Larry makes $11M next season. Jonas makes $15M this season. There’s no way if I’m Jonas’ agent I’m taking less than what Larry gets next season, even if it’s a $40M/4 year, which seems totally reasonable. Any extension of JV would hinder extensions (because we know the luxury tax is an impossibility with this franchise) with BI and Trey without moving pieces.

You guys worried about Jonas, but not asking if Ingram is worth $40 million per year is quite more alarming and concerning.

May need him for a sign and trade for salary purposes

JV has been great this year and I hate to trade a player who shows up every night, consummate professional.
However: He’s not getting any younger and you have to ask yourself, “is his value going to get any higher than what it is right now?” To me the answer is realistically no. Idk exactly who the Pels will/can get but “sell high” is a theme the Pels need to adapt quickly before assets in different ways spoil.
