I think you guys hit like 13 of 26 from three to start the game just what do you see from the three-point line tonight I thought the the quality of the looks that we got um probably led to how many we made out of

26 you know we’re a team with a lot of Shooters I think sometimes we depend on our ability to to make threes instead of doing the things that generate quality threes and I think in a game like tonight you know we came out our Pace

Was really good uh we we got stopped so we were able to get out and run not playing against a set defense and um we had a lot more uh moments where we made the the extra pass um we kind of just played for each other and we got so many

Good Shooters on our team when we play that way and when we move the ball that way we going to get quality looks and we going to make a high percentage of them more nice than than not and I think that was um how that happened three games I say

Three games in four nights is always difficult um you guys have been through a lot in those four nights um just what do you think of the team’s ability to respond with everything kind of going on yeah I thought it was I thought it was great um you

Know over the course of 82 games a lot of things happen you know as a team you experience a lot of things and um you know I think the way we’ve been able to kind of just keep on pushing forward through it all not just in this moment

But the you know a few other moments that we’ve had similar to this um during the season um it’s only going going to make us a stronger team it’s only going to make us a tighter group and it’s only going to just make us better for the long run

You know you never what’s going to come up and I think these moments you know is only going to make us stronger this morning Doc Rivers said um you can’t do too much too soon when he takes over this going to be your third head coach

In a week what are you hoping for what do you want literally in the next 48 hours or so what do you want to work on with him or hear from him um I don’t I don’t have anything specific where I’m like I hope doc comes in and does this

Or that um you know we all know what he what he brings you know we we heard his voice him coaching other teams you know he’s has success um he played in his League he played he went to school in this city uh he’s been around a long time as a coach

You know he’s coach a lot of great players so I think it’s um you would have a hard time thinking of something that he hasn’t experienced um in this league you know from playing to coaching um to talking about the game being on you know um all these different

Broadcast so uh it’s nothing that he hasn’t experienced and I just think his voice um you know how he’s able to to motivate teams you know he’s a a strong a strong voice and you know he’s going to demand more from our team um you know

He’s not going to be afraid to challenge myself he’s not going to be able to challenge Giannis he’s not going to be afraid to challenge Brooke and Chris and you know all the way down the line so um I think when you’re dealing with a team

That’s full of vets and as talented as we are uh I think that’s something that that you need if you want to reach reach the level that we want to reach and I think he’s the perfect person for IT he’s taking over as you go on five game

Trip I mean kind of all being out there on your own is it kind of a good timing bad timing to have go to have this new situation while you’re out in the road for a while or I think the present is the the best time you know I don’t think

It’s um a situation where you want to just hold off or anything like that you know let’s jump in and and get the ball rolling you know he’s been around this week um he hasn’t coached yet but he’s been around just kind of seeing how things go getting to know the team a

Little bit better and um you know let’s let’s get the ball rolling you know this is the situation might be new to us but playing the game isn’t new to us and coaching is not new to him and you know we’ll we’ll work together and you know

We’ll slowly get connected and you know try to get on the right track one thing that he mentioned this morning was the fact that you know he’s been in situations where there’s no expectations and he far prefers the spots where you do have expectations what does it mean

To have a coach that wants those expectations and and wants to try to go out and get a Championship uh I think he wants it cuz he’s experienced it and had success you know I think his most success as a coach was in a situation where there was um extreme expectations

In Boston you know you getting Kevin Garnett you know who was a MVP in Minnesota you got Paul Pierce who was one of the best players in the league for a long time you get Ray Allen coming in there you got Rondo one of the best

Point guards in the league and then you know you throw Doc in there and it’s like you got some expectations they expected to win um you in that type of Market where the you know the people in the city really care similar to here they want to win you know they’re it’s

They’re demanding it and um you know I think because of his experience um not just the high moments but the low moments you know being criticized people jumping on you for not succeeding um you know he’s felt it and I think anytime you experience that in

That way on both sides um you know how rewarding it can be you know when you come out on top and I think looking at our team he feels like we have a chance to do that so you want a guy who’s had that type of experience to to be leading

Your team in this type of situation how are you holding up I’m sure when you came here you didn’t have this on your bingo card a new coaching change and and I you know you get extra phone calls you get now you’re going on the road you’re

Going to have to figure out extra time to get work in on the road that can really rally a team but how have you been holding up with this craziness um I mean I think I’m doing fine uh I think one of my well not one

Of I think my greatest strength is being able to uh function in commotion and respond to adversity and not be discouraged and you know uh I guess fold when things aren’t going well or things aren’t going smooth or I’m being criticized or the team is being criticized I think that’s

Why it’s I recognize everything that’s happening and what’s being said and everything but I’m not moved by a left or right because I think I’m just that’s one of my greatest strength is to just to be solid you know regardless of which way it’s going cuz I know eventually The

Tide is going to turn you know for our team and for me as an individual so as it’s all happening I’m kind of seeing it happen I’m recognizing it all um and I just continue to do what I’ve always done and I’ve I’ve always gotten results

From just being true to it and being solid and I think it it’ll be the same this time around how do you feel about Doc’s first game being against the nuggets on the road and what do you want your team’s mentality and approach to be against the defending champs uh I think

The last couple games that we’ve played you know we’ve just had good energy um I think our team recognizes everything that’s happening around us and we’ve just kind of come closer and just focused even more in on on games and I think once we get to Denver it’ll be

Similar you know we just got to uh stay connected and stay on the same path that we’ve been on the last couple games um even with a loss against Cleveland last night I think we’ve just had a good spirit about us you know on the floor I

Think we’ve just kind of um started to March together more because of what’s happening around us and I think it’ll be the same in Denver except you know doc will be on the bench and we got to you know rally around him as well you know it’s a playing against a defending

Champions starting off a road trip um but I think in a way it could be a positive thing you know it could it could uh pump some life into us and you know be the start of something special so I think that’s how we got to look at

It uh off topic but all the scoring has been going on everybody’s putting up 70 points I feel like this week just kind of what’s your thoughts on it what what have you made of all the high-scoring games suround the NBA so Far like what no um I think it just speaks to the talent you know around the league now guys just just filling it up um that’s just what it is uh you know I think you got guys who can shoot guys drawing fouls um you know you play a lot of

Minutes you get a lot of opportunity and you got the ability to score on three levels um it’s possible and I think you know you just seeing guys just getting hot filling it up um I don’t see I don’t see people just continue to do it over

And over and over I think it’s always a stretch every year where guys get hot and you see some explosive nights um I think because it’s happened in the last couple like probably in the last week it’s been so many of them it feels crazy but um you know I think that’s that’s

Pretty normal not 70 but 70 is crazy we had it’s been three Joel with me no just two two 60 point Games I’ve been there been there man it’s a crazy Feeling
