As much as his individual stats may deserve DPOY, I really don’t see them giving him the award. The trend lately has been to give it to a great defender on an elite team defense. And we aren’t that. Could maybe sneak onto an all defense team.

There’s never been a DPOY that didn’t make the playoffs in the same year the award was given to them. Wemby would be the first and I think it could happen.
