Alright Presti, you’re up.
Jwill 1/6
Krich 0/4
And got abused all night on defense, like usual. Presti how do you have so much strength to watch your team get bodied every night and do nothing…
Hate playing the Jazz
The one time Minnesota loses, we sell the game. GG Jazz.
Just ran out of gas. It’s been a
long few weeks for these guys. I’m sure they’re looking forward to the next few days off
This Jazz team honestly needs to be higher up on the standings. Yes we played bad, but damn they’re so good.
-16 rebound differential.
That was really really ugly
missed Joe big time tonight
Great games by Lauri, Dunn, and George. We lost on the road, no need to panic.
You guys have to stop your obsession with Lauri man, I want him on the team too but we’re not getting him unless we give up JDub + major draft capital
Ainge isn’t stupid and won’t trade away his star player for peanuts
This team is good enough Presti. We need to make an upgrade at the deadline. They deserve it even if it’s a small upgrade
If Giddey reverts back to himself just because Jdub is back in the lineup, you have to try him as a 6th man. Because this isn’t working
Minnesota wins. We win. Minnesota Loses. We lose. Why can’t we just pull ahead once.
Is it hate to say Giddey might lose his starting role against the Twolves if we meet them in the playoffs?
We don’t even need Lauri we just need someone to guard guys that size and knock down an open 3. JDub is a great defender but he just doesn’t have the length to deal with guys like Lauri full time.
Thoroughly confused with some personnel decisions there. I get we wanted to match their size but JWill was awful tonight and we stuck with him too long. Matter of fact, Vasa, Caso and Kenrich were also pretty bad. Not sure why we went away from Ous so quick, he at least offers length and was hitting his shots. More Wiggins earlier would have been nice.
Late game offense was also confounding, we couldn’t crack the zone and chose to drive into a sea of defenders which ended poorly or shoot bad 3’s.
22+ from our big 3 should win us most games, no one else apart from Wiggins came to play
I am tired of losing the goddamn rebounding disparity every night. At times they literally had three big men playing at once with Collins-Markannen-Olynyk. Meanwhile we play one skinny as big the entire night beyond JWill, who should be deeper into the bench
Thunder shot 51% from three. Should have shot 63 of them.
Winning on the road is a tough row to hoe. TTFU!
Chet subs out with 4:44 minutes remaning in the 3rd 89-79 OKC, 45-28 for the jazz the rest of the game. Kenrich and J-will were terrible tonight and Shai had a bad second half too.
we gotta get a chip before whatever the fuck Trader Danny is building cones to life
We only play again saturday, this is the game that Chet, SGA and Jdub all should play close to 40 minutes.
We lost this so Westbrook could gain the 1 seed
I know some of you guys like Kenrich but every time I complain about a player, my wife always knows it’s Kenrich. He is so frustrating to watch. You can see the talent gap grow and grow between he and our young guys.
Also, how many illegal screens were there tonight? I know I’m a homer but seemed like almost every possession for Utah.
Teams like the Jazz, Lakers, and TWolves show we need additional interior presence.
We don’t need to sell the barn to get one, we just need another big body to put in so that they won’t abuse us when Chet goes to the bench and we play 5 guys 6’6” or smaller.
We also need to stop thinking that making a move requires us to use a chunk of our assets when we have the choice not to and still get a player we want.
Presti accumulated picks and assets for instances like this so he can build a proper team unlike those Westbrook teams where he essentially had to work magic to get something done so let’s just wait and see what he does and trust him like we always did.
Ousmane looked really Diengerous tonight in the 10 minutes he got. I feel like he deserved to be out there more.
8pts, 1ast, 2reb, 1stl, 1blk. 3/3 fg
His per-36 statline is insane in this game. (Though, unrealistic lol)
29, 4, 7, 4, 4
🗣️ Ousi deserves more minutes
This sub has had a taste of success this season and is insufferable whenever we lose. Yes, it sucks. But it’s not the end of the world unless we drop the next 4 straight.
This sub is going to be a horror show for the next few seasons.
[Been my take for a while now](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/lcvy9EmCH7)
The play I had in my head rn is the one where he got the ball in the corner after shai/dub passes to each other and navigated through the zone to find the open “shooter” who’s not a reliable shooter.
Mark noticed issue a bit too late but at least he still put wiggs in there at the end.
You can say this game is not on him but I disagree. Even with the rebounding issue, this game was won if we play better to close, and that means giving shai/dub 3 shooters to work with. I do agree that having someone like DFS who actually have the size to matchup with big wings like Lauri would help, but again that’s just part of the issue.
I’m not mad that we lost. I’m mad that we lost when Minnesota also lost.
Jazz would be crazy to trade Markkanen. That dude is a star.
