Thibs said yesterday to expect an update in a “few days”.

If we don’t hear anything by Sunday. I’d say it’s fair to start worrying. Until then, I’m going off the news we got money and hope things are still hopeful.

  2. I think we should know by tomorrow or Friday latest.

Honestly, I just want what’s best for him to get back to 100% If the doctors are saying no surgery, that is great, but if they are saying he must operate we just all have to accept it

With soft tissue injuries, there are times When you have to wait for swelling to subside before an accurate assessment can be made.

  4. Has anyone not been concerned about this since the injury?

  5. zOmgFishes

I mean they are probably waiting and seeing how he responds to conservative treatment…

  6. charlesfluidsmith

Don’t really care. I want him to take as much time as he needs. If he’s out for the season, we will see him next year, and fight the good fight to he comes back.

Last thing I want is a Grant Hill situation. Be overly cautious in my opinion.

Leon keeps everything close, I’ll worry when they say something bad officially.

If it was the previous regimes then yeah I would be concerned but imma give this regime the benefit of the doubt

Actually hate this secretive bs the org does with our guys. Like let us know the status of Mitch and Randle. We’re gonna be upset, but gotta deal with the news regardless.

  10. I don’t hate it tbh. Our locker room is tight lipped. No one is saying anything they don’t need to.

They’re creating a contender in front of our eyes. Trust they know what’s right.

  11. swagu7777777

No one has any reason to believe me, but I heard he’ll be just fine from a solid source

  12. Pablo_Undercover

I really don’t want him to rush it, if he’s out for the season, shit sucks but so be it. I’d rather he rested and recovered fully. There’s no rush, our window is opening now and we have the next 4-5 seasons, don’t sacrifice that to try come back early.

And it could be a blessing in disguise, with randle sidelined its forcing guys like Precious to develop and it looks like Thibs is working his magic again in regards to Precious.

I’m sure they are getting 2nd/3rd/4th, etc opinions. It takes time to get in front of some of the best professionals in the world and he is going to do what is best for him, his career and his family. It takes time to gather all the information.

  14. DarkDevitt

Honest answer is they’re probably waiting for some swelling to go down before having secondary tests to decide…

Tin foil hat answer is he’s out for season but they’re not telling people to keep leverage in trade talks.

  15. SoftwareWild1958

It’s worrying even if he returns quickly given the limitations he could face. This injury blows

  16. Shuddering at the thought of this being similar to 2013-2014ish when Melo tore the muscles around his shoulder. Think he ended up rehabbing vs opting for surgery. 🤞🏼 that Julius’ injury isn’t too serious and rest will get it back to 100%.

  17. Nopantsdan55

I feel like they probably know what’s happening and waiting for all star game results to announce.

  18. Snapesunusedshampoo

It’s dumb to wonder…. our front office has shown that they will not disclose injuries unless they have to. IHart was listed with an ankle injury until just before he came back they they listed it as an achillies injury.

  19. realmatic2e

If things were serious don’t you think the front office would be working diligently to trade for someone?

  20. JustDragon

There’s a few ways to look at it—but for the most recent example: Mitch’s surgery and recovery timeline were both dropped suddenly in a very controlled manner. Not to say that Randle is done for the year, but it’s a testament to how tight the ship is being run. I expect a formal PR statement by the end of the weekend.

  21. Fishmandakota

They’re probably not saying anything in order to influence optics for either coach voting for the all star game or for the trade deadline. They will try to leverage any news to benefit the team

  22. dreamvomit

He’ll be back. I trust that woj knew he would be back at some point before he tweeted out his “weeks not months” thing
