“Only thing I don’t understand is Sixers saying he will be out “extended” period of time. IF meniscus is trimmed and flap removed (20+ minute procedure thru tiny incisions) then recovery will usually be relatively quick (average 6-8 weeks, some sooner, some longer— I would hope 4-6 weeks especially if he works hard AND maintains conditioning during recovery). IF HOWEVER, meniscus is REPAIRED/stitched (NOT usually the case with flap tears, and something I would not typically recommend) then recovery would be prolonged (meniscus is slow healer and no running for 4 months) and meniscus sometimes doesn’t even heal. So hopefully a quick trim (not repair/stitch) with a speedy, and not “extended” recovery! Stay tuned…”

hopefully this is a blessing in disguise fr…Morey beefs up the team, and Joel heals up and finally has a healthy playoff run

  3. His timeline seems to match what Woj and Shams are saying the team is hoping. Seems like it’s all dependent how the surgery goes.

What a fucking beast of a human. Gonna take years off his knees for the game. We are not worthy

  5. I’m gonna start asking my post man and check out person at this point. Everyone has an opinion and only Embiid/Sixers will have an answer after the surgery.

This is the MOST favorable interpretation SO I WILL BELIEVE THIS ONE.

  7. Right, because the optimistic view has always realized itself with the Sixers.

  8. Next-Team

This is Philly sports, get the hell out of here with your optimism, unless you have a pain kink or something

Joel Embiid has played in 53% of the games in his career, no way he misses more than a couple days. This is so not like him.

I wonder what a total knee replacement would be like, with infinite budget, for quality of life after he retires. Like, can rich people become cyborgs yet?

Same shit with kawhi. He ain’t coming back like some sort of movie trope right when you need him. His season is donezo.

Now look for NN to get crafty and find usability out of the dungs on the bench.
