Yeah it’s a little disappointing. I hope this just fuels him moving forward

  2. GrumpyRaincloud

meh, sabonis averaged 19.9, 13 and 8 on a playoff team. THAT is the big snub out west. Vic will get there in time, he’s still a rookie.

  3. Bonesawisready5

I am sorry guys but if Trae Young, Fox and Sabonis aren’t there then Wemby isn’t either. Obviously love Victor but he will have his moment and all stars. Sabonis, Fox (and in east) Young are all bigger snubs

  4. CRoseCrizzle

He wasn’t snubbed. He’s been good, but he’s a rookie and didn’t have as strong of a season as the veterans who were ahead of him. Doesn’t help to be on one of the league’s weakest teams. Don’t worry about it, he’ll get there soon enough.

  5. moonshadow50

    This was not a snub.

Seriously – what is wrong with some of you?

Look at the list of guys who made it, let alone some of the other guys that missed, and tell me who Vic should’ve been ahead of?

His only chance was if all of France got behind him for a Western Conference starter and hope that the fan vote was overwhelming enough to would get him over the line. But I think I saw numbers that he wasn’t even number 1 in french voting. But once it came down to coaches for a reserve spot? It was extremely unlikely.

sabonis is 20/13 tho , dude deserved to be in there feel bad for him

  7. NoIdonttrustlikethat

People are going to tell you Wemby didn’t deserve this All Star spot

Well those people are wrong. You shouldn’t listen to people who are wrong.

  8. AgentEndive

Some of the comments have taken this more seriously than it was meant. I’m not taking anything away from the other guys who didn’t make it, I’m just supporting Wemby in a Spurs sub. That’s it ✌️ GSG

  9. vaselinebaby

The real snub is KAT over Sabonis. Dude is averaging nearly a triple double.

  10. The_Real_OneHungLo

Use it. USE IT! – Blade voice. They always sleep on us. Soon we’ll have champs and then they will hate even more.

  11. baguette-1234

Could be back up for an injured player but I think Sabonis go first, especially if Fox is not in either

  12. mrstretchb4ureach

LeBron didn’t make the All-Star game his first year. Steph Curry didn’t. Nor did Kevin Durant. Matter of fact, the last NBA player who won league MVP that made All-Star game his rookie year? Tim Duncan.

It is VERY difficult to be an All-Star your rookie year. He’s going to be great.

  13. AchtCocainAchtBier

People just ignoring the numbers in the post and keep making excuses.

    But fuck it.

Wemby will be the goat, so who gives a fuck about his rookie awards.

  14. TheBlueOne37

This isn’t a snub at all. If your gonna be on one of the worst teams in the NBA your stats can’t be good they have to be historic. He would have to be averaging like 30, 10, and 4 blocks to make the all star team in last place as a rookie.

  15. It’s all good, who cares.

Let’s just focus on getting some W’s and development going.

  16. ShowBobsPlzz

Doesnt victor lead the league in blocks too

  17. NeedleGunMonkey

Some of y’all are so deep on the cult of personality, as Pop says, you need to get over yourselves.

Is Wemby putting up all star numbers? Maybe. But he’s playing on a shitty team and they’re not winning.

  18. tacomonstrous

My God does no one here have a fucking sense of humor?

  19. He was not snubbed we have 10 wins. Would have been ridiculous if he made it over a couple other very deserving candidates. Vic was definitely in the conversation but he was a long shot for the selection. Vic definitely did deserve it but the was like 5 dudes who deserve it more.

  20. indiglowaves

If the Spurs weren’t complete shit he would have made it.

  21. Meanwhile the Lakers have 2 selections, the Timberwolves have 2 and the Clippers have 2

  22. notcool_5354

All stars are basically popularity contest.

  23. wilsonsmilk

Naaah. Sabonis amd Fox first. Should’ve gotten over KAT and Paul George

  24. I think the NBA should have have 13 players on each All-Star team this year. Have the 12 normal ones and add Wemby and Chet. That way they don’t take a spot from a deserving vet and people get to see them in the game. There are tons of really good players in the league that deserve to make the game.
