So the Bulls announced that Zach LaVine in consultation with team of clutch sports that he is elected to undergo season ending surgery on his right foot that right foot that has been bothering him for some time now that actually put him out for 17 games this is not the uh
Sprain ankle evidently the sprain danle has healed and everything is okay with that but the foot continues to bother him and he’s going to be out for the rest of the season what initially was going to be a 1 to two week delay in him getting back onto the court quickly
Turned into an additional one to two weeks and now we’re looking at season ending surgery and uh this is brutal on a number of fronts one for Zack LaVine first of all however you feel about Zach and what he brings to the Chicago Bulls and maybe the frustration that you felt
Towards him over the uh course of all these trade rumors and him wanting to actually leave or looking into an opportunity where he could be traded to another team uh he’s been with the bulls for six and a half Seasons now he’s been with this team for a long time has given

To be getting traded I think we already expected that he wasn’t going to be getting traded but that now is is most certainly going to be the case because part of the reason why Zack Line’s trade market was non-existent was due to the fact that a lot of teams were wary of
His injury history which wasn’t Justified because Zach actually for the most part had been very healthy after the ACL injury back in 2017 up until now and now he’s going to be out for the season a team is not going to be trading for Zack LaVine when they know that he
Is not going to be returning this year and they don’t obviously know how he’s going to be when he actually comes back next season so it’s unfortunate because that means Zach’s going to stay with the team and me means the Bulls are going to have to hold on to his contract we don’t
Know how he’s going to recover once he comes back next season and now they have a Max contract of Zack lino in their hands so it’s just unfortunate on a number of different fronts um obviously for the Bulls we’ll see if this impacts at all what they decide to do with the
Deadline maybe they look to actually just pivot entirely and do a tear down I doubt that’s going to be the case because continuity but you never know this could shake up things a lot for the Bulls as it relates to the deadline it also could mean they do absolutely
Nothing which is more than likely going to be the case to begin with but anyway unfortunate news Zack LaVine out for the season I’ll obviously have more updates as they come through but uh we’ll see we’ll see what the Bulls end up doing from here on out they’re going to play

I would never wish an injury on any player but I will say that I never thought Zach was worth the contract he was given for many reasons. But they got what they paid for now they are stuck. They made their bed now they have to lay in it.
Mega sucks for everyone. Opportunity for our young guys to develop and get real minutes. I’ve said for a while, this year is a wash. We are a play in team or a first round exit. Enjoy watching the young guys develop. Would still absolutely love to see Caruso and Demar on semi team friendly deals to help develop the kids but I understand if the vets want to chase a title.
Stay Balanced and non-biased.. Signing him to a max contract was a bad bad move as I said then, now he looks like he is gonna Otto Porter Jr this contract.. Bulls are starpped and trapped. The only way a team will gamble and trade for Zach now is if Caruso is included in the deal. A team like the Warriors who've shown interest in Caruso may workout a decent deal for Zach and Caruso in a trade for a package something like CP3's expiring contract,Wiggins and Moody etc. Warriors may use it to dump CP3's salary cause he's old and feel they can compete this season with Caruso and they'll be even more competitive next season with Caruso and a healthy Lavine.

Bulls traded for Lavine while he was still recovering from a major ACL injury. Maybe another team will gamble and trade for Lavine even now and hope the reward outweighs the risk.
