Toronto Raptors Mock Trades!

Toronto Raptors Mock Trades!

What’s up basketball fans welcome to the V report it’s time to talk about mock trades the way the Raptors have been making trades this season do not be surprised if they make some trades a few days before the NBA trade deadline we’ve got a week or so to go to the NBA trade

Deadline and I’m going to be going through a list of Trades I’ve come up with and I’m going to be going through some of the reasons as to why the Raptors may want to do these trades so if you’re ready to watch this video make

Sure to give it a thumbs up and if you wish to hit the Subscribe button as well that would be very much appreciated so with that being said let’s get into today’s video now as you guys know I do like to give out shout outs on my

Channel and the shout out for today’s video goes out to Todd Stevens so Todd thank you so much for supporting this channel your likes and comments it is very much appreciated now let’s go through some of the trades have come up and the trade number one here may

Surprise a lot of people it is the Lakers and the Raptors the Raptors send back the former Laker Dennis schrudder to the Lakers because they need a backup point guard regardless of you know obviously D’Angelo Russell was playing really well but it seems like they don’t

Have a ball handler and Dennis has been playing really well Off the Bench now the Lakers do this of course because we know their their window to win a championship isn’t very big LeBron’s ending or at least at least we see this every season he’s nearing the end of his

Um his uh career and the Raptors are Nur for giving up Dennis they received torine Prince and jillen Hino now let’s go to torine Prince and jillen hood and why the Raptors would want to do this trade I’m going to start off with jillen hood chafino this was a player I looked

Into prior to the draft and I believe there’s some rumor to be you know that was um a rumor that the Raptors have some level of interest in gyen Hood obviously we know they did not draft him because they draft a gry dick but in terms of jayen hood chafino this could

Be a very nice player for the Raptors to acquire they you know went in this year’s past draft class he’s list 65 215 pounds he’s about 20 years old and he’s been having himself a really good season down in the g- league averaging 19 points shooting 45.2% from the

Three-point excuse me from the field on 13.3 attempts per game also shooting the three-point ball at a pretty good rate of 43.8% although it is limited three-point attempts on 4.6 attempts but that is still a really good thing to see in young players and also you know what

He’s doing some other things as well he’s getting assists he’s turning turning the ball over quite a bit that is naturally going to happen for a lot of young guards he’s he’s listed as a guard he can play I feel like both positions and the Raptors could definitely use someone like this because

The team I like to look at when we talk about guards that could be good Defenders is when you think of jillen sucks I’m not comparing the two players but the Raptor do value high IQ basketball players and I feel like jillen could be that for the

Chon Raptors he could play the shooting guard position even the point guard position position at the backup position wherever they see him in the future and he has good size you know 65 is a great size to have at the guard position and you can play him in both positions for

That reason again he’s a very smart player that makes the right plays he’s not an explosive explosive athlete but you know he’s going to play the game the right way that’s all you can really ask for for the Raptor’s point of view let’s talk about torine Prince here real quick

Before we move on to trade number two now Tran Prince as many of you guys know he’s been in the NBA for quite some time he’s going to be 30 in March now why I do the Raptors acquire him he’s a very reasonable contract expiring contract but look at what he’s done throughout

His career in the NBA shot well really well from the three-point line and He’s listed as a power forward SL small for 66 218 pounds now if the Raptors do get this trade done well a few days before the NBA trade deadline you can kind of flip him to a contender he’s making

About four or so million dollars which is a very reasonable contract you can flip him for a second round play pick you can maybe flip him for someone that you like a little bit more and then you know he’s an expiring contract so what teams wouldn’t want him what playoff

Teams wouldn’t want him so I think he’s and if the Raptors look decide to bring him up bring him back excuse me if there’s no trade he’s a really good bench piece to have off the bench for the Raptors right they could use some defense he can play defense he’s got

Size he can play the four position at 66 218 pounds and as I’ve said he shot the three-point ball really well and that is something the Raptors desperately need but with that being said guys let’s move on to trade number two here now trade number two is between the Brooklyn Nets

And the Raptors now the Raptors do this because Gary Trent is an expiring contract he’s probably looking for a bigger Payday the Nets because they could use some three-point shooting always especially with Ben Simmons now back they come Mel Bridges there you need to surround them with three-point

Shooters and no I’m not saying Ben Simmons is the top player there but he’s a really good player that can drive and you need to surround him with Shooters and look he could be a very good player there right like if they Nots who said they apparently don’t want to sell they

Should definitely look for a young player like Gary Trent they can shoot lights off on the three-point line in terms of the Raptors they get Spencer dewy he is who he is look he’s he’s obviously voices concerned there’s been rumors he hasn’t been playing with the Nets very well he doesn’t like being

There you get him out he’s an expiring contract in same situation if you’re able to flip him great if you’re not you keep him and just let him go in free agency but the point of this trade here is Dron sharp let’s talk about him he’s

Let’s say a 67 or excuse me 611 not 67 um 611 he’s a center but also when you look at his stats here and you know what he’s capable of doing he’s 611 265 pounds gives the Raptors a really big strong big man and you look at some of

His statistics in very limited minutes this season 16 minutes in fact he’s shooting the ball pretty good from the field overall 57.5% his three-point shot isn’t there but you know what there’s always room to improve he’s only 22 years old and you see that he’s averaging 7.5 points seven

Rebounds a game 1.4 assists he’s not a I I can’t say he’s a great rim protector just based off of Statistics 0.9 blocks a game but he’s young enough to the point where the Raptors could get a big man in their system especially given what’s going on with Christian Koka and

His blood clot blood clot and he’s no longer with the Raptors that you can have a center that’s been in the NBA for a few seasons we know these centers would like to take their time to develop and that is something that the Raptor Raptors can afford to do you know you

Got a young 22-year-old Center and he’s had some big games with the Nets as well so I think this is worth doing the trade of course you lose some three-point shooting in Gary Trent Jr but look it is what it is he’s expiring contract so you

Got to decide what you you do you get a nice young Center in your turn let’s move on to our next trade here and this involves the Utah Jazz and the Chon Raptors now this trade here is between two teams that have really valued ton Horton Tucker and Gary Trent Jr from

Opposing teams you know the Jazz asked for Gary Trent Jr when they were looking to trade Rudy goar and there’s a lot of rumors that the Tron Raptors wanted him and the reported asking price was Gary Trent Jr noobi from the Jazz’s point of view and for the ton Raptors they have

Coveted tayen hor and tuer for quite some time they also get Simone fonio I might be mispronouncing his name but he’s a he’s a he could be a decent role player for the Raptors I’m not saying he’s a player that you definitely want or you know you’re intrigued by but well

Let’s talk about these Tayon H Tucker is a player that you know his career started great with the Lakers he was one of those players that was considered Untouchable and despite how many seasons he’s had in the NBA he’s still only 23 years old he’s listed as a shooting

Guardo guard he’s 64 234 pounds he’s got an enormous wingspan I believe of close to 69 610 I want to see I’m just staying in this on top of my head but he’s someone that’s a good Defender now he was actually considered Untouchable in the kyari trades if you recall that the

Lakers weren’t trust in kyari but they didn’t want to give up taylon Horton Tucker now his offense isn’t exactly been where a lot of fans may have hoped or even he could tell you that himself but he’s still a really good Defender and still young to the point where he’s

Still someone that can get much better now you look at the season he’s having with the Jazz 40% from the field isn’t great 32% asn’t great from the three-point line and free throw percentage is decent you know it’s respectable like 80% for guard but in terms of you know his point production

10.9 points 4.1 assists rebounds as well but I do want to see one thing regarding ton Hort Tucker he is playing with a lot of guards on that Utah Jazz team you got you know Jordan Clarkson there you’ve also got paen ston as well again he’s

Playing with a handful of guards I I think he’s capable of more and the Raptors clearly see something in then that a lot of people won’t so again I don’t think he’s ever going to be a 40% shooter like Gary Trent but he’s a smart Defender again much like the last few

Few trades he’s a very intelligent basketball player and he can make the right plays and if he’s in the right situation I absolutely think that he can Thrive with the chono Raptors again it’s one of those situations where a lot of people may be thinking that the last

Thing the Raptors need is guard play but he could be someone that could play the point guard position at the back while really really being a good Defender and we know the Raptors could use some defense as well now in terms of Simone fono he’s not exactly a rookie as you

See there he’s 28 years old he is from Italy he’s only in his second season in the NBA but he is someone that can shoot the three-point ball really well he’s also listed at 68 209 pounds so he can play the small forward position maybe at

Times you know given his maybe even the power forward position but as you see this season on 4.7 attempts per game he’s shooting 40% from the three-point line everything else is pretty good you know but what I like about him is that he’s improved in a lot of statistical

Categories here he went from shooting 36.9% last season with the Jazz to 45.6% this season and also the you know like Point production as well he’s scoring nine points as opposed to 6.3 points last season as well so it’s not like he’s he doesn’t Excel besides three-point shooting in any particular

Area but he’s going to be one of those players that can play in different positions you can ask him to come in hit some three-point shots and he could put up some he can put up some decent you know Point production Off the Bench as well he could be a decent bench player

For you kind of similar to if you guys recall how Carlos Delino was way back for the johon Raptors and you know what I think again it’s one of those cases where I’m not saying he’s going to be a six-man Off the Bench but you never know

You know he’s got He’s got potential to be a really good role player as long as he can hit his three-point shots and put the ball in the basket that’s all the Raptors really need now let’s move on to our next trade here now this trade isn’t

The sexy so I’m going to be very straightforward with you guys it’s between the Raptors and the Mavericks the Raptors get Grant Williams and Dwight pal the Mavericks get Chris Bush in Auto Porter Jr why do the Mavericks do this they need some three-point shooting and they get that in Auto

Porter Jr despite his injuries and Chris buer as well they also do this because they get off of Grant Williams’s large contract they gave him this season and then there’s D pal as well who’s locked in for another three seasons and this the Raptors do this for this reason look

There’s not a lot of value for Chris Bushi on the market besides of course the Celtics being rumored Grant Williams is a good smart role player I think what the Raptors want to do is surround Scotty and some of the younger guys with also good veterans but also really smart

Basketball players Grant Williams is also a good Defender as well he’s listed at 66 but he’s one of those players that um Can guard the small forward position and the power forward position he’s a very strong player now in terms of dght pal he’s one of those players that could

Be your third Center he’s never going to complain he’s got a good attitude and he’s also Canadian and no I’m not saying the reason the Raptors are having him in this deal is because he’s Canadian but he’s also very mobile big as well so again he could provide some decent

Minutes off the bench as well as a 610 Center he doesn’t shoot the three-point ball well but look with Grant Williams I will say this before we move on to our next trade here it is one of those things that he is a good role player and

There will always be a market for him so ultimately the Raptors do get a good role player despite you know what the money he may be making long term but you can always flip him in the future for different assets depending on what you’re looking for as well so I think

It’s a very I wouldn’t call this a minor trade obviously the Raptors do take on some salary here but ultimately look you get Grant Williams is’s a good player and also as I’ve said you want to acquire players that you could potentially get some value for in future

Trades as well and I think the Raptors get that so let’s move on to our next trade here and this is I’m going to be very very honest with you this is probably the most unrealistic trade I have on this now a lot of people people

May not think so I think wend Carter Jr is finally finally coming back from injury but he’s also having some really good games for a magic team you know that could use a big man that can space the floor and he’s done just that although not on high attempts per game

And I’ll talk about his stats in just a moment but he’s someone that can space the floor you know he’s 610 Center and also then the Raptors get Gary Harris who’s an expiring contract and we know Gary Harris is one of those players that plays limited games can score for you a

Little bit can hit the three-point ball as well now the magic do this because they are a playoff team currently and they get some floor spacing in Auto Porter Jr and Gary Trent Jr and also I feel like with the players you have there you need some floor spacing and

Gary trenit is an excellent floor spacer for you there so although he’s an expiring contract I think the Raptors and the magic this is a good deal again the Raptors may have to throw in more maybe a second round pick in there to really entice the magic to get rid of

Wend Carter Jr because that’s one of the best contracts in the NBA now when we talk about wend Carter Jr let’s quickly take a look at his stats here 610 two 270 lbs he’s a very big Center despite you know not being seven foot there you see the season he’s having currently

With the magic again he’s played limited games because of injury shooting 52.9% from the field it’s also shooting the three-point ball really well on limited attempts but 2.7 attempts per game 43.4% from the three-point line and free throws it’s not great but it’s respectable for a big man you know in

Terms of rebounding he’s I feel like he’s a better rebounder than it’s currently shown obviously Paulo banero is there as well that’s probably the reason wise rebounds has gone down a little bit this season 6.6 rebounds 11 points per game he’s someone that can easily give you 13 15 points per game

And also give you a good amount of rebounds as well and he’s still very young he’s only 24 years old right so again I I really like this trade the likelihood do the magic really depart with you know someone like wend Carter Jr unlikely but we’ll see what happens

That’s probably my one of my few unrealistic trades here and I wouldn’t say that by a far stretch but let’s move on to our last trade here now the last trade here a lot of people may or may not like this the Raptors finally trade Bruce Brown I know I haven’t had Bruce

Brown in these trades I’ve looked at different teams and there isn’t a lot of teams that are willing to take on $22 million contract and also just making the money work besides the New York Knicks but why do the Clippers do this they get rid of PJ chucker who’s not

Happy with his minutes and they also get Norman get off of Norman Pal’s contract as well as give the Raptors a second round pick in 2030 now a lot of people may be looking at this and think it’s not a great return for the Raptors but

When you look at pich Tucker he is always going to be one of those players that’s a gritty Defender and any playoff team will use him so again if you can get a second round pick out of PJ Tucker and obviously Norman pal I know people

Are going to ask why would you want him on a rebounding team you ultimately need some glue guys on your roster that are veterans and he’s always going to be a great bench piece but also a great three-point shooter as well and they need some Rim um especially after losing

Obviously Pascal and OG they need someone that can attack the rim at the guard position Norman pal gives him that so again despite Norman being list at 63 played the small forward position for the Toronto Raptors and he’s going to be someone you definitely want to keep

Around now why do the Clippers do this a lot of people may ask well you get off of PG’s salary for one but you also get off of Norman pal salary as well I think Bruce Brown would actually really not to say Norman Pal doesn’t complement Paul

George James Harden or Kawhi Leonard but when you have those type of players and they get doubled you need someone that’s able to cut like Bruce Brown and Bruce Brown is a really really good role player as well but also taking into consideration the salary cap situation for the Clippers they’ve already paid

Norman excuse me they’ve already paid Kawhi Leonard they still have yet to sign Paul George and James Harden to a longer contract if they decide that they want to decline Bruce’s option maybe save a little bit of money there give some of that money to Paul George and

James Harden they can do that as well I know Steve balmer’s pockets are very very deep but again we’ve got to take into consideration the second apron tax as well which you know is concerned for a lot of teams so we’ll see what happens these are my trades guys there’s no

Trivia question for today I’m very curious to hear what you guys think let me know your thoughts in the comment section below let me know what your favorite trade is and your least favorite trade is from here so that will be it for today’s video if you do want

To shout out for next video guys you can just comment down below so let me know what your thoughts are on this video and that will be it so thank you so much for watching and I hope you guys have yourselves a great day

I will be going through a list of potential trades that the Raptors should make in this years trade deadline! The Raptors have a ton of players being linked to different teams in particular Bruce Brown whom they acquired in the Pascal Siakam Trade to the Indiana Pacers! They Also have some expiring contracts they can trade as well. I will be looking at different trades I have come up with and explain the reasoning behind it.

  1. The trade to bring back Norm, I would do that trade before the words of the offer comes out of their mouths 😀

  2. Raptors should negotiate for minimum contracts, if there unwilling to sign for minimum contracts we are better off letting them walk.
Who would you sign this free agency? Center jalen smith 60% 3 pts. Center nicolas claxton, shooting guard lonnie walker Iv 46% 3pts. sam hauser 44% 3 pts

  3. Good trade options shared. Quite detailed. The centre trades are good as havung 3 centres coulld be helpful

  4. Wow these trades all suck! GTJr is likely to get a reasonable multi year contract offer from the Raptors (something like 3 yrs $48 million I would guess). Bruce Brown for a 2nd round pick and two players way past their prime on a rebuilding team??? I'm hoping they can flip Brown for a 1st rounder or a decent younger prospect with upside. I'd love to see Quickley get resigned (4 yrs $90 million?), grab Saddiq Bey in free agency ($48 million for 3 yrs), and hopefully get Nwora back for maybe $12 million/ 3 yrs? The top 11 would then be…. Quickley, RJ, Barnes, Bey, Jakob, Trent Jr, Schroder, Dick, Boucher, Nwora, Porter and possibly three 1st Round picks in 2024 for compete for bench time.

  5. The Magic trade is the only one that makes sense although I think I rather have the 2025 1st rounder of Denver's that they own than Wendell Carter since Jontay is developing nicely. Might have to play around with the salaries.
