Lonnie Walker has generated a “wealth of interest” from playoff teams (including the Celtics) per Jake Fischer. Would you want Lonnie in Boston?

Lonnie is 25 years old and will turn 26 this December (12/14)

    Lonnie Walker this season:

    12 PPG (47% FG) (47/43/76)

    1.6 APG

    2.1 RPG

He’s embraced becoming a role player—I think there’s use for him on this roster but how many minutes is he getting a night if he’s just added in to this roster without any subtractions?

What does he even bring to a team like the celtics

Can definitely use him offensively but that means less minutes for PP (not that I’m against that). Defensively he’s not great though

He feels more like a bench luxury than a need tbh. He’d be awesome to have no doubt, and if it’s possible to do so without parting with our core bench players then sure, but I think there’s need for another bench wing and another backup big before a microwave scorer necessarily.

Guys who are solely ‘get buckets’ players always have more playoff value than regular season value.

  7. I do want him but wonder if we can keep him past this season if acquired

I don’t remember his game could somebody pls enlighten me

  9. Yes bro this guy could save so many games off the bench ESPECIALLY in the playoffs with his ability to create and hit the 3

Would be a nice pickup off the bench, but I think we have a lot of players at the guard spot.

And I’m always hesitant to pick up guys who are on a contract year, because they often will play for their next paycheck, which he wouldn’t be able to do with limited minutes.

Preferably would want to target another forward or big man if we can. They would probably get more minutes at a position of need.

No – I want Saddiq Bey… send a 1st and two 2nds and use the Grant TPE, and I want Andre Drummond (if there no shot at getting Olynyk on the buyout market) and send Lamar Stevens and two or three 2nds

    **Depth**

    Guards: Holiday, White, Pritchard, Hauser

    Wings: Tatum, Brown, Bey, Brissett

    Bigs: Porzingis, Horford, Drummond, Kornet

Always liked Lonnie, he’d be great for the bench he’s been balling when he gets minutes

Depends on the asking price but definitely interested.

Brad please. This is the year to go all in, the East is in shambles. Spend a FRP if you have to, just get this done.

Derrick White played with Walker for a good long time. If I was Brad Stevens, I’d be asking Derrick this question.

Walker is a bad defender in the worst ways— the Noah Vonleh ways. He has all the tools and no feel for it. As a team that is built to have 2-way players everywhere, Walker would not fit.

But he is scoring it nice this year, he’s been somewhat healthy, he’s coming into his prime, and the salary fits. If Boston brought him in, I could definitely get excited about it

Lonnie Walker IV can play. Yes please

He absolutely won’t be back next season, but we want to win this season.

He’s an ethical bucket. Don’t know who we’d give up tho.

  19. SmokeFace917

We need a stretch 4 more than another wing player

Lonnie is a good guy too. Very, very humble beginnings

Class act – works his tail off – great stroke and athletic

Celtics would be lucky to get him. Good luck 🍀

Getting him would be a great snag, if nothing else just so no other contender can get him lol

  22. TheLongerTheFeet

Literally #1 on the wish list. Don’t see exactly how we make the move though?

  23. King-Wilbur

As a Lakers fan I hope you lads/ladies don’t get him!

  24. Princessk8--

I’d love to get him. Young, can shoot the 3, he’d be perfect for our bench.

  25. I love the idea of a microwave off the bench. Always been of the opinion we need a ‘Jordan Clarkson-esque’ player. Lonnie Walker can be that.

10000% yes. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know his value. He would fit the Mazulla offense perfectly
