Kristaps Porzingis Agrees With Joe Mazzulla’s Reaction to Celtics Loss to Lakers | Postgame

Questions for thank you where do you think you guys were kind of off tonight see like espe you know nine turnovers pretty fast in that first quarter where things kind of going yeah we just started off the wrong foot and even going into the game we knew like these are really tough

Games those rest of that team is playing with no pressure and these are really tough games like all of them can still play it’s not like okay this is going to be just you know sometimes it is sometimes it is a blowout and you know it happens

What maybe should happen but uh a lot of times it’s a tough game like this and especially them hitting shots being H from three making some tough ones like we kept on like trying to like make the play and and and and try to get there but our percentages were not there and

Theirs were up and on top of that we gave him a head start in that first where we just started off the wrong foot when you guys do start off on the WR foot what can you kind of do to refocus a little bit especially you know nine turnovers and all those offensive

Rebounds you guys gave up what can we do sorry just to refocus I mean we did if I had the answer you know we’ win the game like we we did we we we tried to okay let’s do this let’s do that they’re doing this try to make some

Adjustments but at the end like if they’re shooting the ball great and we’re not shooting the ball good then it’s going to be a tough night and and and we made some adjustments we had some moments where we l decent but um overall it’s it’s this is like

Typical NBA you know we lost this kind of game and this is like it happens it happens but um you know this this this will definitely not Define us I think it will only give us more hunger more fire to bounce back the next one with the

Start how much of it is human nature kind let your foot off the gas when you find out but LeBron and to be honest of course first idea is like oh okay but then second idea is like like even me and Drew like pregame we looked at each other like it’s going

To be a tough one like we know these kind of games are tough and as I said he can go kind of smooth from the beginning for a team like us but it can be a tough night and tonight was one of those nights where it’s a tough night and they

All feeling good they’re all hitting shots they’re all getting hype for each other playing self basketball moving the ball and like it’s it’s still you know some of those guys are you know high level players still and and getting that extra opportunity and extra room for

Mistakes and all that can just give them freedom and and uh and and that’s what happened to that team tonight at the start of that third quarter um you Dereck and Jaylen were taken out two or three minutes and after Jackson haes got a couple of rebounds there was there any

Discussion about what Joe was upset about did you do you understand it office it the whole time we deserved it of course we’re pissed off like we’re pissed off at ourselves and and and I completely completely understood I never want to come out the game but I completely understand like we have to

Change something this is this we’re not playing good basketball we’re going to just do the same rotation and kind of keep this game the same actually those guys came in that subbed us out we were playing like like terrible those guys came in like gave us some energy like we

Kind of got back like six seven points but still like we could not just break that uh that like that that that bar right there and uh but yeah we we had to make do something differently and we tried we tried but it didn’t go our way tonight Jo’s message you guys how

You um uh he he it was really good it was really good it was on Point again uh he was saying like we cannot um we cannot uh like because he f and I also felt this way that like even when we were down a little bit like

Because we haven’t been down a lot this season just because we’re down we we it’s not the you know end of the world like we’re going to be down some games we’re going to have terrible games like we did tonight but we got to like we got

To stay with it like we can make we’re down 10 we get two stops we score two times we’re down four five like this a completely different game you know so we just have to be uh we just have to stay like this even if we’re down or whatever

You know when the game is not going our way completely so that was his message like we’re going to at some point we’re going to be in those situations like we were tonight again and just how we bounce back from that first NBA you move on from losses pretty quickly but is

This is this one that that maybe you sit with and say you know like kind of like really feel how battle loss this is or or like you just have to move on because um yeah we have a couple days in between now um of course it sucks like I

Know especially for the fans and for us like it’s always a rivalry between us and the Lakers um we don’t want to lose to them ever again but uh but this is the NBA this is the NBA again this is like almost like a script you know

You’re going to lose this type of game and fans are going to think it’s the end of the world and like we lost to the Lakers like without ad and LeBron like end of the season boom done you know so we we but it’s it’s you know it’s just a

Loss it’s just a loss which we have to learn from and which we will now we’re going to get a couple days rest uh which I think a lot of guys especially uh will like be really useful for we bounce back like hungry and full of energy final question

First steps you guys have had a ton of games lately Now you kind of chose your schedule Joe’s been talking about how he almost kind of welcomed some of these losses coming so that you guys have that l in the season so now that you have

Time to almost like reflect and rest up a little bit what like what comes out of this for you guys out of the losses yeah um yeah I think it’s uh it’s I think this like saying this quote always works for me like you win or you learn you

Know like you win more from your losses I mean you learn more from your losses 100% if you win a lot of times it covers some of the stuff that you know but a loss like tonight and even a tough game like Indiana and of course we try to

Always like look at each other look at ourselves in a mirror like okay like even if we won like what are the things we need to clean up what are what do we need to do better but it still doesn’t hit the same as when you actually get a

Loss then you you know you really like okay we need to get better at this this this or this game this didn’t work or we actually played all right but we just didn’t make shots so you definitely learn more from the losses and and I think this will this this this is this

Is healthy for us

  1. KP please try to play at least 6 games in a row! My gosh you play 3 games and then you’re out for 3 games consistently! I’m beginning to have second thoughts , this will not work in the playoffs.

  2. On to the next. The part that hurt, watching them suck then decide to play hard at the end.

If they play well and lose fine. If they play below their greatness fans struggle to accept that.

This is what we are taught to believe, when we go to work, school or play sports.

    This team is still great

  3. I was hoping KP ☘️ would hit some daggers against Reeves but we'll bounce back learn from the mistakes

  4. Mentally soft. New players same mind set.
All the excuses are getting old. Cant win every game but these last 4 or 5 have been lazy.
