Another thing. @vkillem on Twitter has been saying that the Lakers and Nets are ready to go on a 3 team deal where we land Murray and DFS, ATL has been unrealistic with the asking price. Now Irwin says the issue isn’t the third team, but ATL demanding Reaves in a trade. The reports line up and add in context, with prices dropping this week maybe we get lucky and net something special.
Murray/ Jones for Dlo/ Vincent would be a masterclass.

Injury seems ridiculous after just going back to back at the gardens with an engaged Bron & AD coming back. However, Irwin is getting increasingly popular amongst other NBA FOs as a name, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lakers are just using him now for leverage in being able to walk away from a deal
Reaves for Murray is too much, I’m sorry. I know this sub is very high on Murray, but giving up Reaves is out of the question.
Murray strikes me as too similar to the Russ trade, going for a name when he isn’t a shooter and even his defense is shaky. LeBron does not know how to build a winning roster around himself.
Listening to Klutch had them sign THT over Caruso, ship out KCP/Kuzma and a first for Russ, ship out Danny Green and a first for Schroder, send out another pick to clean up the Russ mess, sign guys like Harrell instead of shooters and defenders, etc.
Klutch holds a lot of blame for wiping out the 2020 winning formula. Imagine if they kept it together and you had a Reaves/Caruso/KCP/Bron/AD lineup plus Kuzma and 3 extra firsts to work with in that time?

Tyus for Gabe and a few seconds if possible is a beauty of a trade imo.
I hope they take the long route with Vando and get him to do season ending surgery. Apply for the disabled player option and use that extra money to sign someone. (Biyombo).
In as much as I love Dlo and his recent play… Dlo + FRP to get DFS + filler type of guy would go a long way in saving the season.
You replace DLo’s playmaking with Tyus, you replace Vando’s defense with DFS and you upgrade your back up Center.

How would the Lakers end up with DFS and Murray while giving up only 1 FRP and DLo — the two of which basically cancel each other out. At least one more asset has to go out in that deal realistically
Trading Reaves would be a catastrophic fumble. Murray isn’t even close to worth it.
