Idk NBA my L2M report says this was a CC by Anthony Edwards. The sleep lost by the refs is deemed marginal and the hurt feeling do not hinder their ability to suck.
Every league has bad refs, and it’s been this way as long as all of us remember. It always seems like an impossible job that needs replaced by technology. So I can’t say Ant is onto something about “cheating ass refs”.
What needs to happen in every pro sport that has replay is that the owners need to pony up and pay for a TEAM of centralized video review professionals. These guys/gals should be staffed 1 per game, work in an office away from the arena, and they should be watching every play live and in replay so that:
A) you have refs not policing themselves which never works. They always lean towards them being right during replay reviews
B) it speeds up the replay process so you could allow more challenges and still shave off minutes. They should know the answer before the replay is even flagged.
C) they can be in communication with the officials during games to let them know they’re being dickheads
This is expensive but it changes everything. Football and hockey need it too. Baseball just needs to switch to robo umps.
I still find it absurd that the NBA is allowed to fine players for speaking their minds. Ant didn’t curse when talking about the refs. Either way his lawyer gon handle it

The fact that players and coaches are being fined for reffing being worse than ever is absurd. If I suck at my job, I get in trouble. They have zero accountability.
