[Slater] Steve Kerr said Gui Santos “reminds me a little of Juan Toscano-Anderson” because he “sprints the floor every time, makes the hustle plays that frankly nine other guys don’t make.” He gave a transition example yesterday that was “like an instructional tape” (clip in video) (1:52)

We finally have a spiritual successor for JTA :’) He even talked about how Gui told the coaching staff he was looking around for Steph and Klay to set a screen just like how JTA used to
so happy for gui – all the work he has put in and definitely making his opportunity count!
Watching him in summer league I felt at the time his comp was andre that can eat space, shoot 3’s and a bit of playmaking. You gotta his humbleness as well.
Wow I’m shocked that the man who named his son a racial slur would compare two players because they’re Latino. Showing his true colors!
Looks like the NBA is also the Gui League
As a Brazilian, I’m very happy to see him having the opportunity, we know how hard he’s been trying, there’s still a lot to be worked on, I hope he continues to evolve, with the return of injured players he’ll probably miss minutes but with the Over time he will earn his space on the team, let’s do it Gui Santos 🇧🇷♥️
Except Gui is bigger and younger than when they had JTA. Loved Juan and knew about him back when he was a beast in HS. Just wished he hit his stride sooner to develop his game more.
If we can play Gui at Center, hmm…
I still don’t know how you couldn’t get high off of setting a good screen for Steph to drain a 3 off of. I mean, I like watching my shot go in the hoop too, but wow, that would feel pretty fuckin’ great, up there with a nice dime, or pickin’ someone’s pockets.
A shot at 9 other players lol. I hope everyone steps up like Gui. If everyone played with his effort, our defense might actually improve.
“Never a hesitation on a cut, a box-out, rotations”
LETS REWARD HUSTLE AND HARD WORK!
Wait, Kerr just noticed this? Where was Gui all these times?
It’s not like he just got here. He’s been with the Dubs for 3 years. Every foreign kid who has the privilege of playing in the NBA will work the ass off to make it here
Love to see it. Glad that Kerr recognizes it and hope he continues to get some minutes when guys come back from injury.
