Probably not but it will be fun watching them try. Adult teams win ships. Ant is too immature and Karl is too dumb. These are your star players. Having Rudy and Mike is huge just providing that playoff experience.

  2. I reject the premise, who the hell has championship *expectations* for the Wolves? It’s a fun year let’s just see where it goes.

The team I’m not sure but the fanbase certainly not

I thought this was a good read given it’s from ESPN- even though I generally like Windy. Highlights that this team doesn’t have chemistry issues like all the nephews want to claim- it’s really a lack of maturity compounded by expectations from a fanbase and franchise that isn’t used to experiencing this kind of success.

I’m convinced at this point the true KAT haters are not actual Wolves fans. The man has sacrificed a lot for this franchise relative to a lot of his peers, is having one of his best seasons, and isn’t causing problems for Ant’s development. The other big issue is that the KAT and Ant two man game is virtually non-existent given its potential, and it’s sucks to think we may not get to see that relationship fully develop in this window if Lore/ARod don’t dig deep in their pockets.

Still hopeful since it’s a long season- it’s hard not to expect rough patches for a team learning to handle success at this time in the season for the first time in a franchises history

Turnovers and free throws will decide that. If you make little pencil lines on the wall where the studs are you are less likely to hit a stud with your fist.

Anthony Edwards and the Wolves can, KAT and the Wolves cannot.

A lot of the usual KAT “Woe is me/fake martyr bs.”

Of his 62-point loss: “It’s just right that it ended that way,” Towns said. “Sometimes I can do all this amazing work and not end up getting the credit for it.”

When he felt he should have gotten credit for outplaying Porzingis in 2017, even though they lost because of a late Carmelo Anthony bucket: “And it’s always kind of gone that way for me,” Towns said, pointing out that when he scored 60 to set the season high for points, it had lasted just one day. Kyrie Irving had 60 points the next night for the Brooklyn Nets.”

On the last 2 minute report showing he was fouled in the 62-point loss and should have been shooting free throws: “Yeah, but Joel [Embiid] [had 70 [points]](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39366170/philadelphia-76ers-star-joel-embiid-drops-70-spurs-win) so it wouldn’t have mattered.”

    He’ll just never get it.
