I’m throwing a crackpot theory out there for fun……
Kd has not played his last game as a Net. Judging by his comments post game, it genuinely seems like Brooklyn was the first time he felt at home. You can tell he still misses being here and playing for the city. Like LeBron and Cleveland in the 2010s, there’s no closure yet.
So, he’ll spend two more failed years in the desert, and then as a 38 year old FA, he’ll sign a two year deal with Brooklyn to finish his career. He’ll be joining a now prime Cam Thomas, and another star to be determined soon. Kd will put the team over the top, and will be the missing piece to finally bringing a championship to the Nets franchise.
And thus, the prophecy will be fulfilled.
Man. This team is not in a good place.
We will never have a fan base and sustained success unless we try to build the right way through the draft. We have a golden opportunity to do that and marks and tsai refuse. Its so sad
