Five sometimes six sometimes seven times a week during the season especially with trade season coming up there’s going to be an emergency pod probably at some point in the next couple weeks so you don’t want to you don’t want to miss that when that happens I’m Alex Wolf I’m
Editor and Chief and Nick site the strick Lin which you can find the strict. land he is Gavin Shaw your favorite playb play broadcasters favorite playb play broadcaster and the Knicks man woo there playing like your favorite team’s favorite team in this game 122 to 84 over the defending
Champions and Gavin I’ll caveat this my first one of my first thoughts in the first quarter of this game was like this nugget team did look a little out of sorts a little tired maybe but that’s no excuse every team has to show up to every single game they’re on the last
Leg of a five-game road trip out here out east uh they had some great successes on that trip tonight was not one of them tonight was a phenomenal failure for them because they just looked uncomfortable right from the start and I think the biggest guy that
We have to thank for that is OG anobi the quick quick statline from him 26 points 10 of 18 shooting three of nine from three uh also had six Steals and in his continued efforts to just set plus minus records like the world has never seen before with player with a new team
Ends up a plus 38 in this game uh ironically enough exactly the margin of Victory uh in 29 minutes A plus 38 and 29 minutes this was as crazy of a game from him I think as we’ve seen to this point in his next tenure yeah Alex I
Just want I wanted to zoom out real real quick um even even if anobi is like undeniably the lead of this game I mean this is the Denver freaking nuggets nicolea yic without Mitchell Robinson or Isaiah hartenstein and to be fair the Knicks compensated by hamar Robbie’s
Coding him when Dante D venzo just said I for an ey and just poked it right uh in at the end of the second quarter to me that changed the tenor of this game even though the Knicks W already absolutely rolling at this point but yic was kind of the one element they
Couldn’t stop um least points that Denver scored in the first quarter all year least points they scored in a half all year pretty easily I’m though Minnesota held them to 89 so I guess not easily but least points they’ve scored in a game All Season based on my quick
Scroll right now I mean this was just a completely overwhelming performance against um a team that I I mean after beating Boston in Boston and ending their undefeated home run on this road trip um that has to be considered like if not the best team in the league one
Of the top two so I mean just the the cherry on top of what has been a a dream run since the acquisition of OG and anobi and I think it’s fitting that the man himself had his best game as a Nick um this was such a a cool opportunity to
See his bag a little bit like early on like with the bench unit um like picking them up and and to me that’s when I knew the Knicks had a really good chance in this game is we we talked about it on yesterday’s pod like what what is the
Overriding factor against these great teams it’s the ability for the bench to not get killed and man they just they just played great like deuce hit a three right after coming into the game precies had like a a putback Grimes and OG were turning defense into offense OG in the
Half court had this like a left to right Euro that was just dirty and then in the second half man OG like he he looked like giant monard Jaylen Brunson like had a pivot fake one way into a pirouette the other for a lefty layup like half spin like snatchback um free
Throw line jumper against Jamal Murray and Alex I’ll let you get into it more but I I thought the defense again was was just incredible like in terms of his anticipation like picking off joic at one point turning that into a layup plus a foul like had another strip that lets
Like that Brunson reverse dunk like he he just maybe part of it was that yic only had one eye but it felt like OG studied him and and just knew where everything was going was like Ed Reed against Tom Brady and Ed Reed won the battle yeah it was really I mean first
To go on the offense I I agree with you that we saw some stuff that I didn’t necessarily know that he had in this game and maybe it was just anomaly Maybe was just feeling himself and you know sometimes that just happens in basketball like you know a guy just
Suddenly figures it out for a game and then maybe that those dribble moves won’t be their next game for him but if it’s any sort of development this is huge you know for the Knicks because I think one big thing that I noticed is that they were almost setting the table
For him similar to how they used to set it for RJ where you would kind of want him to be moving already before he got the ball and then make that quick decision to drive in versus shoot on the outside and then once he got driving
Something about it with OG it’s just he doesn’t work great off of a standstill like whenever they throw it to him and he’s out a standstill and he has to then start creating it seems like he’s really uncomfortable and that’s when you sort of see him like dribble the ball off his
Leg or you know just in general like seem to have a hard time controlling his dribble as he gets that whole process started but if you get it to him on the move or like somewhat on the move you know like where he’s able to just make that snap decision it there’s something
More graceful about it and in particular I noticed that with that pull-up uh the the like little midi that he pulled out where I think he had like a behind theb dribble going into that and everything else and I was like oh wow that’s that’s fancy we haven’t seen something like
That before and then to just smoothly hit that jumper like he’s got the elevation and the length where like because of his huge wingspan and because of how high up he gets if he wants to on a shot because he’s just Uber athletic you know he can he gets the same sort of
Lift and release point of like you know almost like a seven-footer on those shots and that’s that’s a big differentiator between him and like Jaylen Brunson or even him and like Julius Randall uh in the fact that he can get so high on those shots so if that’s one that he feels comfortable
Taking and and is in Rhythm enough to take that’s that’s a pretty dangerous look to have come like playoff time but then defense I’m right there with you like I mean six steals don’t happen by accident like it was it every single one of them just felt like he knew what was
Going to happen before it happened and to your point and I mean we’ll get into this a bit in the next segment too it was just a great like tag team effort uh between OG and then whoever was guarding joic where clearly The Scouting Report
That the Knicks had on joic is you know get right into his chest everything that he wants to do you know be right there like don’t foul him but just kind of like get into his space and that’s going to make him uncomfortable and we saw that with like some really
Uncharacteristic air balls in the first half even before he uh hurt his eye you know he had he had an airball at one point that it was like oh man that was really ugly and that’s not normally a yic type thing and then the passes were
Just I mean the level of discomfort that they were causing in him I I feel like probably hasn’t happened at all this season I mean to see jic come out of a game with only three assists is nonsense especially when one of them was like the most trick play trick play like
Playground stuff assist that you could possibly see where he just like threw it behind his head to Aaron Gordon it’s like okay fine you know whatever like there’s kind of no guarding that like because nobody expects that to happen but all the stuff that they could
Control they control great um it was OG to bring it back to him was just like if he wasn’t fullon like being the one to get his hand on those passes he was at the very least being the one that was ready to Corral it and then get things
Going in transition and whatever too we saw that late with the big dunk that he had late in the game and all in all it was just it was extremely impressive I mean I loved I loved everything about this OG performance and on both ends I
Think it was his best gam of the Knicks so far which is really saying something considering how good the Run has been to this point yeah one play I I even totally forgot to mention is just I mean like I thought maybe’s most impressive defensive play came off the ball in this
Game it was like third quarter Jamal Murray was coming around for handoff and OG just beat him to the spot and he’s just such a physical presence like if if he gets there first like you’re not getting around him because even without fouling like 72 and can just kind of put
His chest out and yic had to hold an extra second that was the play where Josh Hart just came and got the Brunson steel like right from behind where joic wasn’t looking and got a transition layup on the other end I mean just just looking back opportunity to give Tom
Fido some credit like OG would have picked up his second foul like five minutes into this ball game when he stripped joic and it clearly wasn’t a foul and tibs this was sort of risky like used to his first challenge just six minutes into the game that fouls
Wiped off the board OG was able ble to stay in Nicks maintain that big first quarter lead like who knows like if it changes the tener of the game and if all of a sudden the nuggets are just more engaged the rest of the way if if OG has
To go out there and they’re able to go on a big run um but this was a case like the Knicks just demoralized Denver really early and it felt like every like kind of like 5050 shot or 50-50 play that could go the Knicks way went the
Knick way and and Denver just laid down at a certain point yeah for sure I mean it was led by o but also inspired by some fantastic defense by the whole rest of the team uh so I want to get into that in the next segment in just a
Second but first I want to let everyone know about our friends over at eBay Motors our partners at eBay motors have teamed up with locked on Fantasy Basketball host Josh Lloyd to bring you some of the best fantasy picks each week all season long so whether you’re

Players here that I have my choice of but you know I’m gonna go Brandon Miller on the Hornets and Josh notes Here Miller should be seeing a big uptick and usage with Terry Rosier shipped out and that makes him a must roster player in fantasy I agree I mean he was kind of
Coming on anyway Miller uh was but now with more playing time opening up and Charlotte being one of those teams where I get the feeling they’ll probably still make some moves to move some guys out of town uh that’ll probably free up even more playing time and even more leeway
For Miller going the rest of the year so definitely a guy that I think is a smart pickup up there and an astute observation from our buddy Josh Lloyd and Josh from locked on fantasy basketball is going to help you win your fantasy championship in eBay Motors

Doing the score drop every single break when it’s a huge win like this recapping this 122 to 84 win by the Knicks over the defending Champion Denver Nuggets one of the best teams in the west and in the league in general uh and this was I think a one of the best
Defensive games that the Knicks have played this entire season and you know again I will I will float the caveat out there something seemed off with the Nuggets they seem tired from this road trip or whatever the case may be but I think that they rolled into this game basically
Thinking maybe they just haven’t been paying attention to the standings lately or something I mean like Michael Malone seems to prepare his team pretty well so I’m sure that he wasn’t being like hey guys These Guys these guys suck you know over there like they’re not good you
Know you don’t have to bother with them whatever but it felt a lot like like the Nuggets were coming in thinking that they were facing the Knicks of like 2018 or something like they just kind of came in they were L dying their way through the first quarter and the Knicks made
Them pay for every single bad pass I mean you could kind of tell right from the first possession of the game a relatively routine play between Jamal Murray and Nicole yic he just like air mailed it like three feet away from jokic’s hand and you were like what was
That dude like what is going on here and the Knicks just took advantage of every single mistake by the Nuggets throughout this whole game but I want to like especially shout out Jericho Sims and pre shua I thought they did I mean look defending joic is impossible he’s an MVP
Calber player he’s probably the best player in the NBA right now like I don’t think that’s too debatable um May maybe he could say Joel em beat or something or you know depending gotta do it in the playoffs once before you put anyone over joic exactly yes so I mean I think it’s
It’s joic and so there’s only so much you can do and he’s such a huge human being that it’s just really difficult sometimes to like defend him and you know that that came through like if you were just looking at the the stats on
This You’ be like oh he shot 13 of 18 and two or three from three and he had 31 points like he must have had a really good game but he didn’t I mean he just looked uncomfortable the entire game and that came down to a cheu and Sims being
Prepared and just like dominating that matchup uh as much as they could have you know what I mean like making an MVP look and play uncomfortable especially in the situations where he’s passing the ball which is like maybe his greatest strength as a player that was so so
Impressive and I loved watching every second of that yeah I I thought Sims did like I I was shocked just by sims’s core strength to not get pushed around by joic a few times and that was a theme throughout this game where Randall was like bullying Aaron Gordon who’s one of
The few strongest guys in the league but to me Alex I mean the thing that stood out the most defensively was the way the Knicks contained Jamal Murray um from for my money one of the top 15 to 20 players on the planet and nicks held him
To nine points three for 11 from the field one for three from three only three free throws and I want to I want to shout out um Quinton Grimes there because for I mean for everything Grimes did offensively this was sort of a echo of the Sixers game like I I thought it
Was really similar in in a bunch of ways and like the cherry on top of that was how Grimes just went off in garbage time in the fourth quarter and and patted his his statline um but ear in the second like when he came into the game just
Like our buddy Benji noted this but like Elite screen navigation and that’s something like if the Knicks are are apparently like insistent on on moving off of Grimes or or at least very willing to move off of Grimes that’s something I think they’ll sorely Miss in the playoffs because there’s just not a
Lot of other guys on the roster like Duce and OG to some extent but that bring that skill to that degree and like when you’re in the playoffs and and whether it’s like it’s Damen Lillard or Tyler hero or or Terry Rosier or or Derek white or or even Jaylen Brown like
Like all these great like guards and wings in the NBA like you you want someone like Grimes on top of an anobi to help you contain that and help you just Chase guys around screens and because Grimes was so good about staying with him on those like the Knicks could
Get second and third guys involved like they got um I think it was OG who ultimately oh no it it was Grimes who got to the free throw line because Deuce was the one who ultimately like knocked it away but Grimes slowed him down coming on the screen and there was
Another one where like he turned the corner and then precious um ended up like flying in and blocking Jamal at The Rim but it only because Grimes like held him up just enough that precious could make that rotation and get over there so to your point it was a total team effort
But I thought that started with the effort on the ball and like I’ll Circle back to what I mentioned OG like the effort off the ball like beating guys to their marks and and Denver because of joic is just going to get some really easy buckets like you mentioned the over
The head pass he also like a pick and roll with Gordon the first quarter where Gordon got a dunk like those are going to be there but the Knicks cut down on those in such a dramatic way and I felt like after the third quarter like you
Could cut on one hand like the truly easy ones that Denver got and and that’s a testament to Grimes but to your point like it was it was a full team effort like even Devon chenzo got a tie up at one point on on Jamaal Murray yeah and I
Thought a lot of that was just doing a great job of being communicative on defense like you know obviously you can’t hear on the mics most of the time you know like guys talking to each other whatever but it was obvious that they were calling out calling out screens you
Know getting over the screens sticking with their man you know like I I could not think of a single time where there was not like a perfect rotation in this game I mean it was just one of the cleanest defensive efforts that I think the Knicks have
Had probably this whole season in the tibs era even you know and it maybe it looks better based off the fact that everything that the nug were doing seemed to be just like a half second slow today so it just gave the Knicks that extra little bit of time to adjust
To Any Given thing but there was I can’t remember a single time that there was not like a hand in someone’s face for a shot or a hand in a passing Lane to try to disrupt whatever the Nuggets were trying to run and this is like I mean
Like the Knicks had a big win over Denver last year but that was like a scratch and clawed out kind of game this was just I mean they have not made a team well uh that’s a lie I was going to say they haven’t made a team of this
Caliber look this uncomfortable but they did just do this to the Sixers recently too I mean I think we’re really seeing we’re seeing the fruits of the roster building of this team play out where they’re just a lot of guys that can scoot around on defense that understand
The assignment um both literally and figuratively like in the homework sense and also just understanding their assignments on defense yeah and somehow Against All Odds I mean they just have an unfappable Center rotation now at this point too where their top two centers who have been pivotal to what
They were able to do for large parts of this season both are out and they still are able to produce this level of Defense with Jericho Sims who I was ready to like relegate to force center status and say no he’s definitely not ready please trade or sign for someone
Like two games ago he’s looked fantastic and pre sucha is really started to figure his stuff out too if not so much on offense but on defense and rebounding he looks every bit the player that I was I was pretty excited to bring over in
That in that OG trade is sort of a throwin yeah I mean the just the the fact that like I know I said it earlier you just said it it’s it Bears repeating a third time in 20 minutes the fact that not only did that not kill the Knicks
That it was Jericho Sims and precious at you against the cola freaking yic but they won by almost 40 points like I it feels it feels magical it feels unbelievable it feels like someone like dosed my drink earlier tonight I’m like living in like a fever dream right now
Like that is and that should be death you should have to like hard double him every time and he should just be picking out Shooters the whole game and granted like to your like Denver Miss shots they wouldn’t normally Miss and the Knicks just hit everything but it it defies
Belief that the game went this way with no hartenstein and no Mitchell Robinson and it’s just like if the defense is this good and after tonight they’re gonna go from being like a close first in the NBA since the OG trade to a Far and Away first in defense since the OG
Trade if it’s this good without hartenstein and Mitch imagine when you’re getting like 48 minutes of all the all NBA Defensive level play at the Five Spot in the playoffs like they are going to smother teams not name the Celtics it it is is what it feels like
To me yeah scary thoughts for the rest of the NBA and scary thoughts for the rest of the NBA too if the Knicks role players like du McBride and Quinton Grimes and Dante D venzo and and you name it can continue playing like they did in this game we’re going to shout
Them out give a little love to Julius Randall and I I feel like we got to at least throw some sort of Nod to Jaylen Brunson and maybe discuss his All-Star starter snub thanks to Fan voting I guess uh but Gavin first you want to let everyone know about our friends over at

Podcast Al righty we are back and I am going to do a rare thing in these player breakdowns and start with Julius Randall over Jaylen Brunson on a night where they were both fantastic wow this is honest like sometimes I’m I’m I’m prone to to exaggerating on this podcast Alex
My heart skipped a beat just now and I’m not kidding it really did when I saw that Julius played 30 minutes and Jaylen Brunson played 27 minutes top tho he’s learning this one have still been a 40-minute night for those guys in the past man oh man uh but I thought I
Thought Julius once again and and I feel like I’ve said this something like three times in the last four games played such a measured composed smart Savvy like all these adjectives that I would have been screaming the opposite with a few expletives mixed in the first five games
Of the year like he is just doing everything possible to get everyone else going like like in this game um Dante Devan chenzo had this great run early where he h it was 10 to five he made a three two possessions later made another three Brunson Drive beat a close out um
Another two but those threes if I’m remembering correctly or at least one of them both set up by um I’m I’m gonna say both of them both set up by Julius Randall like had another one late in the second quarter that reminded me of of Julius and forier like in their Prime in
That horrific 2122 season where um they ran like a little like like screening action they got the switch they wanted Julius had Jamaal Murray on him Julius passed it out he reposted Dante was kind of like push him further Julius was like waved him off he was like no no no I
Know what I’m doing Dante is sort of like all right throws it right back to Julius Payton Watson like takes a step over that direction Julius waits for him to inch just close enough throws it back to Dante Watson speeds back out to Dante Dante pump fake Watson flies by Dante
Three like he also set up an anobi for like another wideopen Corner three and then in the fourth quarter or not in the fourth quarter in the third quarter um he got cooking himself like um had this awesome sequence where ripped an offensive rebound away from Aaron Gordon
Then finished it over ni coloka just an absurd show of strength like got pissed off when Pon Watson blocked him and then just kind of put him under the basket like but he started off with the passing like the the crazy bullyball stuff sort of came when the game was already
Endowed like Euro Julius has made his glorious return and I like that more than anything else is a litness test to me for the Vibes just being incredible right now yeah it was I mean just the passing the way that he was leveraging the attention he was getting it was
Insane I mean I think that he was getting more defensive attention than Brunson in this game and I don’t know if that’s still I think maybe that’s still some teams looking at him and saying oh he’s he’s still the same guy that can be bothered by a double or triple team so
Let’s try that and we’ll aggressively do that and just hope that it’s a night where he’s making mistakes but he made so few of those in this game I mean routinely I mean that I just went back and watched them while you were talking about it pretty much every three-pointer
That he generated for someone else was because he just went inside waited for three Defenders to collapse on him and then just kicked it out to a perfectly wide openen person almost every single time one of them where he kicked it to OG was super egregious where I looked at
It and I was like how do you leave OG on noi like the corner sniper that open in the corner and it’s just because they were that worried about what Julius was going to do on the right hand side of the Court where he could easily spin to
His left hand and get inside and get a layup there and that leads into probably my favorite part of this game for Julius which was just the power that he played with and this is I guess also sort of goes with like Euro Julius or whatever
But like mostly is just the best thing that he does is use the crazy amount of strength that he has to finish on the inside and you could tell that that was really motivating him in this game and really giving him life because there was a couple finishes one off offensive
Rebound another one I think where he just drove right into the teeth of everybody uh on the Nuggets where I mean he was like putting his shoulder into yic and yic looked like a giant in this game I mean especially because the Knicks were playing Sims and atua like
He looked enormous against everybody on the Knicks in this game and Randle just threw his shoulder into him and finished through him uh also just was like Aaron Gordon who are you like get away from me like stop trying to stop me from getting to the hoop like you’re not big enough
And the more that Julius does that and the less that he leans on some of his worst habits of like settling for mid-range and stuff like that and you know or holding on to the ball too long and not picking his spots properly and stuff like that that we were seeing
Earlier in the season the more success he’s going to have and and those two key areas were so huge for him uh in this game I want to shift the focus to Du McBride though now who had another really solid stint I mean this was another one of those where he just could
Not Miss from three so he was four or five from three in this game but I think the biggest thing to me was that he hit them at really backbreaking moments like this was not like some garbage Time Performance that he had he hit like high leverage three-pointers in the the I
Forget if he subbed in in the first quarter if it was exclusively in the second but I mean at the tail end of The First beginning of the second quarter when the Knicks were really starting to pull away in this game and again even before joic got hurt they were already
Building like a 10 plus point lead from very early on in this game uh but like Duce just came out and hit really high leverage shots and he was also one of the benificiaries of Randall sort of running that second unit today and utilizing the attention that he was
Getting is like the the alpha like the pure Alpha of that second unit without Brunson out there and set deuce up beautifully and dece really took advantage I was very impressed with him and then as usual his defense was awesome just like every single player on the team’s defense was awesome tonight
Yeah um hit one literally the first possession he was in the game made another one at a shot clock buzzer off of like a great pass from Josh Hart I thought this was a really nice Josh Hart game like understated four points seven rebounds three assists but like he he
Stood out as always like with his ability to get out in transition like stripping DeAndre Jordan on a rebound um he I I thought he was just really solid in this game um I I wanted to shout out precious like real quick I know you already mentioned his defense but he had
Seven rebounds including five on offense in eight minutes in the first half that was crazy and like I I thought like his like he he’s continuing to do such a good job is just sort of like like a glorified janitor in transition like running the floor and saying like all
Right do do you need to hit someone for a dunk okay no worries you shoot I’ll just go get the rebound and put it back like he’s embracing like what Tom Fido asked for out of his centers and there was definitely acclamation period but now that he’s adjusted to it like it
Like obviously he can do more and probably wants to do a little bit more but like I like credit to tibs and like the Knicks front office because obviously they saw something there that if he was willing to just sort of like fit his game into like a I’m gonna say a
Nland Noel siiz hole like he could he could be pretty good and he’s done exactly that um and then I just I just want to shout out Quint grind like what like we mentioned his defense but I I thought the finishing was really impressive like it felt like he had more
Layups in the fourth quarter than he had the entire season up to that point um the the Euro reverse he had on Aaron holiday was dirty like had another like back cut into like a really nice double pump finish that probably should have been an and one and again with with
Grimes like whether they go in or they don’t go in like I I think the aggressiveness is is the most important thing but Alex who somehow gone 32 minutes and and barely said the name Jaylen Brunson um even if it was a quiet night by his standards like it was it
Was a spectacular one I don’t know about you I I didn’t know he had ups like that on on the one dunk yeah really nice dunk at one point uh which is not something you typically see out of him uh also just his usual repertoire of of scoring
Uh ends up with 21 points four assists in this game seven of 10 shooting only plays 26 and a half minutes which was awesome I mean this was honestly I never expected that this would come against like one of the best teams in the NBA but the Knicks desperately needed like a
Huge blowout like this because we know that tibs doesn’t mess around with a 20po lead you need to get like a 30 plus point lead Before He’ll clear the benches with seven minutes to go or whatever and he actually did that in this game that was huge for Brunson I
Feel like um I also it would I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring up the whole All-Star thing uh Brunson ends up in the in the grand scheme of things when you looked at how the voting broke down and how the Aggregates came down they did
They do like a point system now or that like a ranking system where they they use the fan vote as 50% uh the player vote is 25% the media vote is 25% and then they average all that together and then give you like an aggregate score of
Where you scored like in terms of the overall placement of you know where you are on all the votings he ends up in a tie with Damen Lillard at 3.75 uh with um uh you know not not able to get into that like top tier quite you
Know he was basically like tied with tied with Lillard but I guess Lillard got some form of a a tiebreaker there I don’t know how exactly that the pan boat just the tiebreaker gu I guess I don’t know because they didn’t really there wasn’t really an explanation I didn’t
Watch the TNT show to see what the whole criteria was there but either way kind of disappointing uh cool though to see media uh across the board had him as the number two guy and the players had him as the number three guy and actually Tyrese maxu scored quite a bit lower on
Other two ballots uh was the number two guy among the players so good to see the players not making too many meme votes I guess uh because we’ve certainly seen that with those player ballots since they introduced them and uh Brunson getting some love for Miss Pierce yeah I
Mean look he he deserves to be a starter like I don’t I don’t think there’s any question of that like as as good as Maxi’s been this year he’s he’s just been a notch better and I don’t think there’s any comparison between him and Lillard or him and Trey young like
Donovan Mitchell like especially with how well Cleveland’s played is is the one guy guy I think you could make a pretty compelling argument against Jaylen Brunson but the Knicks have just been so good and he’s just I mean for everything Julius randle’s done he just so clearly been their number one guy
This year um I saw an amazing stat today from um our friend of the Pod uh DJ Zulo of of Nicks Film School um where he I think it was from bball index where they have like shooting difficulty rankings and brunson’s difficulty ranking was like oh sorry sorry it’s like shot
Quality from three and and he got an F which means he takes like the hardest possible threes and he’s still shooting what 44% from three this season like he is like no qualifiers needed one of the five to 10 best three I guess that is a
Qualifier so I’ll just say one of the 10 best three-point Shooters um in the NBA and and if you’re just looking at this season like he he is a top five three-point shooter in basketball um and then you have nights like tonight where what did he make one three in this game
Two threes in this look he made one he was one for two from three in this game and he scored 21 points in 27 minutes against the defending champs because um you can watch unlimited film on the guy it doesn’t matter like he’s just going
To hit you with the same like four five six Combos and and you’re you’re gonna look stupid every single time and it’s like clockwork and it never gets boring it’s an absolute Joy yep absolutely and I think that’s as good of a note as any to end on we’ll certainly follow up next
Week or whenever it is I think it’s next week when we figure out who the reserves are uh in the All-Star game which I feel pretty certain that Jaylen Brunson is going to get and with he’s playing lately I think Julius Randle is making a pretty good case for the Knicks maybe
Having two Allstars this year so we’ll see how that all goes when we get there plus more game recaps to come more trade talk to come because the dead deadline is fast approaching so we’ll try to get in touch with some other locked on hosts and some other people from other teams
To get some perspectives on potential trade targets for the Knicks but till next time thank you all for listening and we’ll talk to you soon peace out Everybody oh
Alex and Gavin break down an ENORMOUS win for the Knicks against the visiting Nuggets, a complete evisceration of one of the best teams in the league from the opening whistle. OG Anunoby had his best game as a Knick so far, the Knicks made Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets super uncomfortable all game, Deuce McBride and Quentin Grimes played great, Julius Randle was a maestro, and Jalen Brunson justified why he should’ve been an All-Star as the guys recap an epic night for the Knicks.

I think Knicks should go after Alec Burks and James Wiseman (keeping Grimes) to increase depth without spending excessive resources
What a game bro! But i need to see this effort against Boston. With KP they are tough and im not liking it lol
KP is hurt again. Clear path.
OG oh my.
Knicks still need another backup PG. My dream would be for them to get Kyle Lowry off the buyout Market and keep Grimes
Someone tell Thibs that OG is injury prone
The way OG was anticipating defensively and jumping into passing lanes, it reminded me, at least for one game, of…..I wanna say Jordan đ
I think they looked out of sorts because OG took Murray out of rhythm. Didn't have a setup artist made joker shoot his shots no easy passes for buckets
One of Simmsâs great strengths is defending in space and he really just did an excellent job of forcing Jokic into difficult shots, and passing out of the post.
Well , guys,I follow Knicks since 1983 ,and I would like to believe that Knicks is a contender to reach the NBA finals ,only if they would hire Fox and Sabonis from Kings, otherwise it will be only a "dream".Also the Head coach is stubborn about the rotation of some players if when they are healthy.
You talking Defense? Wait till we get HERB JONES!!!
Just canât believe how you all believe a team can play 4 on 5 on the offense side and go deep in the playoffsâŠ. Celtics, bucks, heat, 76 ers, pacers all have shooting centers and will likely go deeper in the playoffsâŠbut I am confident you will ignore that when the Knicks flame out and blame Randle and thibs.
OG is a high IQ player that just knows what to do to help his team win. If there is a knock on him, is that he doesn't; look to score enough. This game he actually decided he wants to be as scorer and it worked out great. He always wanted to be a bigger scorer and Knicks are his chance. I want him to average 18 points a game for us as our 3rd option – would be ideal if his %s hold up.
IMO, the Knicks don't need to make any more trades. We have what we need to make the ECF. BOOKIT!!!!
Got to watch OG doesn't get hurt because of playing so hard. Looks all great now…until he's twists something.
The New York Knick's are already the number three seed in the east. Don't get fooled by the standings. All we have to do is claim it.
