[Woj Pod] The Lakers are one of the teams, there’s a a bunch of teams with Toronto on Bruce Brown, they’re taking their time, trying to see what exactly the best one (offer) can be.

Woj goes onto say that it’s not inconceivable that they don’t trade him this week, but he does say that ideally they will (trade him), he’s a a veteran player that probably wants to be a contender vs this rebuilding young team (Raptors).

Well it’s tomorrow not much longer now

Might as well let it get down to the wire see who ponys up the best offer if he has so many suitors.

Makes all the sense in the world to move BB by the deadline, especially if they value flexibility, they lose some of that flexibility by picking up BBs option, very teams would ba able to absorb BB into cap space so you’d have to take back salary that’s still on the books to trade him in the summer.
So if they value flexibility, they’ll take the best offer they can get for BB before 3pm tomorrow, same goes for Boucher.
If any team offers even a protected 2nd for McDaniels I’ll drive him to the airport myself.
Dennis for a protected 1st, if not just keep him
OPJ and Thad, if a team offers a 2nd and they have a TPE then do it, if not buyout OPJ and just keep Thad who’s a good vet but who should be playing less down the stretch.
GTJ won’t net you a 1st, so if they want to bring him back and think they can get him at a reasonable number then do it, but if they don’t plan on bringing him back at all, just trade him
Jak, unless a overpay gets offered, keep him for now.
A successful deadline to me is BB being moved for a 1st and Boucher being moved for an expring salary and a 2nd or more assets to take on a longer term deal.

I would guess we are actively seeking a 2025 FRP, but teams are only offering a 2024 FRP, multiple seconds, or a very distant first (in the Lakers case 2029).

We’ve known this for two weeks. Is this going to keep getting posted every day?

A 3 way type of trade for Claxton would be so damn good. Then we turn around and flip Yak to get something.

Honestly I’m fine getting expirings, cap space, an OK first and a ton of seconds for our vets.
They get to go to good teams and we get ammunition.

The Lakers are not contenders, why do they want him?
