Man… I really like him and wanted to stay. Isn’t it a cheap contract??? What’s the purpose of trading for just a 2nd

  2. LumpyExamination9226

I guess this means we’re going to see more Hendricks minutes since we’re developing him as a 3?

… is there any way this move can pave the way for another bigger deal? just seems so odd

Are you actually fucking kidding me.

Trading a really solid player for basically nothing…

Must be a smaller piece to bigger moves.

Edit: maybe not with Knox coming as well?

Basically a really late first with better flexibility. So not the worst. Guess we weren’t super interested in giving him the bag this offseason. Kind of sad. It was fun seeing him turn it around this year.

  7. This is lame. He’s worth more than that if we really wanted to move him. Should have at least gotten back a player or something.

Edit: just seeing we at least got Kevin Knox which I guess is better than just a 2nd

There it is. I feel like Hendricks will slide in nicely to his role as a 3&D. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the only trade since it makes less sense to trade Olynyk now.

    Projected rotation

    1 Dunn/George
    2 Sexton/Clarkson
    3 Markannen/Agbaji
    4 Olynyk/Hendricks
    5 Collins/Kessler

  9. What the F, I don’t believe this. No fucking way we trading Simone for some lame ass 2nd round pick…

  10. Denotsyek

I guess we’d rather have a 2nd round pick than paying more money to keep him? I liked him.

  11. Isn’t he a starter for you guys? I don’t get it.

This doesn’t make much sense in a vacuum, but maybe it’s to set up a second trade? Like to flip the second in another package to a team that wanted more picks and not a player? We used a lot of our seconds in the Conley trade last year and might have just needed one for something else.

It’s not their pick it’s the more favorable of Washington and Memphis so a good second but still not sure it was worth it

Anyone know if this is the Pistons 2nd? Will be the 31st pick if so, which is basically a super late first.

  15. I got this notif and just kinda felt a wave of pain. I trust in Ainge though, let’s get it

  16. UnfortunatePhysics

Well that’s definitely… not a lot back. Clearing roster spots or minutes for Hendricks?

No way 😭 first move by ainge i 100 feel bad about

The real trade: Hendricks and Ochai now have expanded roles and can develop a bit smoother

Welcome to the modern NBA GM experience. Don’t try and build a winning team, collect “assets”.

  20. God, I hope this doesn’t end up being another soft tank deadline like last year. Still feel like we got hosed value wise from trading Mike and co
