Lakers Losing Dejounte Murray To Utah Jazz?

Lakers Losing Dejounte Murray To Utah Jazz?

What’s going on everyone deante Murray to the Lakers it seems to be the Lakers number one priority still um Jake fiser had a report the other day that said hey both sides really have confidence that a third team that they can find that third team it’s looking more and more likely

That it’s going to be the Brooklyn Nets that’ll be the third team because they’re interested in a couple players that the Lakers have primarily DLo which is who Atlanta doesn’t want so there very well could be a route to the Lakers getting Deon Murray personally I think

The Lakers will land Deonte Murray uh now obviously anything can change right there were a lot of teams that were interested in dejonte Murray in the beginning of this whole conversation right when Deonte Murray first became available and he slowly started to see teams kind of fall off and drop off a

Little bit and we’ve gotten the reports time and time again that it’s like hey the Lakers are the only team that’s really making offers Lakers are the only team team that’s really serious about getting to jeon Murray several teams that were interested in jonte Murray have already went elsewhere and have

Already gone elsewhere and looked elsewhere um and so yes there is always that chance that a team could come out of left field and swoop in and take de jonte Murray I mean we’ve seen it happen several times now right with Donovan Mitchell seen it with Damen Lillard now

Obviously Deonte Murray isn’t either of those guys but still right he’s still a very good player was an All-Star all defensive player he’s a guy that could be very valuable with certain teams now I don’t have huge concerns about that personally just because like how many teams really need a point guard right

Most teams especially the good ones already have that guy they already have that athletic point guard they already have that versatile guard that could play either or and one of the big problems is jonte Murray he’s not great playing as the two guard he’s getting better but he’s still not there he is

Best as the point guard with the bonus his hands making plays for others doing his thing playing the role that he’s best at so I just don’t see that there’s a lot of competition that’s why I beli that the Lakers were going to get it in the beginning I didn’t think the Lakers

Had a chance to get Deonte Murray because it’s like look there are so many teams that could easily out bid the Lakers the Lakers wouldn’t even stand a chance and then you start seeing the landscape you start looking at things like okay wait wait a minute time out

You know what Lakers actually do have a shot here and I think the Lakers need de jonte Murray more now than ever with Jared vanderbelt out now obviously Deonte Murray isn’t Jared vanderbelt obviously Deonte Murray isn’t a forward but he is still a 65 guard with a 610

Wing span who was an all defensive player would provide some athleticism out on the perimeter and give you that point of attack right he’s a guy that can defend the best player on the other team night in night out as long as it’s not some like 68 guy or something like

That right but basically any guard smaller forward um he could be your guy that you throw on but as I mentioned there’s always the chance of a team coming out of left field and swooping in on jont Murray and that team may be the Utah Jazz so according to uh Jake fiser

Who he was the guy that reported like the Lakers and the the Hawks are confident they could end up getting a third team um the Utah Jazz did in fact place an offer for de Murray per Yahoo sports so obviously it wasn’t good enough to get the deal done because it

Would have already gotten done but it is concerning right Jake fiser of Yahoo sports went on Mark Stein show on iHeart radio and stated that the Lakers and Jazz were the only serious offers that were placed on Murray that the Hawks would consider he also said this Fischer

Goes on to say could it be Utah maybe could it be one of of the other 10 teams that the Hawks say that they’re talking to I haven’t been able to find 10 I’m weary if that number is that robust so couple things one right um

This could just very well be a leverage play by the Atlanta Hawks because what do they want they want Austin Reeds they don’t want to work out a three- team deal they don’t want d’angel Russell they they want the Lakers to up and give Austin Reeves so how do you add some

Stress to the Lakers and maybe scare them into Trading Austin Reeves oh well we’re talking to 10 teams right now and one of them just gave us an offer in Utah and we may consider taking that now here’s the thing it could also not be a

One of those leverage plays or a scare tactic or any of that maybe Utah really did make an offer and maybe it’s just not what the what comparable to Lakers or maybe it’s a little off from what they want they’re like okay well maybe we can get more for Lakers you got to

Keep in mind and maybe it was better than Lakers maybe it was a better deal than Lakers but Utah’s like or uh the Atlanta Hawks are like no we want Austin Reeves so maybe we can use this to go get Austin Reeves otherwise we’ll take this deal right and it is very possible

The Utah Jazz come in and swoop on Deonte Murray now I don’t know why they would want Deonte Murray um I guess it also depends on what they’re giving up but luckily Atlanta doesn’t want salary players now they do have guys that are expiring you know and they do have like

You know you got like Kelly oen you got um you got like Jordan Clarks like so they could get there and still have the draft it look let me put it like this if the Utah Jazz want Deonte Murray then the Utah Jazz are going to get Deonte

Murray and the Lakers are so because the L like the Utah Jazz just have far more than we have to go and acquire him which has always been a concern of mine is that the Lakers just they don’t have enough to where if it gets into a bidding war they’re screwed and look

You’re talking about Danny a here and yes he helped the Lakers last season but he’d also probably love to stick it to him so it’s not look said this before nothing is guaranteed everything is rumor and speculation until it’s finalized until dejonte Murray is in a Laker jersey stepping on the court for

His first game it is it’s not a done deal we have gotten reports on ESPN and breaking news and stuff of players signing with teams or getting traded to teams and it falls through right I mean we’ve gotten those so again until I see Deonte Murray in a Lakers jersey I’m

Always going to be weary I’m always going to have those concerns I don’t necessarily buy it but again you never know I just it’s not that I don’t buy that another team might want to I just don’t think the jet I don’t see Danny AES ponying up the

Assets that it would take to go get Deon Murray right unless he really sees Deon Murray as like his point guard of the future and he thinks that that okay that’s the point guard we need to go and contend for a championship right or we’d only be a couple pieces away at that

Point like then maybe but I just don’t see that being Deonte Murray I don’t call me crazy I just I don’t but again you never know until it happens right until he is a Laker I wouldn’t count on it now there are a couple things though

Right if you’re the Lakers can you maybe kind of entice them like hey Atlanta you want to clear some salary you want to move off some stuff right like what if we take some longer term salary I what if we take a couple pieces on top of it

Right like maybe you you work it out to take on a Clint capella or a uh Bogden bogdanovich because Bogden bogdanovich I think has like three years still left on his deal um right so maybe you can convin them and work something out to where you’re getting you know you’re

You’re clearing off an extra year or something like that um CU yeah Bogden bogdanovich is is managing 18.7 million this year and then it is nice that it like actually decreases goes from 18.7 to 17.2 to 16 um and then he has a club option in 2026 2027 for 16 million so

Like if you can maybe clear off some salary and work some stuff out right especially in a three team deal or maybe expand it to a four team deal right that could be another way where and and also be beneficial to the Lakers where it’s like you know hey you want to clear

Salary you want to kind of retool and revamp this roster right well what if you know we go and we we do the Brooklyn deal you take on you know Spencer Den witty and you know we we work out some other stuff right maybe you’re tra sending a couple guys right the lake

Maybe and this is just a thought maybe the Lakers are trying to find because there’s there was there’s reports that the Lakers are shopping Gabe Vincent and they’re trying to find expired ing contracts for Gabe Vincent what if that is part of it what if the plan is okay we turn Gabe Vincent

Into pieces that are expiring or a player that’s expiring and that’s the deal and it’s like hey you know we we turn Gabe binon into expiring contract so now we can would you take Spencer Den witty you take said expiring contract you know you throw in maybe like a torian prince

Something like that or you throw in a couple expiring guys or something and it’s like here you go okay we’ll give you that and then you give us bonovich and and muray and everyone’s happy I mean that could definitely be something right or you know maybe you know ruy

Gets thrown to to the Nets and they’re throwing out some I don’t know what expiring contracts they have on their books but you know they they might have a couple that could work and I mean you can my point is that you can figure stuff out and that could be another way

To kind of you know leverage and and put yourself in a position to be in the conversation again um but I mean that’s not it’s not what you want to hear right the last thing you want to hear is another team coming in and potentially swooping on on the Lakers bid that would

Be not good to to put it lightly right but we’ll see time will tell um look I still believe he’s going to be a Laker but again I until he is actually in that purple and gold I not I’m not holding my breath right but anyway as always this

Is a discussion so I pass question on to you let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below what do you think how do you feel do you think uh that hey Utah is coming in they’re going to swoop up or somebody

Else is going to swoop up how do you think no he’ll be a Laker it’ll be fine would you again would you be okay with taking on another salary personally I would right if it’s the right guy right if you get bogin bogdanovich or Clint capella or something like that even if

You’re just saving them a little money over the next few years right like if you could do that why not but anyway again how you feel let me know down in the comments that being said if you haven’t liked this video hit that like button helps me a lot let me enjoy these

Lakers Trade For Dejounte Murray might be in jeopardy has the Utah Jazz have emerged as a Trade Suitor. Lakers Nation needs a trade badly but don’t have much Trade assets to enter a bidding war. Lakers News of Murray could still be a thing but definitely a bit of a concern.

  1. With Dlo and Reeves play over the last month it’s getting more difficult to even want to move either of them. Maybe we jut need a reliable big to help out AD like a Valanciunas or Olynyk

  2. Lakers really need to get Murray. Dlo ain't getting them over the hump they in. Dlo relies too much on his three point shooting to get his points plus he is slow which makes him easy to stop in the playoffs. Murray on the other hand can do multiple things and is fast on the floor. Lakers are already good as they are…but, Dlo is the only gamble if they decide not to trade

  3. I'm torn as I want to see my Lakers win but I don't think we can win even with Dejounte Murray. I noticed during that Boston game we were actually running a 5 out set and it worked. This is why Boston was confused and lost. We didn't adapt to what the defense gave us. We made them play our game same as we did last year when Lebron was out. I'm not saying Lebron is the problem but its pretty clear this team is not built to run a proper offense with Lebron on the floor. We should hold off on trades until this summer.

  4. Will Hardy as an assistant under Popovich had a great relationship with Dejounte and helped develop him. So I could see this move being influenced by Utah´s head coach. I could also see Murray wanting to play for him

  5. Can't wait for this deal to NOT go through, so we can all stop the talk of DJ Murry for good. He does not move the needle smh

  6. Dejonte is not a trade that we need… Yes he has defense, but trading DLo or AR you loose 3pt which is needed for Bron and AD. Now that vando is out arguably for the season, 3 and D is important. Get Caruso by using the draft picks and trade JHS. Trade Jaxon H and a few second rounds to get Andre D.
