I’m so excited to see a new PG and a 3&D wing. We desperately need both
Edit: hoping for Topic/Dillingham and Risacher. Pls
We will learn to play all 48 some day
Almost had an unbelievable comeback, so can’t be too mad at this outcome. But man the turnovers have gotten outta hand these past 2 games. Need more discipline for the full 48 min not just 1-2 quarters.
The Magic was always gonna be a tough opponent for Wemby, they have size at all 5 positions. They’re actually a fun team to watch, but I wish our boys would have pulled off that comeback. That drought for us was crazy tho
I don’t even know why our shooting is this bad. They hired a new shooting coach, Jimmy Baron from IMG Academy. But somehow our 3P% is as terrible as last year, dropped from ranked #26 to #29.
Wemby’s fatigued. We have 3 players who play defense. And we can’t shoot 3s
Wemby 21/8/3 and 6 blocks but he’s looked real tired with the increased minutes
If we played the 3rd quarter like they even gave an iota of a shit, we could’ve won this one
Atleast, get Herb Jones or something man, fuck!

Watching all those mistakes after cutting it down to 3 points
I’d be the first NBA player to file for bankruptcy during my rookie contract by the way I’d be calling out these dumbfuck refs every night.
Seriously though, sure we’re playing like shit but we are just officiated differently than our opponents almost every night and more likely than not it affects the result of the game.
The first time ever this statement can be made with a straight face.

Victor lost us this game and killed the momentum in the last quarter.

Yuck. Hopefully it’s never said again.
If you wanna know why this game was lost go look at the 3P splits for both teams. No way the Spurs should have been trailing by 20 to this terrible 3 point shooting team.
People keep talking about wemby hitting a rookie wall. He’s putting up 20 and 10 every night, he’s just gassed form the physicality, it’s not that big of a deal
Ok I think it’s fair to ask the question : is Wemby hitting the infamous Rookie wall ?
He seems to struggle physically, especially in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Victor kinda sucked this game. And yk what? It’s kinda awesome in a way, because in a “bad” game from our rookie he still had 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 6 blocks. And all of his mistakes are just youth based. Crazy where he’s at already.
Shoutout to Devin and Jeremy, they played great. I’m so happy Devin seems to be putting it together
No Rebounds and turnovers.
I am once again asking for more Blake Wesley minutes.
Branham playing more is unacceptable
We need another playmaker/scorer and not rely on wemby and dev. Also, a 3D wing would be great! Somebody like Herb Jones.
Wasn’t able to watch most of this game but was following on my phone. Got to turn it on right after the 15-0 run there at the end, where nothing went right for the remainder of the game.
This one’s apparently on me, folks, sorry.
The Orlando Magic are such an unserious team lol
The Wagner bloodline decimated us tonight and we really missed Keldon out there with the 2nd unit. Tough one to watch at times with all the turnovers and fouls.
Wemby with 8 stocks and a quiet but a pretty efficient 20+. Barlow was the only player on our entire roster without a TO 😂
Wemby keeps having bad (by his Standards) games. We need a PG that can score and shoot 3s better. Love Tre tho. Not mad about the loss magic are a good team. Obvious mistakes but they gonna get better
That Washington loss felt a lot like that Toronto loss after the team beat Phoenix back to back. They gave the game away late and that was the start of the 18 game losing streak.
Tonight they looked like they were forcing it all night. Shots weren’t falling, they were getting out rebounded and the Magic were all over the court making the Spurs look out of position slow and small. This game is why they wanted to see if Sochan would have worked at point. Tre looked small out there and it hurt him on those drives to the rim where he was caught in no man’s land with no options. All of the PNRs put him in terrible shape that they were slow in recovering from or gave up easy shots. They showed a bit of life in the middle of the 4th but when Wemby came back in they lost their minds again. They completely abandoned trying to get the ball to Victor in the paint and were throwing the ball around the perimeter never getting into any sets before forcing a bad shot, turnover or shot clock violation. Credit to the defense of the Magic for completely flummoxing this team.
Here’s to a better team game Friday. GSG
“Well, I am not worried about the defense in this game. I am more nervous for our offense. If we can stay controlled, rebound well and limit turnovers we should have a chance since Orlando’s offense isn’t the greatest. Orlando has underrated defenders though so we have to watch out for that. GSG”
That is what I said before the game. We beat them in almost every major category except 3s (as per usual) and turnovers. If we didn’t turn over the ball at least half as much, we win that game. Just going to fast and playing out of control trying to push the pace.
I’m getting really annoyed watching “push the pace transition basketball” as if can lead to some of the sloppiest and careless decisions and that’s all this was.
Some people said Wemby hit a rookie wall. I don’t think that. He was fairly good with TOs until the last two. The offense was piss poor and he kept getting the ball from the perimeter.
Fairly careless game and you almost missed keldon’s offense that game. Well onto the next.
If I went down the roster to decide who to keep long run
– Wemby
– Sochan
– Vassell
– Keldon
– Blake Wesley ( surprisingly)
– Tre
That’s it.. that’s barely a starting line up. The rebuild is going to take a long long time.
We need a center, a PG, A bench. Fingers crossed we hit on at least some of the future picks.
Risacher
It’s crazy cos these games are ones the Spurs can win..
On track for 44-38
Go Spurs go!
The reason why Vic consistently goes off in the 1st and then “struggles” after that is because they just stop finding him as much.
I swear it seems to me like they come out with lobs and good entry passes and then that just dissapears after the 1st. The games where he goes for 30 are the games where they find him consistently the whole game. After the 1st, they just put him in postup ISO’s or he wanders around on the perimeter
