Irwin is is reporting things are very quiet on the Lakers front. Pelinka has been trying but there just aren’t many players available that would move the needle.

Miles Bridges! He just dropped 41 on us

  2. He makes a great point too. Waiting to fix the roster at the deadline is such a risky proposition and I think we’re going to be burned accordingly

This team and roster management is so ass. We’re asking Bron and ad to make wine outta diarrhea. I don’t blame them if they’re outta here soon

While I agree, we need a fucking perimeter defense, Reaves,Dlo and Fucking Prince will get shredded by everyone in the west

  5. Naive_Illustrator

Plenty of players we want. None available.

No reason to blow the whole load on subpar players. This the right approach

Would be nice if we kept the first round pick, so we can use it next season for a bigger move.

Why is Irwin reporting? Who is his source?

The play-in has turned a lot of sellers into teams willing to stand pat. Means all the buyers are circling around the same names.

If Murray is off the board then the priority needs to be finding defense across the board and a physical big.

A lot can change in 36 hours but I expect Pelinka to make a couple moves we’re happy with, even if they’re on the marginal side.

So we basically gonna just get under the tax and that’s it.

  10. Zeetheking1

I don’t know why this shocking. Aside from last year, Pelinka is not known to make any deadline moves. The closest was when we traded rondo to the hawks. I don’t remember what we got, 2nd rounders maybe?

This guy doesn’t know shit and just regurgitates the national reporters

  12. KingNephew

Could very well be true but we’ve heard worse last year.

“It’s gonna cost 2 moves just to get off of Russ”, etc.

  13. flowermoon24

this is the quietest trade deadline ever, no news, no nothing.

  14. goatnxtinline

Don’t force a trade if it doesn’t make us better. Call me crazy but what I saw from our current roster over these past three games has given me hope. We have the pieces to make a run, it’s just about everyone buying in again regardless of Darvin Ham.

The nuggets game will be the true test but D’lo has made me a believer again and the bench guys have shown that they can contribute enough to put us over the edge and win games.

The luxury tax gets toxic this summer and results in the loss of draft picks and other non-money stuff. (The billionaire owners can’t just buy their way out) The Lakers look really good in that respect. Some other teams will be desperate to jettison contracts.

I doubt the Lakers will be willing to trade good contracts for awful contracts.

Thank you for your time here LeBron

    Caruso tonight only had THREE points – but – checks notes – 9 rebounds- 6 assists – 2 steals – 4 blocks and a team high + 19!

Not all about scoring – one reason I hate it when people say AD doesn’t score enough. But I digress

    We need AC Fresh!!

  18. rob was very fortunate last season’s deadline, very few gm’s pull that off in the offseason — let alone the trade deadline. it’s impossible to replicate that, circumstances change everything. every other fo across the league knows they’re desperate to make a move, and will
tax a premium for whoever they want.

the moves they’re trying to make are better suited in the offseason. this isn’t prime lebron, with an established coach/system. you can’t keep shaking the roster up at the deadline, and expecting things to pan out — just doesn’t work that way. paying a premium for unproven role players that don’t move the needle; is a lateral move at best.

I’m fine with this. I think this summer is when most of the league will be active. A lot of teams don’t have the draft picks to trade right now and they’ll have a few to move after the draft.
Lakers will have three first rounds to trade this summer player DLo contract on the last year

  20. the_bob_of_marley

You won’t hear anything until a deal is done. It will most likely be a player you never even thought of.

  21. ObviousTruth12

Free agency this upcoming off-season is a average.

  22. beasttyme

Well that’s what happens when you wait until the last minute.

Hopefully they can still get a good deal to fix the holes in this team. But honestly with Ham still there it may be pointless.

  23. I understand not doing a trade if it won’t move the needle but I have a fear that they will lose DLO for nothing.

  24. lolxddavid

Too many buyers and not enough sellers. It’s been a very quiet trade deadline this season. No fun in that

  25. percbandit

LeBron putting up 25/7/8 in year 21 probably has them thinking he can do this another 2 years to be honest.

And that they can improve to title status in the summer. Very risky gamble because you can’t be this good forever.
