Minnesota is a terrific defensive team team and they played really well to start the game defensively obviously they were shooting the basketball really well rudo Bears making free throws like blah blah blah it was everything was working for the Timberwolves early uh but credit to this magic team
They do what they’ve done for three years now um they fought back they didn’t give up that went down as many as 17 first off Michael Martin says Mo was in a fight with the Pistons too right that was that was uh yeah mo mo Vagner
Was in that fight Mo Bamba was the Minnesota one Mo Vagner was the the Pistons one uh so yeah magic go down by as many as 17 but maybe this is just me but even we were down 17 I didn’t feel like oh here we go game’s over you know and not just
Because we know the magic don’t ever give up but I mean just from a basketball sense I did not feel like uh it didn’t feel insurmountable to me like we weren’t playing great I knew we could play better and I didn’t feel it didn’t feel daunting to me and obviously
Credit to the magic cuz wasn’t daunting enough to them cuz they kept fighting back uh which you love to see um so credit to his team obviously for doing that and what I love is we didn’t change how we played like if anything we returned more to Magic Basketball than
We started the game obviously you start the game Rudy goar car Carl Anthony towns in the paint it’s daunting for a team that likes to score in the paint to see those guys every time you get into the paint you see those two seven-footers but credit to the magic
They found a way they what they did most I thought was they picked up the pace they really picked up the pace trying to score before Minnesota was able to get into their offense first quarter didn’t do that very well second quarter on whether it was a make or miss on one end
They were pushing the ball every single time which made a huge difference in this game then you go into the fourth quarter you get the lead well third quarter you get the lead you into the fourth quarter trailing by eight um and yet the magic once again didn’t give up
Claw all the way back again and then once they got the lead I have to look at when that lead was probably four minutes remaining I’m guessing off the top my head something like that four or five minutes I’m not sure what it was they didn’t look back I’m pretty sure they

Jaylen was great too 156 22 and one for him love to see that went four of nine from three love to see that just a good night really good night from Jaylen obviously he’s playing in Minnesota he’s not going to lose he’s not going to lose Marquel 10 points three boards five
Assists two Steals and a block only one turnover the thing with Marquel is gonna be the thing with Marquel he gives you zero offense from distance it is still a concern for me floor spacing is a concern for me the fact that defenses do not have to worry about him outside of
15 feet it it worries me it’s not good however Marquel is getting back into his Groove and doing all the things that Marquel is so good at he is back to doing those so there’s a pros and cons thing here also by the way Marquel terrific on defense tonight it’s a trend
But Marquel was really good on defense tonight as was Jaylen as was Gary Harris uh yeah good stuff from them then the bench unit I’m not going to go through each individual player bench just wasn’t great tonight a little bit disappointing I thought they had some favorable matchups again I’m speaking offensively
Here because defensively I mean obviously look at Jonathan Isaac played basically 20 minutes tonight uh three points and had the biggest bucket of the Night by the way that that putback uh also got eight boards in 20 minutes love to see that is credited with one block
And two steals probably could have had a second block um ji was great Gary Harris i’ already talked about him several times tonight but Gary I thought was terrific defensively so good especially considering he hasn’t played in a month to come in and play 17 minutes against
Anthony Edwards he was great so glad to have Gary back now the next step for Gary is hopefully he’s found his shooting form while he’s been out because before he was out with the injury his shot this season from distance was bad career lows for him so hopefully obviously didn’t take a three
Tonight hopefully he gets some opport unities to to catch fire from three cuz that could be really huge for this team down the stretch and going into the playoffs if he’s still on the roster after Thursday’s trade deadline let’s at some of these team stats here uh Magic we already talked about

So far it is the biggest game for the magic so far this season forget your star names forget games against the nuggets and the Bucks and the Celtics and all that kind of stuff those are really high profile games that fans like you and me really lock into and
Especially the casuals they get really locked into for that but Tuesday’s game against Miami is the biggest most important game of the season so far for two reasons number one because of what you’re looking on your screen right now how the magic are tied with the heat in
The standings and so obviously this is a full game swing right you win this game on Tuesday if we’re still tied with them on Tuesday you win this game you go up a whole game if you lose this game you go you go down a whole game it’s big but
More importantly is the tie breaker Miami leads the season series 2-1 if you win this game on Tuesday the the head-to-head of the regular season and goes 22 tied and goes on to other tie Breakers depending on other factors Tuesday is a huge game but before we get
