth time this year that they have made 20 or more three-pointers of all the teams in the NBA where does Sacramento rank among teams that you

Feel are most explosive from like if I said most explosive from the three-point line who comes to mind for you which teams well I’d have to say the Celtics because they went nuts their game uh by the way they are number one I believe no they are not no they’re not number one

In 23o games I would put the Mavericks somewhere up there not not like one two or three but like up there they six games with 23s so Sacramento tied them tonight for second most the Clippers are probably up there too they’re they’re explosive but not necessarily from three

They just have the one game with those from three the other ones Milwaukee who obviously shoots a ton and then number is Indiana with seven games and so I think that’s the list Boston Sacramento Dallas Milwaukee Indiana those are the teams I think of where just On Any Given

Night you might run into a team that goes 22 of 48 as Sacramento did tonight and you need a hero you know it’s heroic of golden state that they were in this game despite giving up 22 three-pointers they made 19 themselves but 22 three-pointers is just rare air and it’s

Wild for a Warriors team like this is why we say that it seems like that this version of The Warriors team 19 of 37 51% from and they can’t get a win just CU their defense can’t play at the level at all and not not the level

Like the the function of Defense but like they can’t play to a level to get them to to win they have the 22nd ranked defense and we’re used to these Warriors teams being able to go to a different gear and I’m seeing this with the Mavericks and we’re seeing this with

Some other teams like these small ball lineups aren’t working as as well as they used to you can’t just throw out a bunch of wings and it spreads it spreads the floor out and it’s this new concept like every team does that basically all the time it seems like it’s true I mean

There’s very few teams that that break that mold of of three-point shooting and it’s wild 24 teams in the NBA have made 20 at least 23p pointers in a game 24 there’s only six teams who haven’t done it so far that’s pretty wild I think if

You would re I’d be curious to see in like 2015 how many teams even had a single game of 23p pointers man I can look it up here very quickly but I’ll bet you it’s not very many I was going back and uh I was doing a project for a

Has done everything that he has done and more without the help of Giannis by his side he has been phenomenal to me he is more closer to an MVP candidate than like a fringe All-Star starter he has been absolutely incredible Lillard’s having a little bit of a Down year

Shooting the ball and has had some ups and downs I just to me this would be an easy call now I get it look the fan vote and everything else but I get why it worked out that way I’m not saying to change the rules but if you’re asking

Mean if you look at it that way I I don’t know it’s hard for me to get really wrapped up in in some of these but well same I mean I don’t really care but I but I if you ask me if he deserved it over Daven Lillard he definitely

Game playing next to Luca where he would only get the ball every once in a while and then he had to make his shots when it counted and you have to be really efficient because Luca’s gonna look at you you know you’re only going to get

The ball at certain times and man he’s just really taking the taking the next level it’s it’s wild to think that like about three years ago he got played off the floor in a playoff setting and now we’re talking about him like oh he got snub for an All-Star starter just

Defense but he said you know what he also wasn’t set up to succeed in any way with Wizards team with any of these players or or any of that like he doesn’t doesn’t seem to have a number one option doesn’t seem like they have an identity as a roster like if you just

Look at them on paper if anyone tried to play with them in 2K like what are you trying to like what are you trying to do with this Wizards team so it does seem like that uh yeah that that thing on the side shouldn’t say fired it should say

Reassigned because that is what they did and it it’s weird in some of these instances where like his dad is a legend in that organization right and this is this is why I never want Dirk to be in any like official capacity with the Mavericks that is like front-facing like
