Damn media really bullied Embiid to play injured

  2. Aquatic_Ambiance_9

not good! But maybe a silver lining, *if* the injury isn’t too serious, Embiid is at least definitely out for a bit and can get some much needed rest. Fault lies with the whole org for letting him play, but you’ve gotta think this was his insistence as well. Get some rest big guy, it doesn’t matter if we go in as the fucking 8 seed so long everyone’s healthy.

  3. 177676ers

That game felt rigged tbh. Getting called for 2 moving screens against the WARRIORS of all teams is such bullshit.

Also rest Embiid until the allstar break. He looks so hurt.

  4. broke-collegekid

Fuck Kuminga for that reckless bullshit he just pulled. Completely unnecessary too

  5. cantwifeahoe

Trade for Murray/lavine and we might have home court in the play in

  6. Nick nurse should be fired, dude is not that good of a coach, idiotic fucking decision. These coaches and players get dumber when they get to Philly huh. Every single sport

We now have to deal with sexless Celtics, nuggets fans, etc coming to this sub to taunt embiids injury

Also morey should be fired for sitting on his fucking ass all day and not making a trade.

  7. ranchsauce13

Well this is horrible, just rest Embiid as long as he needs. I couldnā€™t care less how far we drop back, we need him as healthy as possible

  8. justwantkickz

Man golden state sucks. I donā€™t even think this game would be close if we had melton, maxey, Batum, ROCO, and embiid (healthy)

  9. Skywalkerkid9

Are we gonna win another game until the all star break?

  10. This one is on the staff. Never should have been out there after the first quarter.

  11. PessimistSixersFan

Im fucking gutted guys, I hope heā€™ll be alright after that fall on to his leg šŸ™

I kept being downvoted for calling it how it is, Nurse is a terrorist

This team lives and dies by Embiid, heā€™s the most important person in the entire organization, not Josh Harris or any other person, its Embiid

Protect him at all costs even if it means going against his desire to play on a cooked knee and he holds a grudge (which I doubt he would)

  12. Thegrandmistressofoz

Well that sucks. Joel is probably gonna be out for another few games, Tyrese somehow is out for a week, Melton and Roco are already confirmed to be out for a few more games and Marcus Morris is injured too. Batum is also missing games lol

I mean I don’t know any other team outside like Memphis whose been more snake bitten this season

  13. Loose_Mix_447

No talk of the injury yet in postgame just suck off the warriors instead

  14. superduperlooperbab

Can I just say that the ā€œduckingā€ saga over the last week has been one of the dumbest and most disgusting things Iā€™ve ever seen by the NBA media?

Why were we pretending that no player has ever gotten injured in warmups? Why were ā€œrespectedā€ media members so insistent on scolding Embiid without knowing the full details? WHY WOULD HE DUCK A TEAM HE JUST DROPPED 48 POINTS ON A WEEK AGO?????

I still canā€™t fucking wrap my head around the absolute stupidity.

  15. The last month of basketball has been awful. It’s hard to even watch a lot of these games. The injuries are too much.

  16. High2low2003

Kuminga made a dirty play. Put all his weight on Embiidā€™s leg when the game was already out of reach.

  17. justwantkickz

Everybody needs to calm their tits.

    #Our starting lineup is injured.

Wtf did you think was going to happen? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

  18. Ivory_Toast_

    s/o to Kork and Springer

and wtf was Kuminga doing – doing a leg drop on a guy whoā€™s already on the ground

  19. Dry_Explanation_3724

embiid cant stay healthy for 5 games in a row. he will limp into the playoffs again and this team is an easy out in the second round

  20. GOAT_SAMMY_DALEMBERT

I guess weā€™re gonna get to watch every Philly sports franchise collapse this year, awesome

  21. bravof1ve

Fire everyone involved if this winds up being serious.

Complete oversight at every level of the organization

  22. Embarrassed-Track-21

I was right for all the wrong reasons about coaching changes not mattering much in the NBA.

  23. Might as well drop to the 6th seed so we can avoid that 4/5 matchup and then Boston in the second round lol. Maybe Iā€™m looking too far ahead cause I donā€™t know if weā€™d be favored against New York or Cleveland anyway.

  24. Weā€™re complete morons. Top to bottom all around. Joel playing the amount he did when curry was hitting fuck you 3s at 60+%.

All of the offense running through Joel and continuing to do it when it was failing. Joel diving for loose balls.

I know theyā€™ve been playing like dogshit but you can take a downturn. Especially on the road at GSW.

Felt like I was watching last years team, insane. Fuck the refs too tho. Absolute dogshit.

  25. autostart17

What is Embiidā€™s diagnosis? Is it something like bursitis in the knee?

  26. Kumiga or whatever the fuck his name is is a coward for intentionally landing on embiids knee too. Garbage player

  27. GirlWithGame

I hate the warriors, outside of Steph and Saric they have no likeable people, Green is the scummiest player in basketball and he seems ti have infected that team.

On a different note Springer had a great game, that was the only joy I got out of this game.Ā

  28. DELCO-PHILLY-BOY

Not to beat a dead horse but I will die on the hill that the decisions this league has made to disincentivize high profile players from resting is a fucking joke. You want a 7 foot 300 pound man to overexert himself and risk being plagued by further injury or, God forbid, a serious injury that puts his career in jeopardy.

Itā€™s a band-aid fix to a problem that the league refuses to address head on – a slog of a regular season that doesnā€™t create enough stakes on its own to be interesting without relying on the oft elite individual performance from marketable players.

  29. lordlightskin67

With the Tobias contract expiring is Daryl Moreys contract now the worst?

  30. This is Morey’s fault. He’s the GM. It’s his job to protect his players even from themselves.

  31. clickstops

No Maxey, Melton, Batum, Morris, RoCo. These are all high impact players for us.

Embiid pretty sincerely hurt. Reed was unquestionably better than him tonight.

Tough couple of weeks past and probably a tough couple weeks ahead. Hope it all mends over the next month and this is all behind us! I am hopeful.

  32. EndAnyone

Where was the leadership from Nurse here? The medical staff clearing him was a mistake. Nurse should have recognized that and pulled him.
