[Fischer] Boston will likely be limited to adding pieces through its $6.25 million traded-player exception with which the Celtics could bring on a veteran target such as Otto Porter Jr., sources said. Another name on Boston’s radar: Nets guard Lonnie Walker.

Another name on Boston’s radar: Nets guard Lonnie Walker, who’s generated a wealth of interest from playoff teams while playing well on a minimum contract, sources said.

Celtics have to go all in now! The East is wide open give up the few 1st rounders that we have and the 2nds we need players that can play in the playoffs

I will take one Lonnie Walker, please!

I hope it isn’t Porter Jr., dude is beyond the hill and into the valley at this point

Lonnie Walker would be a real solid pickup, but do we have the minutes and shots for someone like him? Worth finding out, imo.

Wonder what his price would be. Two 2nds? One of which isn’t actually real?

  5. If Brad gets Lonnie Walker with how limited we are he might actually be the GOAT GM.

I think you have the wrong yahoo link, Fischer’s piece: https://sports.yahoo.com/andrew-wiggins-appears-to-be-warriors-biggest-trade-chip-but-a-deal-remains-a-challenge-225816934.html

I like both of those names. I don’t know how ambulatory Otto Porter is these days but he’s smart, big and can make shots.

Walker’s not a guy who you want to count on every night, but he had moments for the Lakers and if Hauser/Pritchard are getting run off the line and struggling to make an impact he has more juice off the dribble

Lonnie is a nice option, we don’t have a player like him as a microwave shooting guard to play like a poor man’s Donovan Mitchell, slash and kick.

Otto Porter is significantly worse than Oshae so I’m not very excited for that.

Porter killed us in the finals. Seemed like he hit a bunch of big shots

  9. Walker is interesting. Still prefer Konchar and Marshal before him.

I like Lonnie Walker but I think what makes him a unique piece is not really what we need. He’s a dynamic shot creator, but in the playoffs when we will almost always have at least 2 of JT, JB, White, and KP on the floor, I’m not sure we need his iso game.

His shooting has come along nicely this season but it’s on a fairly small sample of 156 attempts, and he’s been inconsistent his whole career.

Getting Lonnie Walker would be like when we got Josh Richardson…yes please.

Lonnie Walker would be good. May be to costly but Kispert from Washington would be good. Tre Murphy would be unbelievable, but don’t think we could pry him from NOLA.

I once was a table over from him at a happy hour when I lived in DC. Nobody else recognized him so I didn’t want to draw attention and his night with his friends… but it was tough. I would have loved to say hi.
