You’re content being a .500 team?? Because that’s what this roster is. We’ve got over half a season sample size.

  2. DirtBagFace

eh better than making a move that makes us worse. I’d hate to lose Dlo or Boston Reeves for nothing

  3. SheHulkLover

We made the right decision. I’d only trade DLo for Kyrie. Otherwise, keep my POINT GOD LOCKED IN

  4. Awesomefan09

It’s a seller’s market. Some of the asking prices are absurd right now. They usually go down closer to the deadline, but sometimes, there are off years. The Raptors were the only sellers negotiating in good faith. That’s why the Anunoby/Siakam trades were pretty fair and got done weeks ago.

If you keep overpaying, that’s just the price from now on. The Lakers learned that the hard way and really had to wade through a lot of bad faith offers last year to get a fair one… from Danny Ainge of all people. As much as we all wanted a big trade, no deal is better than a bad one.

If i knew Ham was on the other boat I would have button mashed

this has been told over and over in this sub and i will say it again. the roster is a problem but the much bigger problem is the coach. a competent, serious, and experienced coach will do better with this squad. we are winning despite the coach. our roster is good. a contender? maybe not. but we are better than what our record says.

  7. Final_Surround_1556

Theres no move on the market that wouldve made this team better or a contender. Best bet is to wait for someone better to become available this summer, this season isnt gonna be it.

  8. LosAngeles1s

I just want a small move at least, a true backup 5 would be really nice

  9. Yeesh. I am still expecting and hoping for a one or two smaller trades at least. Ones that include 2RPs and two for one deals that free up roster space.

  10. Strict-Homework-4819

No trade means quit in lebron‘s era , then the FO should start to rebuild next season

  11. Lakers are a play-in team. With better coach could be a top 6 team. This roster has obvious flaws. Last years finals run was good but this season is different. Clippers, okc, minnesota, dallas and phoenix got better. I dont know any possible trade could change it but i am sure this team is not contender and i am not content with that. You have lebron and ad, you cant be content with this. Trust me after lebron era, we will have a lot of years being content with a play-in team.

  12. popcornpotatoo250

I will take no trades. It is either this team makes the playoffs or not. If not, then good. Lebron can spare himself from an unworthy injury. After all, coaching is incompetent. Might as well be absent in playoffs than risk it for a coach who keeps his hand on his pockets.

People has been saying it before. No trades will make this team better due to bad coaching.

  13. itsnotreallyme0

Good roster + bad coach = average record.

Results support this so far after 52 games. Now with our defenders in Vanderbilt reddish gabe out, it gets worse. Davis and lbj are not fully healthy either so keep hopes down

  14. Pre Vando injury I say we had the pieces. Now we could benefit from a smaller move but I don’t think we need the deadline overhaul like last year.

Call me crazy but we know where the real weakness of the team is and its the sidelines.

  15. mapletree23

if you want to win, why would you be content at a .500 team arguably as weak as last year even when lebron and AD were unhealthy?

Dlo is scoring 30 now, when the playoffs start and the intensity goes up, what happens when he starts shooting under 40% from the field again and can’t hit a 3?

staying with this team is probably losing

  16. pickleballz8

I’m sure lakers make a minor trade of some kind. But it wont change things much. This team when healthy can compete in the playoffs. It was proven last year. Vando is a major key for us. When he is healthy and engaged more on offense i this team is in the wcf. Denver looks beatable but i still think we lose to them in a 7 game series.

Mitchell is a pipe dream so forget it. There is no player out there lakers can get that will change this team now or in off season that will change the basic roster construction. Pelinka ruined this team with the Westbrook trade. Imagine this team with kcp and kuzma. Wow.

  17. Magic_SnakE_

There’s no one to trade for that’s going to do shit but fuck up our chemistry at this point.

Everyone knows this team is a 2nd round exit at very best no matter what trades they make.

  18. wut_eva_bish

    Add Andre Drummond

    Add Stanley Johnson

    Cam coming back soon

Gabe will back in early March

    Vando back in April

    D-Lo balling

    Max Rising

    Unleash Rui

    Things will be ok.

  19. kaygeeboo

We do not have the assets to get a true needle mover compared to other teams

  20. CooperHouseDeals

So a healthy LeBron, a healthy AD, DLO kicking up a storm, and we will below ,500 in a couple of weeks. Yep, no need for an improvement. DLO s contract will kill the Lakers if he doesn’t opt out, and if he opts in $18 million shoots the salary cap, and Lakers have nothing to offer. Plus, no decent player will want to come play for Ham. Why would they. I’m. Thinking the Laker glory days are behind them. A mediocre coach, a mediocre GM, and a mediocre owner.

  21. brazyace43

If there’s a trade that makes us better, there’s another team out there that will probably offer more. We could either stand pat or make an irrational trade that could make us worse. Maybe it’s for the best. But there’s bound to be something. We do have JHS, Vincent and some SRPs that could be of use

  22. Organic-Seaweed4394

Hey I got the reference !!! And yes I don’t think the roster is the problem

Obviously we could upgrade but it will be to expensive for us

  23. Making small trade move would be good option instead of staying pat watching other teams get better by one trade movie

  24. Savage_Ball3r

It’s not goood enough, how are we better than last years roster? We got swept 🥲

  25. ThaTruthKills

I’m fine with it. There aren’t any moves that will make us a title contender. So we might as well ride it out.

  26. StealthRUs

Pelinka should be fired for not trading Reaves to get Dejounte Murray. Reaves + JHS + a 1st rounder for Murray is a complete fucking no-brainer.

  27. I’m riding with this team. Fingers crossed Vando can be back soon

  28. GlassOnion25

After seeing Xavier Tillman go to the Celtics I’m mad we couldn’t make that move since we need a better backup to AD but yeah I can’t think of anything that will be crazy asking price. Stay the course with the current roster and just try to win consistently.

  29. lolxddavid

No trade is better than a bad trade. If there’s no trade out there or teams acting in bad faith, there’s not much we can do.

  30. If we replace Ham and retain this roster that wouldve been a win

  31. SandersisYABOI

If thats the case we ain’t wining shit.

  32. Kobe6Rings

They have smaller contracts and also plenty of 2nd Round picks to trade. Not adding anyone would be an absolute joke.

Celtics just got Tillman for 2 2nds he could’ve helped LA big time.

  33. divergent_stinker

The market is horrible. Stay put. Let this roster play together for a full season.

  34. SuperMookinFien

I think this team has the necessary pieces, we just need a better coach and to be more consistent

  35. LudwigNasche

If we are not top 4 in the West there is absolutely no reason to be happy with this roster unless you are a Boston Celtics fan.

  36. Everyone knows this year’s draft is not the best – so picks aren’t as valuable unless they are future picks (better draft)

This team is much better than their record – things **SEEM (Hopefully)** to be on the upswing, i feel like you could still turn Rui, a 2nd rounder and maybe JHS into the help they need on the edges (another big and ball handler) – trading gabe is an option as well, though I do think he will be huge in the play offs

I wouldn’t trade DLO unless you’re getting SIGNIFICANT upgrades, which is unlikely – Murray is a better defender, but I live in ATL, he’s….odd, but yes he does “have that dawg” in him

the radio guys here in ATL think there’s no chance the Hawks trade him unless they get Reaves, but they are morons so who the hell knows LOL

  37. iiivoted4kodos

Just reading this image as Deebo looking at the sub saying “What trade deadline?!”

  38. Buckowski66

It’s a very predictable mistake based on a recent small winning streak that ignores a larger sample size of a team that barely rises above 500. Having said that, I’m not saying they needed to do anything massive but I don’t think this is a championship roster. The deficits won’t really become apparent till the playoffs because these are the dog days of the schedule and a lot of teams are taking their foot off the peddle .

I think Dlo and AR did what they had to to not get traded and while I think hanging on to AR makes sense dispite his defensive inconsistency, I think playoff Dlo is a real problem.

  39. I’m not content, I would have atleast liked a somewhat decent center but I understand the thought process. Personally i think they’re banking on gabe being the upgrade we need(poa defender and scorer)
