There’s a difference, what people are saying is not to over pay for pieces that don’t move the needle, what this is saying is the Steve balmer type mentality. Balmer wouldn’t care what level of luxury tax he has to pay if it means a roster he believes can win a chip. What people on the sub are preaching is more like, “ hey I don’t think we should trade 2 firsts and then give an underperforming player a max contract”
(refer tobi).
This would be akin to if milkal or Lauri were available you throw everything you have to get them and if necessary go into luxury tax with salary because of their value to the roster.
