Made a lot of Threes in the first quarter I think they made nine threes seven nine um no I think in the second second uh quarter third quarter fourth quarter played hard try to take the ball away from uh Lucas’s hand have somebody else make a play spring back try to protect

As much as we can the three-point line um but the most important thing is that the moment you you know take the ball from their P primary playmaker um just makes it a little bit harder for them you to to make plays they um you know doc mentioned kind of waiting on

That trap for the second half especially once you guys got within 10 single digit second quarter um a what did you like about that change and also the fact that you just sort of installed it and were able to to execute it like that um first

Of all you know you got to you know give credit to the to the coaches you know for you know explaining to us and breaking it down for us and uh we know that some that we are we are going to use moving forward some that works we we talked about it

Yesterday we executed today I think also the guys did a great job just we knew that what we were trying to accomplish from that which is get the ball from the guy that makes the most plays for the team um and then everybody got to be ready everybody behind got to be ready

To rotate and make them make a play you know speed them up a little bit you know at times it works at times it doesn’t work but uh now nobody’s like you know kind of sitting down not participating on defense everybody has to be alert uh

There was you know there was times that uh I think we could do it in the Portland game especially you know down the threets when Simons had the tough bucket and you learn from that and that’s why you know you you you have to anything that happens in basketball

Court you learn from it and then you go back and watch it and try to get better and I think uh the thing that we we applied yesterday we used today he allowed us to be better so hopefully we can use it more moving forward what else are you

Going to apply uh against Utah tomorrow obviously last time you played you guys it was a rough game so what have you learned since then I don’t know I don’t remember uh I know we lost by what 7 we were down by 30 came back obviously

They play fast uh I I’m not a coach um I don’t know what the will apply I’m just out here whatever they tell me to do I I try to do um but again we have to go there and um we have to show them their appropriate respect very very good team

Play Fast play together want to shoot a lot of Threes um have great environment so it’s going to be a tough one in the fourth quarter they throw some different defensive looks at you I think it’s zoned for a little bit some doubles traps different stuff and it felt like

You guys just kind of handled it and kept executing what do you guys see in the fourth quarter it just you know just felt good I think we were playing together the ball was moving um you know the ball was getting in the middle the guys in the corner was ready to shoot

Bobby was working the duner really well uh I just felt good um I don’t know why it felt good but not just for me I think for the whole team it felt good like everybody was touching the ball the ball was moving you know we were running together but all that starts from

Defense uh once you get that energy from defense I think it’s offense becomes easier you know when you get scored on every possession then you know offensively you’re you’re not as good I believe so I think uh we got that defense from we got that energy from

Defense and then in the in offense we went there execute everybody was in the spot guys were making shots guys were cting D was aggressive we were going for the offensive rebound we we were playing good basketball just for you what what did you find offensively I think you

Only missed eight shots on the night like 20 of 28 just what were you seeing out there that allowed you to you know find a group tonight I just trying to be aggressive um you know this this games that is not open for me and um it’s hard

For me but there’s games that uh I can you know make some shots and today was some one of those games I was just trying to be aggressive and try to help my team uh in any way possible br pretty you know obviously personal reasons but

In the middle of the day I guess so you’re going to play a little more five um just what was that like for you to sort of be told that I guess or maybe at a little heads up that hey you might be in that spot for most of the game um

Obviously like Brook is a big part you know of our team definitely our defense and he’s the biggest guy out there you know and when you’re a protector you know is not in the game you you feel it you feel feel the type of way but um you

Know we had the opportunity for Robin to play a little bit and uh Jay to play more and uh me and BP play more together uh we we we figured out they they had they had great uh bigs but they didn’t had a traditional big you know poo and

CLE um we almost similar size so it’s was okay you know now tomorrow is a different case you know tomorrow they have big so we’ll figure out you know and they also have to figure out because we we going probably play more ball last game coach Doc emphasized the need for

You guys to win together versus one guy winning the game for the team how did you feel like the team won together tonight uh I definitely feel like the team won together uh I think the ball was moving with you know uh communicate with one another and defensively we

Definitely I think as a team got a lot of stops uh because that’s pretty much what happened um what did you see from Chris defensively on LCA he was the one that I know you guys threw traps at him and got the ball of his hands but he was

The one that kind of started uh to do that and then once he picked up his fifth foul you went and did that as well so um what do you see from Chris and then when you got the chance late you know playing like a guy with play like a

Guy with Luca you know it’s um it’s going to have the ball majority of the time you just got to make it as tough as possible for him and uh you know there’s times that you got to you know speed up players and make them feel comfortable

But he’s one of those guys that he doesn’t really speed up he goes on in his own pace um you know obviously I think Chris did a very good job on him you know just showing his length because he as big as him maybe a little bit

Bigger uh making him make just tough shots uh for me I was just trying to you know speed him up as much as I much as I can try to you know make him go to the paint try to finish over length um but at the end of he’s a guy that is

Extremely talented he’s going to catch his spots even if you like even if you Ted your best he still going to get to his spot so uh but I think overall as a as a team we did a great job you know uh just making as tough as possible for him

And show him a lot of crowd early in transition then picking him up uh then we picking up in the switch you know the guys wasn’t going away we were you know kind of crowd trapping him a little bit and then U there was times that we were

Going all the way so we can make sure he pass the ball U because you know he’s the guy that’s going to have the ball majority of the time and you hope that if you do that over and over again like he gets a little bit frustrated uh but

He he didn’t he went and got the ball and uh it was in a lot of Poss that he scored on us but you can’t stop players like that you just got to eliminate them um no not not eliminated am kind of um I canot say

Limit Li limit them as thank you so much limit them as much as you as you can throughout the game this is OB a unique situation what do you think about doc clenching the uh honor of coaching the East Allstars tonight he’s going to coach the game

Uh it’s great um I’m I’m definitely happy for him um not just for duck I think he’s done a lot of times in the past um maybe one time he coached me in the past so he coached against me I think 2021 but like I’m happy for the whole coach

Staff the whole group that’s going to go there because it’s a unique experience and you cannot say a lot of uh you know a lot of times you’ve coach the allstar game so I’m um I’m definitely happy for them it’s um it’s a lot of hard work

That paid off the turnaround tonight how important is that in this transition to him as the head coach is it a pretty good boost in that transition to him uh for him uh obviously I think um to be able to caliber coach like uh coach duck to

Come and uh get this job I think uh it was his decision you know like obviously there’s a lot of teams around the league that probably want him to be their coach but uh uh he you know he wanted to come and uh be with this group I think he

Believed in this group obviously like we’re going to have growing paints and moving forward is not going to be easy but um I think um there’s something positive about about him and he keeps this group positive he wants us to be positive win or lose we do it together

And um it’s not it’s not going to Bey it’s not going to be because we like four games ago and today we like we don’t play the same play differently and you know you have to give credit to the lot of players in this team that they

Smart and they’re able to adjust because it’s me it’s mental uh and emotional like draining to always try to figure out what’s what’s going on you know and I feel like that’s what we be doing this year but now we on a path of 35 more games uh with a coach

That’s giv us a direction and U there’s a positivity about him and we are going to try to do our best uh with you know how you say with the cards that we’ve been dealt um I’m happy that this um our coach we have a unique group um but we

Have to keep on working and we got keep on building habits and hopefully we can uh do something great
