[Rubin] Draymond Green said he’s been in Jonathan Kuminga’s ear telling him “no one can stop you.” “One thing we talked about is we had older guys would ride our legs for years, and because we were younger we were able to handle that. So now it’s his time, he’s gonna carry us.”

Kawhi vision for the Spurs dynasty
Andrew Bogut, Jarrett Jack, David Lee and Richard Jefferson come to mind on who I think he might be talking about here.
Man so refreshing to see Draymond say this and admit to it.
Core 3 needs help from the young ones. I think there was a weird dynamic between them before where the older core was trying to lead them to victory on their own but it was failing and it became evident they desperately needed young ones to help.
They just didn’t mesh well together and there was no chemistry. Now they’re gelling together and it’s showing synergy at both ends of the court.
Draymond does stuff like this that’s so underrated for the team.
Dray may no longer have the same speed and athleticism to defend the same way in years past but having his iq making the most of JK and Wiggins is 🔑in giving this team team new life. Same with Curry on the offensive side. Steph and Dray are adjusting. My hope is Klay can do the same by soon moving to the bench and further developing that two man game with TJD.
