Aka Toronto does not like the offers

  2. WorldTwisting

Not a surprise. Wait until next week when the pressure ramps up

  3. Bobby_Webster

no incentive to do it early. why would they rush?

edit: although remember when Woj said this about Siakam & OG then OG got traded within days lmao

  4. Woj said that we hadn’t even made a decision on trading Siakam or OG and then 36 hours later OG was traded

  5. Well no shit lol, we’re still about 8 days out, the offers now won’t be a teams best. I’d still put good money on BB being on another team post deadline

  6. I doubt he’ll stay, but even if he does they can always pickup the somewhat overpriced ~~player~~ team option and do the same song and dance next trade deadline. Not a bad situation to be in.

My current ideal and somewhat realistic scenario now that it’s been reported by multiple reporters Herb is not available:

    Trade 1: Brown to NYK

TOR get: Fournier, 2024 NYK/DAL FRP, 2024/2025 SRP

    NYK get: Brown

Trade 2: Deni Avdija to TOR

    TOR gets: Avdija

WAS gets: Otto, 2024 NYK/DAL FRP, 2024/2025 SRP, possibly the 2024 OKC FRP we have

I think Deni is a stellar fit with the starting lineup and is under contract on a great deal. Would love to parlay the assets we get for Brown into trying to land Deni.

  8. Moving Bruce Brown always felt like a move best reserved for the deadline. Let teams who need to fill up their roster get a little more desperate.

I’m okay with this. Even if he isn’t traded he’s still an extremely valuable addition to the roster for as long as he’s here.

The first shoe to drop is dejounte murray

Honestly, waiting until the day of the deadline is Toronto’s best move. Teams that want him may up their offer the closer it gets. Raps have nothing to lose. If they don’t like any of the offers, they can go with the best one available, or Just keep him, and trade him in the off-season.

  12. ZoroChopper10

You don’t trade role players until day of trade deadline

    Teams lowball until the deadline

  13. passiveparrot

probably gonna get 2 2nd rounders and a salary match expiring

  14. TurnoverIllusion

Is we know anything about Masai, he is patient.

  15. TylerScottBall

This just means that they will have their choice of suitors, not that they aren’t planning to trade him. No rush until the deadline.

  16. RealCanadianDragon

Raptors are definitely doing a deal in the middle of the NHL all star weekend aren’t they?

  17. fivehoops

Why can’t we just keep him? He seems like such a smart solid player.

  18. Big_Albatross_3050

He’s not wrong though, the TDL is ages away in terms of sports time. a lot can change in the span of a week

  19. TurnoverIllusion

We are in a great position with Brown.

    1. He fits here. Versatile on the court and seems like a good vet to develop the young guys.
    2. We can trade him now, or at the draft.
    3. We can extend him with the team option and trade him next year around the deadline.

    Well done FO.

  20. Hes under team control for next year and we’ve all seen Masai act under these circumstances.

Either pay up or don’t bother calling lol.

  21. Brown is a great pickup for any title contending team. He for sure gets traded, he fits really well on any roster, someone will want him.

  22. FurtherUpheaval

Trade him, give his 37 minutes to the development process of the bench players.

  23. attainwealthswiftly

He helped up win against the bulls. I think he can be a useful player. But if we get an offer we can’t refuse and a young player and draft assets I wouldn’t mind moving him.

  24. GeriatricSFX

There really is no rush in trading Brown. Waiting for the right offer is the best course of action. No need to take any low ball offers, he has another year after this on team friendly salary and he would still be good for the team to have till the summer if they don’t get the right deal. This is not the same as the Pascal, OG, FVV, Lowry situations.

  25. Icy-Lime-9760

Woj always say this in the twitter question and answers.

  26. demarderollins

Will be the longest 8 days for raptors fans buy excited for what happens before the deadline.

GTJ going off recently has to attract a sucker looking for “instant scoring”

  27. Exceptionalwizard

No rush means they are panicking to find a deal but are playing hard to get. Love it!

  28. djexplosive

That’s because Masai is still…. evaluating
