Wouldn’t mind it honestly don’t think Quickley is a true Point guard, have him be SG

We need talent, we can flip him next year too if he’s continues to play well

  2. I think this is the Raptors being a potential facilitator in a Hawks/Lakers DJM trade, question is, what would we get for being the 3rd team

  3. Kingcanute99

That sounds like more we’re getting paid to facilitate because ATL doesn’t want Russell in a Murray trade. Like sending out expirings, getting young players / picks in compensation.

He has ties to Toronto, I’m not sure what they are but he comes to Toronto during the off season pretty often. I’ve seen him at UofT a few times and around the downtown core.

I don’t hate it, only because I think this would mean we’re getting rid of Dennis in another trade but we better be getting draft capital to take him on.

In no way would I want IQ, Dennis and D-Ro on the same team. With all of our draft picks coming up I don’t want them in the way of development.

If we get paid to take him on as part of a larger Hawks and Lakers deal that’s fine. Happy to move him to another playoff team. If he stays we move Dennis for a protected first and have him off the bench. We aren’t winning this season or next, this is a transaction to maximize draft equity

Knicks could use a 6th man type bucket getter. Fournier + Draft Comp

Dumping ground for likely some picks to take salary. What’s the issue?

Name dropping by the Lakers. Salaries would match with a potential Brown deal. But I doubt the Lakers have anything interesting for the Raptors in return.

A lineup of quick / DLO / RJ / Barnes / yak sounds fun on paper

  9. Electrical-Target-10

Cool, I’ll take DLo to match salaries as an expiring with a potential to flip him.

Anyone calling DLO “bad” is just going off narratives and proves they dont watch games. Hes been really good for the past months. Just had a awful slump in December.

I like his uni-brow so he has to be decent

  12. WhatShouldTheHeartDo

Time to be like mobsters, we’ll handle whatever contract as long as they slide them picks over.

  13. he woulda been nice here when we had pascal and OG lol

We should be in the business of taking bad contracts for picks, inflate the values of those “disgruntled” assets and flipping them for more picks ala the OKC Thunder. Let’s face it, we aren’t getting any big time free agents to come to Toronto with the off chance that maybe, just maybe, we can get a superstar Canadian to come to Toronto. Outside of that, we need to get smart about asset management and talent evaluation in the draft.
