[Coolbaugh] Zion Williamson on playing in Boston: “This is a dope ass arena. Playing here and their fan base shows them a lot of love…Your basketball blood can’t help but come out.”

Dude was nearly unstoppable last night. He’s so much quicker than I imagined and just bodies everyone to get near the rim, then has soft hands to make tough shots. Tbh it was pretty impressive. Idk if it’s just been planted in my mind but it seems like he just ran out of gas.

We’re ride or die with our squads, if they are working, the fans are up and loud, I’m glad I am a fan in Boston.

I’d be so embarrassed if I was a fan elsewhere and I had to watch another teams’ fans come in to our building and cheer over our fans like we do in most arenas.

Team Jordan all gonna be in Boston in 5 years

    JT-Luka-Zion

    He’s the biggest “what if”

what if he’s healthy for a season, what if he loses weight, what if he expanded his shot range.

    Then again you got the

What if he gets injured again, what if he gains weight, what if he’s a one trick pony.

Zion confuses me soo much cause you see the games there but then he just looks sluggish and gasses easily.

zion signs with celtics and then gains perfect conditioning ——> banner #25

Boston sports talk radio would collectively have a stroke if he somehow ever ended up playing here.

Gotta say the Garden crowd brought the heat last night. Looked like it was bumping on TV for a random Jan game against NOLA. love that.

After his first step dude is like a canon ball being shot at the rim, pretty much unstoppable.

Stunned by some of the shots he and BI made last night, they’re like the beefy Celtics. Instead of 8 dudes who can cut you to death with three point sniping, they have 8 dudes who can burrow to the basket

Watching the game last Nighy, we were behind pretty much the entire first half, but the crowd was losing their shit in a good way every time we made a little 2-3 basket run. Like they were on their feet when someone hit a basic layup. I noticed it watching on TV lol.

I’ll only believe him coming here when Moriah Mills starts taking about it. Also also I’ll pass on that

I know this guy have trouble staying healthy, but still amazing if one day he come and play for the Celtics 😎

Has everything needed to be dominant and has shown it

Dude is gassed down the stretch of games and not making defensive rotations though. He needs to figure out how to control his weight/conditioning or find a way over the course of a game to have some reserves in the tank

It’s not impossible. With all of the time he’s missed, he’s still figuring out the pace of a game at a high level. Doing that against the Celtics is a large hurdle
