James Worthy reacts LeBron makes history with 36 Pts, 20 Reb, 12 Ast as Lakers def Warriors 145-144

Hello and welcome to access sportset Lakers Dre by Southern California haunted dealers Chris McGee Robert Ory Mike Breen head trell’s uh up in Northern California game was drunk yeah bottom line uh Lakers start off the road trip the Grammy road trip with a victory 145 to 144 in double overtime I’m sure

Big game James is in Dubai doing the worthy clap at some point but um yeah go ahead Rob go ahead Rob you’re sitting in that seat there it is there it is there it is um a 120 run in the final four minutes of Regulation Lakers were down

Nine gave them a chance to win Steph gets that layup to tie Lakers don’t get his shot off go to OT back and forth Lakers have a chance to win they’re up three clay hits the big shot LeBron then misses one go to the second OT Lakers up

By four Warriors go on a 9 to1 run DLo pulls up and hits a three to take the lead Steph then takes a three to take back the lead and and LeBron wins it with two free throws rob you know it’s it’s did I get most of

That that was a really good that was good that was very good but you know the thing about this is it was if you watch this game the Lakers competed they competed from top to bottom when you were play in the Golden State Wars they start hitting those threes you can

Sometimes hang your head but you look at the way vend was out there hustle you know ad coming back you know even though DLo had a couple of turnovers down the stretch they all play hard and when you play in a Splash Brothers you never know what

Can happen so I’m excited for this game this is a great way to start the Grammy road trip because you need something in some inspiration like this to goe pres he said competed guys were laying on the floor after possessions and after the first overtime everybody was giving it

Everything they had I I don’t remember a game that went from such despair with ad slowly limping off the court the third quarter all of a is back in the game yeah and and the Lakers are in business again and then just so many individual efforts so much uh let’s call it

Retribution within the game because DLo had a couple bad possessions and that last OT what does he do drains a three to kind of get his way out of his own dogghouse LeBron all over the court one of the best games you’ll ever see really for any player especially at his age

Yeah this guy’s 39 G he’s hanging around here winning games getting 30 20 and 10 type games if you’re if you’re the Lakers right now they needed their jolt this month okay we talked a lot in the pregame show they weren’t great at all these home games the last few weeks six

And five at home plus a loss at Utah so far this month this is something that can really pivot turn that season a little bit pressive uh you probably have this in your notes somewhere but you know what was pivotal that run the Lakers made with 80 in the locker room

Yes you forget about that cuz I think they was down nine or 11 and they cut it to two with 80 and the L so that’s the competitive nature that I’m talking about you need to compete dog is in the back you compete and you cut this lead

So that’s what I’m going to say competing that’s what I’m talking about that’s where the game could have got away the third quarter member they went on a 25 to5 run uh run the the Warriors they were up 14 then the Lakers actually responded uh went on a 140 run actually

Took a one-point lead so it was back and forth and there were moments where either team could have swung it uh in their Direction listen um I said it in the pregame show you have to really appreciate especially as these guys get on with their careers the Epic B whether

It’s KD and Lebron who missed 5 Years playing against each other Steph and LeBron have a history it involves so many Christmas days and NBA Finals Cavs Warriors and then playoff games with the Lakers and the warriors uh inseason games battle after battle playing games in the first year of the playing you

Have Lakers and Warriors but tonight you got two epic performances just to put another feather in the chap in the book of of these two going against each other you saw the respect they showed for each other LeBron is just the the second player since 1976 the last time a Laker player

Did this with 36 and 20 and over 10 assists was cap Kareem in 1976 do the math bre think it’s 58 years if it’s 4 my CR education do that for me unbelievable I mean 48 yeah sorry my bad I I messed it up even though I went to

North the har in the mid harbard the West sorry um yeah I mean the Lakers has so many good individual efforts Vando all over the court in in the first half and into the second half then it became just you know you got to you got to win

The Battle of attrition which the Lakers did Steph made it so hard on them couple weird Laker possessions where ad was shooting Corner threes in the overtime sessions but in the end Rob it was just simple LeBron driving splitting Defenders getting to the cup getting get getting fouled and hitting two free thr

Steph had 22 at the end of three end up 46 sorry sorry I’m saying Steph had 22 after three ended up to 46 yeah wow that’s how deadly he is from three and he has the mind of a shooter and I I’m going to say this about the Golden State

Warri I really respect what what Steph did down the stretch everybody knows he’s a star of this game but you know what he deferred to his other Splash brother and took in overtime great scre yeah you had sometimes you got to be the decoy all the great players a great play

Out of B all the great players know hey come to me and then hit my second in command there were so many weird calls too I felt like in the end of regulation you were and they were going for both teams and inadvertent whistle and then

It was almost like just stay out of it like I listen Dre they they were talking about did Dre foul V on that screen rob you thought so but at the end of day I’m like who car just just don’t call anything went Draymond Club ad in the face but you

Know if you really go back at that call the refs made when he uh the whistle it was it favored the Golden State Warriors because we were in in position to get that possession of that but they get the tip when we didn’t even get set that’s

What you got to be set you got to understand as a vet team little moments like that you got to be ready at all times because those little things like that they come back to bite you by the way 38 of 43 from the free throw line the Lakers were

88% whoa tell me that’s not a big deal because by the way they were you know minus they were minus 36 from the free throw line I mean sorry from the three-point line so they had to make it up somewhere some about contagious you know we have we have a history of not

Making our free throws but tonight we made them if the Warriors complain about the free throw sparity they took 59 threes yeah you know exactly not exactly a great post presence on this franchise wonderful team when they’re hitting their threes I mean they blew the Lakers

Out of the water behind the ark which you know the Lakers have been a little bit accustomed to yeah but they the Warriors better not claim free throw disparity I’ll just both sides I think both sides would have been complaining in parts of that game that’s just the

Way it is that’s that’s the part of the beauty of the Rivalry and close games like this but I think if you can step back and and and and look at it it was an epic game I mean win or lose when I thought the Lakers were going to lose I

Was writing epic showdown I mean it was it was a it was a great game it was one you didn’t want to lose because you’re feeling like it was the last game that was ever going to be played in the history of basketball that’s the way it

Felt for a minute the way those guys were playing nobody wanted to leave the game nobody wanted to you know lose it was impressive you know as a basketball fan you love G G like this because you get double overtime you get to see the great player game think about

What Steph was able to do what LeBron was able to do ad you know Draymond Clay is a lot of stars you know that’s five Hall of Famers right there so you have to appreciate what you see on the court and what we have even though it was it

Com to see you Elizabeth moment but we had a good time watching it Rob you were dialed into that game you were animated during that game not not not to give too much behind the scenes but you didn’t mention that long drive one time usually we’re little complain a little

Bit we go to overtimes unless it’s the Lakers forcing overtime Rob’s been working hard all day remember he got here just in time for the pregame show after hit a lot of traffic on the freeway I mean you’ve had a good day Rob I’ve had I had a great day I hope Rob’s

Allowed to watch football tomorrow that’s what I hope after a Laker win like this hopefully there’s not a lot of Honey toos around there but putting can we talk about ad guys because um I’m not sure how that’s going to feel tomorrow yeah I I’m not sure what Monday’s going

To be like are they in Houston yeah yeah in Houston uh I we couldn’t figure out what happened at first thought he got need somewhere that yeah that that doesn’t feel good but then looked like he was on the side bre so I thought maybe we saw him coming back in maybe a

Charle horse but when you saw him walking in the hallway you thought okay he’s did he retweet it yeah they keep calling it hip spasm I’m I’m not sure what that that is either yeah and here’s the play he goes to the basket uh actually no I take a back it’s not the

Play um but on the play he uh there it is okay yep goes to the basket grabs uh below the equator there we’re wondering uh okay something really bad happened there we we’ve all been there before um and then you realize it’s worse there a Lakers trainers come out there and he

Stays in and makes the free throws impressive but the slow walk to the locker room I mean that’s that was worrying I I’m going to be honest I I I looked at the Laker schedule I said well they have nine games until the All-Star break yeah you know if he need some time

To if it’s something really bad like a strained he’s going to have some time to rest but it’s hard to press that panic button when you see him limping like that Rob I’m going to hold you off for a second let’s go back to San Francisco Jer Vander bills with Mike

Trell all right Jared Vander wow what a game let’s just start with the finish here LeBron James

  1. The bigger question is what is lakers going to do with D-Lo? I can’t imagine them trading him at this point! Yes and yes the guy is unpredictable and can be completely off at time but it’s going to be hard to imagine trading him

  2. Worthy's job is to praise and market leFlop at all times 24 hours a day or else he is out of the job. Just like espn and TnT. It's their religion and their god.

  3. Everyone let's stop hyping up the Lakers'wins. They haven't earned anything yet, The Los Angeles Clippers are destroying teams and are the best team in Los Angeles. Actually the Los Angeles Clippers are the best team in the western conference and the Lakers are sitting at 500 hundred. 500 is not a celebratory moment, Kobe Bryant would be appalled of this behavior because of the mediocrity. This is not Laker ball playing complacent and barely winning to relieve the pressure from being labeled a failure. Competitors like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant and Shaq wouldn't stand for it and would be embarrassed. Remember historical standards of the banners and what they stand for hanging in the rafters. I remembered when the Lakers used to be number one or in the top five in the standings not at 500. The Lakers are under achieving and people are celebrating that, I am astounded by this mediocrity behavior. The Lakers is a historic franchise that prides itself in excellence and the bar is set high to accomplish those types of goals. To see the Lakers year after year fail to a championship 🏆 falls short of Lakers expectations and this is unexceptionable. It's like a kid content making D's and C's in high school, knowing their potential is being minimized. If the bar wasn't set so high I guess mediocrity is the standard for the Lakers to reach year after year. The Lakers are 24 in offensive efficiency and rank 22nd in three point shooting is this what we're celebrating. The great Lakers franchise is sitting at 500 heading towards the All Star Break, I find that to be offensive. No one sees a second place winner or love losers and the Lakers aren't there yet, but were celebrating . Celebrating this prematurely is not a good look for the organization because it sends out the wrong message, mediocrity is ok.

  4. What ever happened to the competitive fervor that made championships 🏆 a winning achievement. Guys like the great Michael Jordan set the standard, have the NBA changed so much that the standards are lowered. During the Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Shaq era teams competed. Not no more complacency seems to be the benchmark in the Lakers organization. The Lakers need shooters and another super star like Donovan Mitchell alongside LeBron James. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 27.7 points a game scoring higher than any Laker players. Donovan Mitchell would move the needle and help the Lakers back into championship contention. The other trade acquisitions out there are complimentary pieces and won't help move the needle to be successful in winning a championship 🏆. Donovan Mitchell is the only player that will be available this off-season that would make the Lakers a contender again and he's a three point sniper.

  5. It took two OTs to decide the winner of the Lakers-Warriors battle. I can only say that LA fans should be very happy this holiday weekend.

  6. That what set apart great analysis like Michael Wilbon, Stephen A Smith, Brian Windhorst, Wojnarowski, Kendrick Perkins, Tim leger, Zack Lowe and Bobby Marks wouldn't be clapping at such foolishness 😅 and say's the Lakers are a horrible team as constructed. They're right from a professional standpoint and that's what separated them from the amateur NBA analysists. Like Stephen A Smith says this behavior is egregious😡

  7. Rob Pelinka should of never let go Dennis Schroder and Lonnie Walker IV go for Gabe Vincent that's why the Lakers are a rollercoaster team😢. I th🤔ught he was going to bring back the same roster going forward oh maybe that's why the Lakers are struggling in the standings😅. I love the Lakers but not this version of the organization, when they had Phil Jackson and Jerry West they put together a winning franchise. Now instead of the Lake Show we have the clown 🤡 show 😂. SMH 😒 that's what we're clapping to and that's a damn shame!

  8. I don't care how many records Mr. James breaks he will never ever be the GOAT. That spot will always and forever be held by Mr. Micheal Jeffrey Jordan 🐐

  9. Way to go refs these chumps are gonna need you to make the playoffs 38-43 to the Warriors 11-16😂😂😂 and still went 2 ot , Lakers are sorry
