Any concerns about rosier’s height or uh his defense I think would be a little bit overstated I I don’t think they have an issue with that I their their biggest understanding at this stage is that they need to generate more offense that’s they they get what we

Because I I do think that that they believe that they will figure out a way to Cobble together a defense around bam when they have some continuity but the offense we’ve looked I mean the numbers are the numbers like the the they need somebody else in that starting lineup

And if they’re not going to put Duncan in for Tyler uh which I know is a place where this ultimately could this discussion could ultimately go but if they’re not going to do that then they need somebody who can generate some offense we talked Sean and I got into it

On the podcast a little bit um Terry Rosier likes to operate in the mid-range also okay so you’ve already got your three best players who like to operate there and I think they’re going to need to make some sacrifices Tyler is gonna have to do more of what he did last

Night which is stretch out to the three-point line take more threes I think he needs to take 10 threes a night he’s at eight for the season he took I think 11 last night um and Bam needs to get near the basket more often and maybe rosier’s ability to

Get in the paint more than Kyle can uh will help that in some ways but they they can’t have bam just shooting mid-ranges especially when he’s not even making them lately so uh so to me I would he’s a different kind of player than what they have um I think he’s a

Kind of player that they could use right now I like Murray better I’m with a Turnal on this Murray is a higher end player he’s going potentially give you more defensively but do you if if you’re going to get in a bidding war with the Lakers for him

And the Knicks and you’re right and the Knicks and you’re GNA exhaust the rest of whatever assets you have can you pivot after that and I think their their lean right now will be to the Hedge move we give it a shot he could be a high-end

Player for us he wants to win he’s been in a losing situation he wants to play for Miami try to juice the offense a little bit you get hakz back you see how all the pieces fit if they still don’t fit with Tyler we start to have other conversations with Tyler okay about

Tyler but I think they want to at least take a look at it and then worst case scenario I mean I’m looking at the contract and you’re right this was one of those that was considered a bad contract at the time and it’s not now I mean he’s he’s making 23.2 this year

24.9 next year he’s got a partial guarantee in 2526 at 26 and a half million so I mean that’s reasonable money uh that’s reasonable money for for production I think that they can anticipate so I mean Kyle has 15 field goals made in January Terry Rosier made

16 in his past two games and 17 in the two games before that so and he’s not doing it on six of 23 shooting he’s doing it on he’s he’s doing it on seven of 14 shooting seven of 15 shooting so I I just feel like that’s uh Tyler bass

Free throw line he’s got one free throw attempt in his last 100 minutes of basketball his free throw rate is 0.146 that’s the worst of his career it’s actually the lowest so it’s getting worse Terry Rosier is at 0. 236 that’s basically the same as highe hakz Terry rosier’s free throw rate so

Give you an idea of the drives and whatever the case may be he’s also shooting a good amount from three it’s about 83s a game or so and he’s making 36 37% which is actually pretty good I Le average is around 35 36 typically around this point um he’s getting

Downhill and again free throw rate in terms of guys who lead the team obviously Jimmy’s first like with a bullet bam is second Kevin Love is third and then among the rotation players haime hakz is right there so that’s where Terry Rosier would be he would be

Right there where um haime hakz is in terms of just his free throw rate and obviously he scores so try on defense like he gives you all the things they need and I think you said it right where in comparison to deante Murray I think Murray they’re going to get out bid and

Murray would cost more the the Murray idea is a good one I think he’s becoming a little bit more of an overrated player as this goes by other fan bases I don’t care about his two buzzer beaters because I think he’s going to cost a lot

And then people are GNA get him and be like wait I thought he was gonna be this and he’s not and also it’s like if he’s playing the way he is with Trey young he’s going to go into somewhere else and it’s like if you need to be featured on

Offense and be the the guy on offense this isn’t really the team for you either like you have to be able to play off a couple of guys in Jimmy and Bam that aren’t the easiest to play off offensively I think Terry Rosier can sort of thread that needle I think the

Reason why Tyler hero struggles to do it is because he doesn’t drive with a purpose usually he drives to kick drives to get to his floater pull up for the mid-range area I think the reason why haime hakz is thriving is because he drives with the purpose and I think

Terry Rosier would come in and theoretically do that want to get a couple things first thing a turtle take take College seon off and throw terer on I don’t think seon’s coming so I’m with them I’m with them on have a playlist I know you have a playlist but but you

Know I mean look so so does uh you know so so does I’m not even gonna mention bands because I’ll date myself but C you have a playlist sometimes but the audience doesn’t fit the playlist so you you change plenty of good bands do that

So what what do I think looking for I think they’re looking for more of that than traditional point guard like like bring the ball up the floor and you know start to run every set I don’t think that’s what they’re looking for they want somebody who can go get his

Honestly they don’t have enough of that so I for all those reasons I think this makes sense I I agree Brian about Dante I really like Dante but I think Deon is a better fit in New York yeah next to jayen here’s the other you’re on you’re

Was at the time they got Goron Goran became an All-Star after they got him right and the other thing here is like we’re talking about in terms of making plays for others Tera Ros right now his assist percentage is 31.1 the highest assist percentage on the heat is Jimmy Butler at 21 his

Kind of halfway committed to the future but you’re not totally and you can still move the contract next year because it only has one year remaining on it after the season doesn’t other than obviously the partial guaranteed in the third year and if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t

Work out you move on and somebody’s always going to want a scoring point guard so like it keeps the team more malleable too because Terry is someone like if you want and I wouldn’t do this because I would do this with somebody else but if you want you could have him

As your six-man Deonte Murray if he’s on your team he needs to start he needs a b it just requires more maintenance that I’m not sure they’re going to be equipped to want to do that along with the fact that you’re going to have to

Give up more to get him you’re going to have to outbid the Lakers clutch LeBron clutch Rich Paul clutch to get maybe get LeBron maybe get LeBron back next year you know what I mean I know he loves Dante like that’s what it is like you’re he recruited deante personally turle

His assisted turnover ratio it’s actually pretty damn comparable um to dejonte who I feel like gets you know um gets the rep more as like a point guard and a playmaker that I really don’t feel like Rosa gets that rep much if at all I feel like people think of think of him

More as like a a shoot first type of point guard but yeah like their assist like this year and of course this isn’t going to be something that’s like directly translatable to the Heat and and the role that he would be here because he’s not going to be playing the

Same role but with the um the added responsibility he’s had this year and that especially like that stretch without lamelo I mean for the season he’s 30 um his assist percentage is 30 his turnover percentage is nine like that is fantastic that is a 95 percentile 95th percentile assist

Percentage also Alex you know who leads the Heat in assist percentage be nasty it’s Jimmy Butler at 21 and Terry rosers is at 31 yeah so and like I said look he wouldn’t like his usage this year is his career high is a 27 which is very high so look he’s not

Gonna have a 2 27 usage with the heat so I don’t expect similar but even like in in the Years with smaller roles he still had like pretty damn good assist to turnover um percentages when you just look at when you just look at the ratio

For those two like last year 22 to1 the year before 20 to7 you know so it goes from like playing next to lamelo ball playing next to lamelo ball like he he’s not dominating the ball in every possession no but he’s he was the second option and he still had like even last

Year 26 usage and then kind of the years before it was where it was where he was at for the rest of his career where it was around like 23 so you know like let’s say you try to like translate him into a role that he’s been in in the

Pass and it’s more like a 22 or 23 usage even with that I feel good about it and I think that’s the type of stuff you got to consider um you know with any of these point guards we’ve been talking about because it’s like um they’re going to be

Playing a different role so I I I still really like the idea though because a guy can straight up just break down a defense and make a play and that’s really what this is about he can play off ball and he can score from all three levels so I’m into it

Iting along also for what it’s worth he is also third in the NBA in points per possession off of pick and rolls say that again he’s third in the NBA points per possession off the pick and roll bam will bam will give him some screens I will I will say this though
