Hey coach what can you take from a game like this yeah I mean guys competed um you know there’s kind of like a a dual World we’re living in like we’re moving the ball 35 made shots 30 assists but then when we’re kind of force feeding a

Little bit we’re not making that early pass just to create That Just Energy you know I’m a brok a record second third actions what does that mean just get off the ball play another action pull behind like we designed some atos got some great looks out of that uh guys had

Their moments but we just got to you know clean that up for sure sure um guys are fighting uh battling obviously got away from us you know there in that fourth quarter in a tight battle overall pretty competitive got to give the Warriors credit they played extremely

Well shot the ball well killed us in the paint um you know trying to take that three ball away they did a really good job there and then they just moved the ball they had some creative stuff um to put us in some compromising positions

That you know when we adjusted we did a good job but um they did a good job tonight I think last time you guys played them GG and Vince had huge games and they’re still relatively inexperienced I know you’ve talked about this a little bit but how do you make

Sure that you know they continue to build on these opportunities even when they may not shoot the ball well yeah I mean you got to relish these opportunities I mean obviously for Vince going against Curry I thought he did a good job early in the game obviously

The fourth quarter learning opportunities we’re getting from you know Indiana sack uh you know the other night and then tonight um are going to be great for us you know we’re we’re we’re working through some things guys are taking advantage of their opportunities guys are stepping up in

Different roles you know you know maybe the full 48 minutes or it’s a spark in the third quarter or helping us start the game and um you know we’re just trying to figure it out one game at a time but just really impressed with how these guys are coming out there they’re

Trying to take on the challenge they’re not letting this game get out of hand U at any point in the first half or even in the third quarter we’re battling and we just got to come up with those plays in that fourth quarter and you know hopefully even have cleaner games in the

First three quarters so maybe we have a bigger lead going in the fourth but you went in different ways um you’re going to lose in different ways but the fact that we’re competing and giving ourselves a chance that’s the thing that sticks out the most uh Taylor I think it’s been

Different situations but you Matthew heard a couple games ago got a little bit more minutes yesterday I think Tre Jimson did today toson got some run into rotation just kind of with those guys particularly but just with the team in general right now how are you kind of determining how much

Certain guys play when they play and you know kind of constructing that uh rotation yeah I think the nature of you know our our kind of active roster with injuries is presenting opportunities uh for these guys to step in Matt you know two games ago um you know x uh out last

Night allowed Trey to step in and X out tonight as well wanted to give a look to to son did a great job just you know him in the pick and role and playmaking I thought he did a really good job kicking out you know win to be aggressive you

Know want to encourage him when he’s down low you know not to shy away from going and scoring you know him knocking down that three and shooting with con teammates who telling him to shoot it but his playmaking skills are stuff that we loved when we evaluated him I thought

He did a pretty good job of that you know in those short rolls and half rolls but these guys just stepping in you know it’s about evaluting how they just fit into our locker room the chemistry with the teammates uh with the coaches you know them in 10 days you know can they

Showcase picking up our stuff and what kind of Pros they are and I think these all three of those guys are doing a great job taking advantage of their opportunities and they’re making the most of it even in a short amount of you know minutes in the back Gillard had 16

Points five assists only one turnover and two steals what did you see from him tonight what’ you like about his te yeah great floor command out there I thought he did a great job getting the guys organized you know he you could see him waving his arm trying to get guys to

Next actions the right spots on the floor um you know he took the shots that came to him in Rhythm I thought he did a really good job um you know no hesitation there I thought he was Scrappy on the defensive side you know obviously the the block shot put a

Couple of steals um he’s does great job organizing us we keep stressing how we’re going to get to the paint you know pick pick and rolls screen rolls um his ability to facilitate our offense but then to have a scoring night like that when we’ve you know challenged him to be

Even more aggressive shooting the three uh I’m glad that he had a night like that tonight hey coach I know it’s nothing special but in the last week you had three guys to score their first NBA points do y’all do anything special for those guys to recognize that

Accomplishment yeah I mean we keep that stuff private you know there may be a game ball you know the guys cheer for him and all that that stuff it’s you know these guys living their dream you know it’s it’s not not always about scoring and stuff but when you get that

First bucket you know even talking them one-on-one just the joy that they have all the hard work that they put into this I mean every player that’s in the league when they score that first bucket it doesn’t matter if they become a Hall of Famer it’s guy on a 10-day contract

They should cherish that and you know we try to celebrate that for him uh back to Gillard for a second given the nature of some of the players in front of him whether that be J or Dez I’m sure there was no promise he would be playing so is there a level of

Appreciation for a guy like that that has stepped in for most of the season and has has played a important role yeah I mean this uh dates back to even last year you know coming to Camp um not being on a two-way earning the two-way you know at the end of last season

Because all the great things he did growth-wise being a great playmaker I think he led the g-league and assists you know super unselfish guy he’s got this unbelievable personality that you know just kind of how he jiv with the guys and you know talks you know smack

With them and all that uh it is really encouraging because that’s kind of how our locker rooms built uh but going into the year you know obviously with j at the first 25 games you know with Marcus you know Derek you know we knew there may be some opportunities even early for

Gilly to get his shot uh whether that’s going to be with a hustle and then a couple moments you know with the Grizzlies but then he stepped in you know I think within less than a month’s time he was starting uh for us because of what we said the unselfishness the

Playmaking the organization being a floor General out there that helps guys kind of play in their comfort you know on the offensive side for sure but he’s withstood a lot of different roles throughout this year and you know when he steps in uh he’s not phased by I’m in

I’m out I’m just going to go out there I’m going to play hard I’m going to have fun doing it and I’m going to try to make it you know be about the team at the end of the day and you know obviously he scored well tonight but
