To see like when that kind of came down to turnover is that kind of been an issue for you guys for a while when is the key to toning that down where it doesn’t pop up uh just I mean simple just be better with the ball I thought we gave

Ourselves a good chance to win the game we just didn’t find a way to win today so they hit some shots when they had to shout out to them all respect to them so just got to figure it out next you feel pretty good about the shots you guys

Generated in the last five minutes it just didn’t go down I have to watch the tape by I I it’s hard the last five minutes of game was a whole game in itself so um I got to watch the tape but uh there’ll probably be something on

There I’ll probably wish that we could have got back you guys have done a a good job against teams that have gone small against you this season these two last two games against Oklahoma City have kind of been the outlier and they’ve kind of imposed a small size

Against you guys um what what is what do you think is struggle I think he turned the ball over a lot and you guys struggle to you know St drives no I mean like they were they were they’re attacking you and Nas and switching you know they’re smaller yeah I

Mean defensively I think you know you just make it difficult them take long twos I mean as you know it’s the worst shot in basketball that takes the least percent so uh just making it difficult them you got to give them credit when they hit some tough shots so they do uh

I think we did we we had chances though me N I think we all did we did a good job as best as we could you know against people like Shay and guys like that who are doing mid-range p making a miss and we just got to finish it out with

Rebounds I mean there was a time I looked up I didn’t realize Shay was like four for something so we were doing the job doing a job um you know high wall impacted him high contest at least made it difficult for him you know uh I think that just one of the things

That heard us too was Val and just just they find a ways to ET out some calls and uh the free throw line you know stopping the clock hitting some points I think it hurt us a little bit I mean there there’s a lot to learn from this

Game um but you know so at the end of the day we had a good chance to win I think it was the one time I looked up it was 88 to 81 or something like that yep uh that’s usually our call to put the game away just didn’t happen tonight

Like that what’s the key to turning the page just on this turnover issue that’s been kind of going since Christmas um it just be simpler with the game uh don’t be cute and just uh just do what we can to uh still drive with aggression and and but just I guess in a

Way of just be a little smarter then when we get there you got to you got to line a lot tonight and sometimes that’s been like you’re navigating yeah still still those like was that part of that like effectively navigating driving without you know committing it to follow yourself uh which just broke

Right just got some calls at the end I got like six of him at the end so um two I think had like two technicals I shot and just like a regular two free throws I think somewhere in the first half um you know I just haven’t haven’t heard Dallas

In a long time we finally got to some Dallas action 34 action with me in the middle and I just try to exploit it especially in my matchup and try to get to the basket and not settle and uh make them have to either call call or you

Know use my touch to make a shot um got some got some free throws out of him you know I was working that’s a reaction to when they doublin that’s that Dallas action is like you’re going to the is that no I I mean it

Was it was it was called and my number was called and I just was very excited so I just wanted to make it work so um we Haven R in Dallas in a long time just got called today and I was able to make it make some uh plays out of it that

Results in the free throw some passes some good shots so um good C it except a best spot on the floor to attack mismatch front see it’s the best place not to get doubled for sure so I mean if you see bigs you know other bigs we talk about in the league

You know they’re they’re finding themselves more at the Dallas action just because of the pure double teammate uh kind of makes the ball come out their hands and less aggression on that side talked about Ling all on from like tonight he played VCS three times now it

Could be a potential play match up down the road like how much do you find yourself learning about what how to attack them things like that as you face them each time here I mean you learn something new every day I mean you learn something new every

Time uh they they got a great coaching staff over there so you know they’re adjusting and they’re doing different things against us every time we played them so uh just seeing how they would like to guard Us in three different ways and uh kind of their game plan changing

Up three times as as ours has changed three times as well so um I think we’re all we’re both getting good tape on each other and it’s uh it’s going to lead to a fun matchup if it does come down to that in the playoffs and take a minute

To adjust to the matchups you guys came out defensively like what you guys had on him it just seemed like everybody’s would be a little different you guys guarded in past when he guys play Oklahoma City you were still on t i but I was on um Williams 34

Right I I’ve guarded him so I mean it just the way the game shaked out is the way the game plan was written up so um we all we all asked a lot and uh from my point I just want to be able to guard whoever they need me to guard whether

It’s a switch on or it’s giddy or whoever may be on the transition so um I feel like I’m guarding door on paper but I’m really kind of just running to whoever is open and taking that match up take a handt up after missing those free

Throws at the end it’ll be fine we’ve all missed free throws we wish we could have made so it’s just part of the game um it it’s literally just part of the game he’ll have way more opportunities to make them up Finch brought up passing

Up open shots do you feel like for you when you’re getting double outed the post set for your teammates like is that something that you want them to be ready to catch and shoot off of your kickouts on that I mean for sure just because it’s a good shot it’s the right shot

It’s the right play to make um yeah just just we got really good talented players in this locker room especially on the court end um you make you get you get doubled in the post and you make that pass out of course you would like them to be the ones to shoot

It just because it’s the first pass but most of the time you know maybe a hockey assist and maybe the third pass that gets it from the wing wing Corner wide open azri nikil Alexander pump fake dribble left jumper you know so um as long as the points get put on the board

And it leads to us winning that’s all I care about just one about about Rudy please he seems like he took to the took it to the next level this season and you guys are actually playing together now like on a consistent basis so tell me

What he brings to the team a lot a lot I mean he’s our defensive anchor he’s our he the guy patroling the pain and and we trust him and and you know ask a lot from him uh on a daily basis he’s a special player is my opinion is going to

Be a Hall of Famer and we’re just very honored all of us I speak for all of us W including myself that we get to have a chance to call him my teammate what it what does it bring to you uh way you play he just allows me

You know I could definitely say he lets he gives me a chance to throw a lot of lobs so he gives me a good chance to do that something I haven’t done a lot since college with Willie cystein but um I think for me offensively just being

Able to I feel like one have someone like that that as a big man I know how it is to um patrol the paint and and get him involved in the right spots the right places um try to U try to maximize the offense ability he has and give him

Some confidence and and defensively you know he makes my job much easier that you know I get to pressure guards I get to pressure wings and forwards and if anything is to break down uh they get past me and the other got to go see Rudy

Go bear in the paint feel pretty good about r o at anytime with that so um and also offensively it gives me a uh a chance to do 45 action I haven’t had a lot of CHS in my career and I’ve been really good at it doing a pick and roll

Action with me as the Handler so he gives me a lot of different tools to utilize in my bag and and um I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to play m
