PJ Washington played his last stinker yesterday for sure

  2. Let him walk. He made his intentions clear by taking the QO and it’s our FO’s job to not budge. The team will be fine without him, it’s time to move on. Attaching your next half decade’s hopes and dreams to the wife beater will end very poorly

Keep Bridges, develop Bridges, build around Bridges!

Good! Don’t know why this was a thing in the first place

Good. I hate him as a person and it sucks to have him on the team, but trading a 25 year old borderline all star for some role players and a few seconds would be so stupid, even for this franchise.

If we do end up resigning him, I’d be open to engaging in trade talks again. I think the fact he’s on a rental obviously lowered his value, but I do wonder what offers he could draw when he’s on a real contract. I really hate having him on the team and watching him play every night, so I’m cool with shipping him out, just want to get some actual value back.

    Awesome! Go Miles!

He’s a great player and we could build a winning team around him and B Miller!

Wish we could trade pj and Gordon for klay Thompson

Charlotte is the place that could pay him the most. He should sign the large deal he wants here, then a sign and trade if he wants. If he wants to stay, and the new regime wants him, then that’s great. It’s all about the largest bag possible for him. Probably the smartest move he could make.

  9. This is the obvious business decision to make for him.

What else is he gonna say? “Yea, trade me away so I can potentially make less”?

I do wish he wasn’t a part of the team though.

  10. Seems like this should work out for everyone. It seems that new ownership would probably like to move on from Miles. I understand that because of the horrific off-court issues. But I also don’t like his non-existent defense and I think he’s become a bit of an empty stats guy. He’s taking some shots that Miller should be shooting.

At any rate, this summer, because Charlotte keeps the bird rights, there can be a sign-and-trade where he gets the bag he wants and Charlotte gets a better future asset than they would trading him as a rental.

Just hope he doesn’t stunt Miller’s development in the interim.

So when he leaves after the season, we get nothing?

I have no doubt Miles is genuine in his desire to stay here, but this is a leverage play by Klutch. Staying put allows him his full Bird Rights, which he can capitalize on by staying here or in a sign and trade. It also puts immense pressure on the FO to not let him walk for nothing.

It’s hard to know how ownership feels about Miles long-term without a new GM in place. I do think this winds up with him re-signing though.

Oh good. I’m sure he won’t return to his usual self when he’s turn his career back on track and has guaranteed money.

Would love to see a Lamelo, Cody, Miller, Bridges and Mark lineup all healthy just once lol
