Miami vs. Virginia Game Highlights | 2023-24 ACC Men’s Basketball

Didn’t miss a lot of time on Saturday against Virginia Tech but had a difficult time shooting it just one for five omir on the drive is going to scoop that one up and in orchad omir really is the heart and soul and for a young man who started out shooting the basketball

So poorly in this first year now over 40% from Beyond the three-point Arc but he’s made his bigest impact on the defensive end pman will drive scoop and that’ll rattle in angel of course you know a lot about this when you were playing at Florida State it takes a

While for your system to get picked up that’s one of the things that Tony Bennett has had to deal with is North chadow Mir gets a easy one and guys like Elijah geru with assess of the first years here at UVA Cleveland jumping in the paint and the kick here for Joseph

Slick feed in the lane for two yeah missed 10 games because of that ankle injury so it hasn’t been a big factor quick strike underneath they got gr freen for two the 69ine grad and we will see if he does return tonight that’s a huge miss the way he’s been

Playing here’s Groves got a good look and knocked it down they calling it a two-pointer of course after o have nearly knocked down the four-point play shot clock is down to six mcne he drains the triple Harris on the wing shock clock inside 10 Again McNeely to Harris Groves won’t wait yes another

Who hardly missed they absolutely have two guys who are knockdown Shooters and mcne and Gro C shoved it up there and the rebound by dun of the University of Virginia and more importantly glad to see that the University of Virginia on the forfront of advancement and adversity Joseph with a pretty play so

Looking for a hot hand Joseph can be that guy he was in the second half on Saturday packed on the Baseline trying to spin free shot clock down to four and switched in by n Shad oir mcdy slamming on the brakes here’s Murray another guy who can hit a

Three-pointer shot clock at three mcne yes not much is for the Hurricanes after a pretty quick start with the feet and a slam by gun that’s when you can win when you’ve got three guys you can depend on to give you offense meanwhile Miami once again looking for consistency Joseph blocked

By Dunn the top guy in the conference the outlet for Dunn on the other side will lay it in talk about end to end turnover issues throughout this season Virginia trying to score on a second turn over in a rope shot clock inside five and the scoop shot by beakman just kept on

Going another SWAT for Virginia pman finds the m Open it’s Murray sticking it from three-point L now we get a second effort crosscourt here’s Poler and swishes in a three-pointer they desperately needed Joseph shot clock to six slithers that pass to omir he’ll kick it back for pack

Shot clock down to one and switched in by Wugga popper stretch out every possession as long as they possibly can they’ll use the majority of this 30C shot clock and then end up getting a good bucket an easy bucket like that for Reese Beacon already multiple turnovers

For the Hurricanes how about this 3 minutes into the second half and Miami averaging 80 points a game they’ get 17 and finally get their first basket of the second [Applause] half 3119 and mcney for beakman once again inside for M this time he will make the shots I think I

Can call him whatever I want touche my friend a block by D Miami has all of 19 points more than 5 minutes into the second half beakman switches it in from three-point Lup Virginia taking on pit right here at John Paul Jones Arena 7 Eastern and Boston College hosting Lille there’s

Done with the slam up over everybody on the other end it’s Reese beakman to Ryan dun another highlight 47% beyond the three-point line downstairs and the Slam by nor Chad oir but just not enough of that tonight for the canes not by a long shot well

The canes now have to find a way to just some stops on the defensive end to see if they can turn it into points Jim Lonas told us earlier today how his offense his teams offense affects them on a defensive end and if they can see it go through the basket theil Mitchell

Is the Patriarchs of this program pack pulls up and Pops that clangs away and a tough rebound there by omir and he’ll draw the foul two so he’s at the line looking for a three-point play so Virginia just 38 seconds away from going to 13 and0 at home this season Herre

Down the lane flipped it up after losing it and laid it in so the bench guys going to make the highlight real time for Virginia I that was about to be a highlight because Elijah ger may be the best athlete on the floor and he was ready to launch on

That possession going to be a force that has to be dealt with as Elijah gerw shows off what we may see on Sports Center later it was going to be a d and yet did not get to 40 against Virginia who locked them up as they do so many on this floor

The Cavaliers defense suffocated the Hurricanes in a 60-38 victory. It is the 23rd consecutive home victory for Virginia. UVA forced Miami into one of its worst offensive performances in ACC play in school history. The 38 points was the lowest Miami has ever scored in an ACC game, and they shot 28.6% on field goal attempts which included going 2-20 from three-point range. Reece Beekman scored a game-high 16 points to go with seven assists, four rebounds, and a block. Jacob Groves added 12 points off the bench. For Miami, Norchad Omier led the Hurricanes with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

  1. I don't understand how coach L keeps getting a pass we ride the Baseball coaches we ride the Football coaches but this guy keeps getting a pass. His teams are all the same they just go out there and jack up 3 pointers take just horrible shots low percentage shots for the most part everyone just camps out around the three point line.Last years team won in spite of him not because of him. If his offense doesn't jave a guard who can create his own shot this is what we get year in and year out with the occasional big year. This program has come too far since the days of the Miami Arena to get ro this point and just stay stagnant
