playoff mavs can beat anyone. Can do some upgrades in shooting and defense, but overall we got good pieces especially if Maxi, Kyrie, and Lively are healthy.

Dallas just needs to make the playoffs and avoid the play-in… Nobody would want to see this team in the playoffs, although there's a ton of really good teams in the West. Beating Luka in a 4 out of 7 chess match is no small feat, especially with Kyrie having his back.

Luka won european championship and euroligue with star playmaker similar to Kyrie. And in both cases there was no problem in sharing the ball. He is over ball dominent in Dallas because there was not anouf good players around him . I don t remenber not iven one game in which Kyrie and Luka played together and they didn t click.

Kyrie, especially, is made out of glass and seems to play one game for every 6 on the bench. I donāt know how they expect to get into the playoffs with this crew.
You know what, as much as I like both of them, I agree with Shaq.
Unless they both get more players involved with set plays, AND they both get 3-4 steals a game (which they did last night), I donāt think they can be good enough defensively.
Luka & Kyrie will win you games, and I applaud Dallas for taking the initiative to bring in a second star. However what this team needs is an elite big man and versatile wing defenders. Building an NBA roster is incredibly hard, especially not being in a big destination city like LA or Golden State, however having a 7man PF/C roster of Holmes, Morris, Prosper, Powell, Kleber, Lively, & Williams is absolutely crippling them. Their starting PF & C is 6'6" and a year-one rookie. Luke & Kyrie combine for 71 minutes which only leaves 25 mins for Hardy, Curry, Exum, & Green to fight over. The only small forwards on the roster are THJ (who is a catch & shoot SG playing SF) and Derrick Jones Jr (basically a vet minimum player.)
The Mavs are obviously trying to do their best at building around Luka, but could you imagine for a second that we could just switch out a few players. Let me trade Kyrie for Sabonis, Kleber for Caruso, & THJ/Morris for Mikal Bridges.
Luka – Caruso – Bridges – Williams – Sabonis (Exum, Hardy, Green, Jones Jr, & Lively as your main bench mins.) I like their playoff chances.

Ohhh C'mon KAI missed 21 games and him and Luka are doing good. Team just need to get healthy to see the real progress. If they can somehow grab another backup center and a big wing defender 6feet 8inches +, they'll be set for playoffs. It's just this Luka Kai hate nonstop. Mavs BIG 3 (LUKA, KAI + D.LIVELY II) played just 269 minutes together in a whole season and they are top 7 trio in NBA.
