[Smith] I’m not sure that’s what Brown is, I think he’d be a nice seventh or eighth guy on a really good team, I don’t think he should be a starter on a team building for two years from now.

>He’s available to play but, for where the team is and where it’s headed long-term, he’s simply — and correctly in my opinion — not in the rotation.
>I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’ is dealt for some heavily protected second-round pick or waived right after the trade deadline.
On a potential Lowry reunion (an actual contract)
>I’m not sure, having spoken often to Kyle, that it’d be anything he’d like to do for where he is in his career and where the Raptors are as a team.

7th or 8th? He was literally starter/6th man on last year champions.

As the raptors retool, can we trade Doug Smith? I’d be ok with shedding some draft capitol for it.
bustthelease
Raptors need to unload Brown, GTJ, OPJ, Young, Boucher for the best assets they can get.
OPJ and Young should be waived if no trade happens.

Doug Smith is a tit

Just get a bunch of 2nds please. We need lottery tickets to scratch

I don’t think this sub will be happy with the return we get for him

Whatever about Doug’s nonsense about being a 7th/8th man. We do need to trade him to the highest bidder at the deadline

I’m truly curious when’s the last time Doug watched an actual basketball game if he thinks Bruce Brown is a 7th or 8th guy, lol. He was the sixth man on a championship team ffs.

i could see us having a handshake agreement with bruce to pick up his option and trade him next year. if they don’t think they can get a star in free agency picking up his option wouldn’t affect us cap wise, and bruce isn’t gonna get offered $20M+ again.
Huge-Split6250
Well Doug does start the sentence with “I don’t know what brown is”. Which is redundant because, brown being a basketball player, we Doug knows nothing about him.
