Honestly I like yak but man was it really this hard to get a floor spacing big? Like we couldn’t give up a first and a second or something for Myles turner?

Even Giannis can not take Khem Birch to a playoff run

Turner is a great fit next to Siakam. A floor spacing center that can block shots? That’s very similar to what we had in ibaka (siakam played his best next to him).

  4. If Scottie leaned into playing centre it would have worked but he wants to be a pg. I think his best position is point centre. He’s big enough and strong enough to do it. He’s jaren Jackson jr but better.

Masai also got him Ibaka and Gasol to learn from. And if rumors are to be believed tried to get Miles Turner for years.

One of the biggest mistakes we made was not trading gary trent and salary filler+ a first for turner or kristaps back in 2022. Both deals were on the table back then when gary actually had value. But no, Masai just wanted to fleece the other team by not giving up anything of value. Now we cant even get a pick for gary.

Myles Turner was probably gettable prior to Haliburton. He was in trade rumors forever. Porzingus was definitely gettable.

This obsession over everything Pascal says as a Pacer is going to become a mental illness. Please move on with your lives.

The man is rich and exactly where he wants to be and y’all are acting as if you’ve been through a terrible breakup. It’s the business of sports and life will go on for everybody.

  9. Are we forgetting Ibaka and Gasol which are actually huge in getting the Raps a chip? That was a perfect centre duo each brining their own skillset that played off each other.

Mannn….that 2019 team was a thing of beauty.

Pacers are turning into a problem – even before Siakam they were good but this is a legitimate championship contender.

I’m happy for him – he brings championship mentality and experience.

The thing masai fumbled the most was the center position and how he ended up getting poeltl. If we just went for turner early on and traded 2 picks which ended up going to the spurs anyways we would be in a much better position

This trade is going to age very poorly for us, unfortunately.

Well he did play with serg and gasol. I do agree that every center after that wasn’t the best fit. Then again floor spacing bigs at 5 the who play good defence are pretty rare.

I wanted Myles Turner so badly last year. If the FO felt like we needed to give the team a legit 5 to see if the FVV/Pascal/Barnes team could’ve worked then this was the move. And Indiana seemed willing to move him. Giving up OG at the time seemed like a non-starter but in hindsight it makes me wonder if that should’ve been the move. The FO and us were clearly trying by all means possible to keep both OG and Pascal, but to think that OG might have been the piece paired with GTJ to get KD or alone to get Turner hurts. I think OG is a more impactful defender, but having a Turner would’ve maybe helped the other guys to blossom a bit more

  15. My favorite part of this entire season was watching Jak stand literally directly underneath the basket on multiple siakam drives and siakam’s face when jak would just stare at him like an idiot. Priceless.

Bro had ibaka and gasol and they both chose to leave

guess what? he could have the best shooters in the world and still won’t make it far in playoffs since he isn’t good enough to lead a team.
