@Boston Celtics

Im the furthest thing from a doomer as I 100% percent believe in this team, but this does slightly concern me.

Thoughts?

I’m not a doomer too. This season has been fun but I still cannot convince myself that we are a championship team. Won’t be surprised if our first-round series go 7 games.

  2. beywill19

It just means that the top teams can beat the Celtics. This team isn’t without its flaws.

  3. DarkJoe272

Guys…these are the top teams in the NBA. You’re “supposed” to lose to them. If 6/11 of our losses are to the top 7 teams in the league then we’re in a very good place

  4. Tatum-Better

Can’t go undefeated. And I’d rather lose to top teams than bottom feeders. Its a 7 game series format for a reason

  5. thetruth0102

Wow these games will matter in april to june OMG

    /s

  6. General_Tsos_Burrito

My thoughts are top 7 is totally arbitrary. If you said top 8 then we’d be 8-6. Top 9 then 10-6. Top 10 then 11-6.

  7. Billybaja

A lot of copium in these comments. They have not been good vs the elite teams lately. Pure and simple.

  8. AldiQuarter

Do you expect us to win 16 straight in the playoffs? You guys are so predictable lol

  9. totalmayo

Unless I’m mistaken, the Nuggets are just 5-5 against these same teams. Obviously they’ve won a title, but regular season wins at this point aren’t indicative of much.

So u saying good teams are good? What a surprise

We’ve had a tough schedule in the first half of the season. I think that’s part of it. Almost every one of these losses were on the road during tough weeks. SOS is a real thing. These teams also want to prove themselves too so they will show up to play us. Getting beat by bad teams is much more frustrating because it shows we don’t have a winning mentality. I think these games had some poor shooting nights mixed in with some fatigue and some bad refereeing. Sometimes we don’t play our best. It’s a long season.

  12. TheRealestMarco

How is this bad? What’s the record of the other top 6 against each other? It would only be concerning if the Cs where the only top 7 team with bad record against the others.

  13. This is when the sub loses their minds. Good teams beat other good teams. It’s going to be ok

  14. The_Dok33

It’s a tactic, so those teams don’t get data on how to best us. We let them win.

  15. HueyLewisFan1

It’s almost like, when you play a really really good team that shooting 70 three pointers isn’t a solid fuckin strategy 😂 #MazzulaBall tho!!

  16. pokexchespin

the only 2 teams we’re below .500 against there, we’ve played one game against. i’m not concerned

  17. aja_ramirez

Um, 5-6 is pretty good given the winning percentage of those teams do you think?

  18. Just seemed like a really bad shooting night. Like the Milwaukee game it was clear it wasn’t there tonight. Still believe Cs win out in a seven game series.

For some reason people are so hyperfocused about our regular season record. Being the #1 seed is no guarantee of winning a championship, and I hope for everyone that this is what it’s about.

It’s crazy how people pretend like we’ve already won something. We’re 2.5 games ahead of the rest of the league… That’s not miraculously better to the point where we should stand pat and not try and improve this roster in any way.

Many will say that well we didn’t have Porzingis… well, newsflash for everyone Porzingis PROBABLY won’t play every playoff game. We need to be able to beat top teams without him.

What is more worrisome is that Brown is really struggling against top teams and has played poorly in the majority of our losses.

  20. CPTKAK321

The record is one thing, but let’s look at the point margins of these games.

Minnesota loss in OT & very close throughout.

    Milwaukee was a scheduled loss.

Nuggets was one point game & Murray played insane.

Other two are just good teams playing well & us not. Which happens.

  21. AbbreviationsMotor60

I’m less concerned about this one because their best player didn’t play.

  22. UnPostoAlSole

Because they are absolute trash in the clutch. Joe’s stare is revealing. Tatum throws up a trash shot.

And it is time to discuss

  23. SubstantialCreme7748

    yes……the playoffs will be challenging

btw, what are those other teams against the same group?

  24. CoffinFlop

What’s everyone else’s record against these teams?

  25. hotChihuahua69

Wait until the playoffs when those “questionable” teams start to push and dig deep…

    They’ll be a few game 7 series that shouldn’t have been…

  26. JokeTime4592

The only team I’m concerned about are the Bucks.

  27. Eisenhorn76

Where are the Florida teams? Oh that’s right, it doesn’t fit the narrative… that shared picture is total rubbish.

    BLOCKED

  28. BeCaneChuHuss

    >giving 24celts attention instead of shoving cyanide pills down the account owner’s throat

    y tho

  29. somethingsimple1290

That’s why playoffs are seven game series

  30. RiPFrozone

Good teams splitting a season series is cause for concern?

A 76% win percentage is cause for concern?

    Be fr

  31. WinterEngineering322

Nope you’re automatically a doomer for holding this team to a high championship standard. How dare you

  32. HustlinInTheHall

The reality will shake out in the playoffs. Sweep the bad teams if you can, win in 6 vs the average ones, any series vs a top team is going 7 so try to get the 1 seed. If it were a one off knockout game I’d be worried, but we should be sharpened up a lot between now and June.

  33. Unusual-Computer5714

This just confirms that the league has more parity than it’s ever had before. There’s an argument to be made that up to 10 teams could win it all.
In the east there’s us, bucks, sixers, heat and knicks (yes knicks is a stretch but their defence is legit with og). West i would say nugs, wolves, thunder (assuming they add a piece) and clippers and suns (both assuming health).
A stark difference from the warriors cavs duopoly we had in the second half of the twenty tens.
Whilst it’s nice to be favourites we aren’t that much better than the other teams if at all.
Will make it even sweeter when we hang banner 18!

  34. Drawing_The_Line

Awful to admit, but it’s so predictable at this point that I’ve been able to make money off it. Pretty decent chunk too. Ugh.

  35. Stunning-Proof-363

This is why they play 7 games in the playoffs.

  36. truthpooper

Regular season barely matters, ask the Heat.
