I had a new years resolution to commit to creating “long”-form youtube videos. This is my first one on Sam Merrill and would love if you guys could check it out and give me any feedback. Much appreciated.

I enjoyed it. Love Sam Merrill and I think as far as Original Content is concerned he deserves more videos so the topic choice for your first video is thumbs up.
The Positive
The video clips are steller tells a great story and the information presented is great and the timeline you present covers everything in under six minutes which is a digestible time to ask your target audience to be engaged for. Well Done.
The Constructive Critisism
You can tell that you are reading from a script. Thats fine but it is exciting information and I would maybe be a smidge and I mean a smidge more emphatic with your delivery. I’m not suggesting annoying like SAS just a smidge more in the delivery cause again the info is exciting.
Technical things to consider
I’m an Audio Engineer. You need to play with your EQ a bit at the 8kHz-10kHz realm. There is a great deal of Sibilance lingering (lip smacking, S’s and T sounds that pop out) notching that out a bit with EQ will clear some of that out. Most of your dialog is in the 400Hz range so you can cut a lot of the lower stuff out and for Talking videos you can do a pretty drastic cut of everything above 10kHz as well ( this will clear up some of the “static”.
Maybe find some free background music as well. there is a whole psychological game played with background music. shouldn’t be the focus and not really even heard just there if that makes sense. I really liked the OUTRO Music Choice.
