I was wrong about James harden but right about kawhi

James I’m coming to you woman to woman, hat in hand, to apologize. I was unfamiliar with your game.

I’m still 👀 when it comes to the playoffs but this tweet sums up why I’m feeling more optimistic than I was a few months ago.

I was right bout kawhi tho! He’s always gonna hold himself accountable and play at an MVP level 😁.

    No one cares dude. Go take a victory lap with Adam Ausland or something instead

    That’s the key. Take his series against Boston last year. If he does that again, Clippers would win that series in 5. This team ain’t losing when Harden puts up a 40 piece bc Kawhi is too consistent. And even if he has a couple 3/11 games, there’s enough firepower to pull through as long as he does the other things (remain engaged on defense, playmake, rebound) like he did vs Boston a week ago.

    PG & Harden are actually both having poor seasons by their standards & playing similar to how they did when they were seen as struggling in the playoffs.

    Harden can’t score like he used to while PG is playing injured. Difference is they’ve replaced Morris & Reggies old roles as our 3rd option/PG. Dudes that are end of the bench pieces on their new teams PHI & DEN, both with supposed “MVP” players.

    When both PG and Harden play poorly, we’re still incredibly hard to beat. When 1 of their games is on we’re almost unbeatable. When both are on fire we cannot lose.

    Sometimes we see when all 3 of our guys are clicking at once, all it takes is 1 quarter of that & we go on those 20-0 runs or whatever they are in a matter of minutes.

    And to think there’s still another level we haven’t reached yet, playoff Kawhi is coming, Mann plays better in the playoffs, WB plays better, and so does a guy like Norm who is cold blooded.

    I can see this team reaching 2014 Spurs “beautiful game” all over again, theres something special that happens with Kawhi’s teams in the playoffs, it’s like they have the ability to ascend.

    I think this is why Harden said this team is more talented offensively than that 2018-19 Rockets. A lot of scoring options with this team.

    Unless, James Harden finds new ways to generationally shit the bed. I don’t see how Clippers can’t be one of the top 3 teams in the west to get out of the conference (or even to the promised land). {Hopefully if everyone is healthy, touch wood}

  6. Big difference is fans treating it as disappearing 70% of the time in play-offs or taking over 30% of the time in play-offs. I know we the cool kind of fans.

    I feel the diff is Harden doesn’t need to be relied on Kawhi is too good and PG jus needs to play aggressive and the rest will follow suit.

    People need to stop with the whole narrative that Harden is not a playoff performer. He is… and a very good one. His TS and EFG are pretty good, and he’s 19th in scoring, 16th in steals, 13th in assists, and he’s 4th in 3pt shots made in the playoffs. He’s also had a lot of bad luck when it comes to the playoffs… like playing an OP Warriors team multiple times with not the best Rockets roster (he also got cheated in game 7 against the Warriors). Also, some of his teammates got injured like CP3, Kyrie, Embiid.. and he also got injured for the Nets against the Bucks. He also has a lot of wins in the playoffs.

    He got a lot of hate when the 76ers lost to the Celtics, but he was the only one that turned up for the most part. And, he certainly wasn’t to blame for that 3rd quarter collapse against the Celtics in game 7. Embiid barely got the hate, yet he didn’t carry in 1 game against the Celtics… and the 76ers only needed 1 carry game from the MVP.
