It’s clear we need another ball handler, without Maxey and Melton it’s a disaster

Props to those who stuck around for the RICKY COUNCIL IV show to end the game (and scoot lol)

  2. ranchsauce13

Very depressing and another game tomorrow, we’ll probably drop back to 5th soon the way things are going.

  3. allianceofficer

If this team doesn’t make trades to get better around Joel, I’d completely understand Joel asking out this offseason tbh. Make the trades Morey. You have a generational player performing at an unprecedented level and a bunch of capital to fix what’s needed for this team to be a championship team.

  4. rexfloyd94

9 points from tobias harris lmao

fire up them trades! gonna need them because the knicks and cavs sure dont seem like they’re gonna let up

  5. PessimistSixersFan

Springer can’t dribble for shit seemingly and rather than move the ball he kept trying the same crap that didn’t work

This team has a serious three point shooting problem and it sucks that we’re absolutely terrible now without Embiid compared to last season

We’re short another 1-2 starter caliber players it feels like, or at least one very impactful ball handler and reliable 3P shooting at good volume

Edit: Also want to add that we are missing Maxey and Melton who contribute a lot on 3 pointers but even when they’re available it still feels like there’s a lack of it, and its even MORE evident there’s an issue when they’re both gone, we don’t have enough of it frankly

  6. MaxeytoEmbiid

That game was worse than any of the process games. Back then, at least you could say “What would MCW/Saric/Noel/Okafor, etc do”

This was watching a maddening slow pace of ISO ball, inability to hit the pass and just complete selfishness all the way around. They’re more than some backup PG away, they need the hierarchy restored so that ball movement comes back.

  7. If Ricky Council IV has a million fans, I am one of them. If Ricky Council IV has 5 fans, I am one of them. If Ricky Council IV has one fan, That one is me. If Ricky Council IV has no fans, I am no longer alive. If the world is against Ricky Council IV, I am against the world. Till my last breath, I’ll love Ricky Council IV.

let’s wipe this one from our memories. i just cheered up because i saw in doc’s post game presser he said “we had good results out of ATOs which is MY stuff, but i’d like the guys to be better at running the offense in the moment.” lmfao this man will NEVER take accountability for anything. he’s too old to change who he is at this point. we are good on the bucks. the knicks and cavs lowkey scare me more

  9. PessimistSixersFan

This game was Portlands biggest win this season btw

  10. howd_he_get_here

Tobias hellbent on being the 4th best sixer on the court, regardless of how many starters are out on a particular night

  11. jeppsforst

Doc Rivers blew a 13 point lead in his first game as coach lmao.

Just checked the play by play, they were up 26-13 in the 1st and he allowed a 12-0 Denver run to close the quarter without a timeout 😂

  12. Thegrandmistressofoz

[I’ve been saying this](https://new.reddit.com/r/sixers/comments/190hsxk/comment/kgogsig/) but this team is the worst equipped to win. Easier if I just paste what I said before lol coz not much is different:

    >I’ve said this before the season even started, but this team is the worst equipped we’ve been for when Embiid misses games in a long time. Last year harden won us a ton of games himself when Joel was out, and before that we stayed even ish without Joel but with Ben
    >
    >It’s not a coincidence Tyrese has woeful games when Joel’s injured before going back to borderline All NBA numbers with him playing. The rest of our team is just straight role players, and can’t be relied to do anything. I know Tobi was out today, but usually he doesn’t show up in these situations so I don’t even know if we’re missing much

Unfortunately it’s even worse now than it was then lol, now we’re out Maxey AND Melton, and we’ve been missing Tobi, Roco and Morris for multiple games this month too.

This pretty clearly isn’t the worst team Embiid’s had around him, 2019-20 was a complete dysfunction, 2017-18 was worse too and the first half of 2021-22 had less talent as well. The problem is all three of those teams were much better equipped for when Joel had to miss games. Right now, when he’s out it’s 5 role players trying to run an offense with no real threat to score

  13. TheRealDevDev

blazer fan here. please trade for brogdon. through sheer force of will that man is gonna drag us into the play-in if we don’t get rid of him.

  14. Yellowperil123

LOL. I legit had to stop watching at half time cos I was at work.

Did these bumasses really only score 8pts in the 4th Q?

  15. denny_crane68

Yikes. We’re in trouble. 40 before 20 is totally off the board now.

  16. Reasonable-Cookie783

Its not surprising at all It was bizarre the Sixers were favored in this game. Probably another loss coming tommorrow.
