Guys, am I being a homer here? People are always like ‘Shai gives himself whiplash throwing his head back so often’. When I watch OKC games, Shai does this like twice a game, usually on the perimeter. When I watch Atlanta or 76ers, Embiid and Young do this like 8 times a game, and Shai is getting lumped in with these guys.
Shai is mainly getting calls off the D Wade move where he gets people out of position and then creates the contact and tries to make the shot too. Or just being so good at the rim that the defenders have to foul because otherwise its a free layup
