Another season, another injury Joel’s toughing it out to be back early to help the team. Process era playoffs have left a lot to be desired, but Joel’s toughness can’t be questioned

EDIT: I know it’s not what we like to hear and I love the guy but it’s the truth. The fact that every hopeful sentiment starts with “we just need to get to the playoffs with Embiid healthy” means that his durability is indeed a concern

I have been reliably informed that Joel is a bitch who ducks competition. /s
But seriously, get well and put on a fucking brace.

Couldn’t care less about a players attributes if they never make it to the post season.

2018: Orbital Fracture and concussion
2019: Knee tendinitis and virus
2020: Healthy! Course Ben blew his knee…
2021: Torn meniscus
2022: Torn thumb ligament AND orbital facture + concussion
2023: Knee sprain
This year: meniscus injury or tear or whatever

2023, 2022, 2021 and 2018 he came back earlier from multi-week injuries that would sideline most players (and nobody could or should fault them for that). It’s a fucking shame that his injury history just keeps growing because the dude is tough as fuck. Him (and maybe AD) play through so much shit each season, and yet both get the stupid ass rep for being soft or a bitch, makes zero sense

The process has been over for years since hinkie was forced out.

There’s no star in NBA history who has played through more injuries than Joel Embiid.

Hell yea we have the toughest center with 0 rings. Thats fucking awesome and exactly why we drafted him. Just go be tough and dont worry we will waste the rest!

Wouldn’t need the toughness if he wasn’t always getting hurt. Just saying.

Eric Lindros of the NBA. Generational Talent ruined by injuries.

They better trade this mofo while they can get anything of value for him. Great player but too injury prone to be a centerpiece.

same pundits saying he was ducking are now saying they should shut him down and then they’ll spend all summer shitting on him anyway. im just totally done with any fans or media that are outside of the team. they either clown the dude for getting injured or just straight up celebrate it. its fucking disgusting.

r/nba and the entirety of nba media said he was ducking so of course the sheep brains are going to parrot that narrative for eternity

Toughness, no. Durability, yes unfortunately
