Look at it two weeks later of course they bring in three first round picks in exchange for shipping off those two stars they bring in RJ Barrett emano quickley and Bruce Brown as well as Jord Nora from the Knicks and Pacers respectively um and they also have a
Budd superstar in Scotty Barnes who at what 6’8 is the perfect archetype for the modern NBA they were 16 and 25 at the time of the trade now they’re 17 and 31 so it’s obviously not a win now trade it’s not making immediate dividends but nobody thought it would um their big
Three is now all under 25 years old they’ve kind of reset the clock a little bit and hey Scotty Barnes is really good the kid is averaging 20 points per game this year 8.4 rebounds 5.6 assists per game for the the Raptors as he’s taking over now the number one option um and
He’s shooting at 48% from the field and the most impressive part 36% from three on six attempts in 35 minutes a game we’ll you know talk about that a little bit more here in a second but Scotty Barnes has been phenomenal for the Raptors this year and he is proving that
He can be a piece that you build your franchise around 1.5 Steals and 1.5 blocks and like I said the biggest Improvement he went from 29% from the three-point line last year now he’s shooting at 36% on six attempts um looking at his stats from last year
Overall I mean he’s up five points per game he’s up a couple of assists couple rebounds um he was shooting at 48% from the field last year so that’s still the same but the three-point percentage is what has really improved and he is the future north of the Border he just now
Has some help uh to go with him on his timeline 68 two-way star 22 years old like I said perfect archetype for the modern NBA now let’s take a look at what the Nick Duo has been able to do in their first few games first handful of games
North of the Border in New York RJ Barrett was putting up about 18 points per game 4.3 rebounds on horrific shooting splits 43% from the field 33% from three that was the big problem with RJ in New York he was just inefficient in Toronto he’s averaging 21 points a
Game 7.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists through his first 13 games played much better um especially when you look at the efficiency um he’s shooting at 55% from the field compared to 43% in New York 36% from three on four attempts compared to 33% and that is in 13 games
Played so still a small sample size relatively but at 23 years old he’s only going to continue to improve and I think some of the pressure being off of him being out of that New York Spotlight I think it’s a perfect uh deal for him to be north of the Border uh especially
Considering he’s back home looking at Emanuel quickly in Toronto he’s averaging about 17.3 points four rebounds and 6.1 assists per game as the point guard the head man the Catalyst here for the Raptors in 13 games played he’s only shooting at 41% from the field but 46% from three which is interesting
On six attempts in 31 minutes a game so Emanuel quickley has been pretty solid for the Raptors as well now as a Nick he was averaging you know about 15 points per game 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 45% shooting from the field 40% from three so I expect the efficiency to kind
Of level back out where his field goal percentage is above his three-point percentage um per 36 in New York he was putting up 22.5 points a game four rebounds four assists and a steal which was very similar to Jaylen brunson’s numbers in New York where Brunson put up
About 26.4 points per game 6.4 assists four rebounds on 47% shooting from the field and 43% from three those aren’t the per 36 numbers but he played in 36 minutes a game so basically the same thing if you are enjoying today’s video at any point make sure to like button

This rebuild they also bring in guys like Bruce Brown Norah and Kier Lewis Jr so like I said massive hall for massiri and the Toronto Raptors front office now they also have a lot of cap space to help build around this big three as you can see Scotty Barnes Still on his
Rookie deal RJ Barrett has already signed on long-term but between Scotty and Emanuel quickley they’re two best players short-term contracts so they’re going to have to resign them but bue and Dennis Schroeder are combined to make 23 million so you could go ahead and move them um Bruce
Brown has a $22 million player option so a lot of you know liquid uh assets when it comes to the cap space front um and you know you can even look to flip Bruce Brown as well 10.6 points per game six rebounds and two assists in his seven
Games so far in Toronto I mean nothing spectacular but he’s just a great role player he can really fit into any system in the NBA and be a winning player 46% from the field 38% from three one steal really solid numbers from ambrew Brown
And like I said I mean he is I wouldn’t be shocked to see him dealt again but if the Raptors want to keep him I wouldn’t be shocked either um now can they develop longterm you got Jordan or here Lewis Jr a couple of guys here that they
Bring in they can you know they’re willing to take a shot on they got some you know time to put into him because they’re not trying to win games last year Kier Lewis was very efficient from the field but he only played 10 games his rookie year he put up 6.4 points 2.3
Rebounds 1.3 assists in limited minutes about 18 minutes a game per 36 he was averaging 13 and four and a half so not bad numbers whatsoever um and then Jordan Nora last year in Indie was putting up solid numbers where he put up 13 a game 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 assist he
Was a big time part of that rotation and then Bruce Brown comes in they get a lot of wings um and his PT goes down he I mean he shot at 48% from the field 42% from three on 4.5 three-point attempts uh over 25 minutes of PT I think the
Raptors can make something out of him um now a guy that I’ve been disappointed in for the Raptors has been Grady dick I was very high on Grady dick coming out of college four points per game one assist 1.7 rebounds not been good so far especially considering he was a lottery
Pick at Kansas I mean he was immediately a stud 14 points a game five rebounds 45% from the field 40% from three but in the league so far he just hasn’t quite gotten a guard and I think you know fair enough there’s going to be a bit of a
Transition period shooting at you know over taller longer Defenders from a deeper range 32% from the field 28% from three not great now like I said they don’t have very much depth either they’ve traded away you know two of their better players they get three in return maybe four if you’re counting on
Jordan Nora but but as of right now they have a lot of question marks off the bench I like the starting five I like it a lot with Schroeder quickley um RJ Barrett Scotty Barnes yaka purle but they need to use that cap space this summer they also need to decide if they
Want to keep yaka purle long term um they also need decide if they want to keep Chris buet if they want to keep Gary Tren Jr because both of those guys or Gary Tren Jor is expiring Chris buet is owed 10 million next season also got
